Abstract

Mood disorders are a frequent complaint experienced by women during menopause due to hormonal changes. Physical exercise is known to reduce depression, but research on menopausal women is limited. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of physical exercise on depression in menopausal women. The study design used was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test for 16 weeks. The measuring instrument used was a GDS (Geriatric Depression Scale). The research subjects consisted of 34 menopausal women aged 45-65 years. Subjects were divided into two groups, including the physical exercise group (2x90 minutes/week, n=17) and the control group (n=17). The results showed that physical exercise significantly decreased depression (p=0.013) in the physical exercise group compared to the control group. It concludes that regular exercise is effective for preventing and treating mood disorders that occur when menopause.

Twelve articles have been in this literature with intervention: voice mail (1), phone call (1), text messages (3), web-based (3), applications (4). Two articles showed significant to increase motivation and education (promotion). Six articles were reported significantly increasing physical activity and weight loss (prevention). One article (promotive and preventive) reported significantly to promote knowledge and physical activity. Three articles demonstrated not significant to modify lifestyle of prevent T2DM (2 articles of prevention, 1 article of promotion and prevention, respectively). Recent review suggest that the smartphone app can help to slow-down the progression of diseases in individual with prediabetes and as a reference to construct effective program to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with T2D.

Quizzes can take the form of conventional tests (paper-based tests) and can use information technology, for example, the "Kahoot!" Application. Objective; find out the differences in student satisfaction with the implementation of the Family Nursing quiz with conventional methods and the Kahoot quiz! Application. Method: This is a quasi-experimental study with a two-group posttest only design. The data analysis process used the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Mann-Whitney test. Result; indicates the average score of satisfaction obtained at Kahoot! was 7.74 ± 1.873 and the mean in the conventional group was 7.44 ± 1.450. This shows the subject of Kahoot! has a higher satisfaction score than the conventional group subject, and obtained p-value = 0.295 which means there is no significant difference between student satisfaction scores in the Kahoot group! and conventional. Conclusion: There is no significant difference between student satisfaction scores in Kahoot! and convex.
