Abstract

The Krueng Raya River plays a strategic role in supporting the livelihoods of surrounding communities, both as an environmental resource and as a foundation for local economic activities. However, the river’s use remains limited and not managed optimally, resulting in underdeveloped economic potential and minimal impact on community welfare. At the same time, increasing pressure on the river ecosystem from human activities and land-use changes could reduce ecological functions and heighten environmental vulnerability. This community service program aims to optimize the potential of the Krueng Raya River to strengthen local economic development while enhancing environmental resilience. The approach involves identifying river-based economic opportunities, providing community education and assistance, and promoting environmentally friendly practices for using river resources. The expected outcomes of this program include improved community capacity for sustainable river management, the development of local economic activities based on river resources, and the preservation of the Krueng Raya River’s ecological functions as part of a long-term effort to strengthen environmental resilience.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (CSP) aimed to implement the principles of good governance in the management of milkfish and shrimp pond enterprises in the coastal area of Gampong Lamnga, Aceh Besar Regency. The main problems faced by the community include weak governance, limited community participation in decision-making, and the suboptimal role of village government in managing and supervising pond-based fisheries enterprises. The CSP activities were carried out through socialization sessions, focus group discussions (FGDs), institutional assistance, and evaluation of the implementation of good governance principles, including transparency, participation, accountability, and effectiveness. The results indicate improved community understanding of good governance practices, increased involvement of pond farmer groups in planning and management, and a strengthened role for village authorities as facilitators and local regulators. The implementation of good governance principles improved the management of milkfish and shrimp pond enterprises and supported sustainable coastal economic development in Gampong Lamnga.

Abstract

Street children remain a social group requiring continuous government intervention and appropriate institutional support. The implementation of services for street children depends not only on formal policies but also on organizational structure, distribution of authority, human resources, and coordination mechanisms. This study aims to analyze the position, organizational structure, duties, functions, and work procedures of the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) Rumoh Sejahtera Aneuk Nanggroe (RSAN) under the Aceh Social Service and to examine the implementation of coordination, care, and protection activities. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of officials within UPTD RSAN involved in the implementation of its duties and functions. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the implementation of the UPTD's organizational position and structure is constrained by limited authority and dependence on the Aceh Social Service in strategic and operational decision-making. The implementation of duties and functions is also affected by limited human resources and an imbalance between personnel and workload. Coordination activities face bureaucratic constraints and limited organizational authority, resulting in less flexible decision-making. Meanwhile, care and protection activities are constrained by the limited number and capacity of caregivers in relation to the number and needs of children served. The study concludes that the effectiveness of UPTD RSAN requires adequate human resources, more effective coordination mechanisms, and improved administrative procedures while maintaining accountability to the Aceh Social Service.

Abstract

Perempuan memiliki hak yang sama dalam memperoleh pelayanan publik yang mudah, cepat, transparan, akuntabel, dan responsif. Namun, masih terdapat keterbatasan literasi pelayanan publik, seperti kurangnya pemahaman mengenai hak dan kewajiban, persyaratan administrasi, prosedur pengaduan, serta pemanfaatan layanan publik digital. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan keterampilan perempuan dalam mengakses serta berpartisipasi dalam pelayanan publik. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui sosialisasi secara partisipatif mengenai hak dan kewajiban masyarakat, standar pelayanan, mekanisme aspirasi dan pengaduan, serta pemanfaatan layanan publik secara aman dan efektif. Peserta berjumlah 30 orang masyarakat Gampong Ateuk Lam Ura, Kecamatan Simpang Tiga, Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui lembar penilaian untuk mengukur pemahaman, keterampilan, manfaat, dan perubahan kemampuan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan soft skill, terutama kemampuan berkomunikasi, menyampaikan pendapat, mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pelayanan, serta keberanian menyampaikan aspirasi dan pengaduan. Literasi pelayanan publik juga meningkat, ditandai pemahaman yang lebih baik mengenai hak, prosedur, keterbukaan informasi, dan mekanisme pengaduan. Kegiatan ini memperkuat kapasitas perempuan agar mandiri, responsif, dan berdaya.
