Abstract

The article aimed to train teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Gadingrejo in implementing the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework in classroom learning. Rapid technological advancements require teachers to continuously update their technological competencies to effectively support teaching and learning processes. The quality of learning is determined not only by teachers’ mastery of subject matter and pedagogical skills but also by their ability to integrate technology meaningfully into instruction. Moreover, the use of educational technology contributes to the development of students’ digital literacy and critical thinking skills. The training introduced two technological tools: Google Classroom as a web-based digital learning platform and Adobe Animate as software for developing engaging and interactive learning media. The results indicated that all participating teachers were able to utilize Google Classroom effectively as a digital learning platform. However, additional training is required for Adobe Animate, as many participants experienced difficulties, particularly in understanding ActionScript. This article contributes to strengthening teachers’ TPACK competencies by providing practical training in digital learning platforms and interactive media development, thereby supporting innovative learning practices aligned with 21st-century education demands.

Abstract

The article aims to understand the differences between asteroids and meteorites, identify the causes of meteor formation, and analyze the mechanisms by which Earth protects itself from collisions with extraterrestrial objects. Furthermore, the research explores the phenomenon of shooting stars from both a scientific perspective and the teachings of the Quran. This study employs a literature review method with a qualitative descriptive approach, in which data are collected from various sources, including previous research, books, and the Quran. The data analysis process involves filtering relevant information according to the research theme, presenting it narratively, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate that asteroids and meteorites are distinct celestial bodies in terms of their location and size. Meteoroids are more likely to enter Earth's atmosphere, where friction causes partial or complete combustion, producing the luminous effect known as meteors or shooting stars. From a theological perspective, meteors are associated with arrows used to prevent jinn from eavesdropping on divine matters. Therefore, it is inappropriate to associate God with this natural phenomenon by requesting or invoking shooting stars. In a religious context, humans are expected to follow divine commandments by worshiping God alone. Consequently, integrating the values of faith and devotion into science education is essential, as scientific knowledge and the teachings of the Quran have never been proven to be in conflict.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the process of religious character development among students through GASMI martial arts training at Ar-Rohman Mosque, North Metro District, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. The study was motivated by preliminary findings indicating that some students exhibited limited religious understanding, weak ethical behavior, and low discipline prior to participating in GASMI training. A qualitative approach with a descriptive field research design was employed. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving fifteen students selected through purposive sampling based on their limited religious background before joining the training program. The findings indicate that religious character development is fostered through the integration of religious practices into martial arts training activities. These practices include routine prayers before training sessions, participation in congregational prayers, weekly religious studies, fasting before level advancement examinations, and the application of educational sanctions, such as reciting the adhan or selected Qur’anic verses, for students who violate training regulations. Thematic analysis revealed the enhancement of several dimensions of religious character, including discipline, responsibility, independence, honesty, cooperation, humility, courage, and patience. The results demonstrate that GASMI martial arts training serves not only as a means of physical development but also as an effective medium for the internalization of Islamic values. This study concludes that a religiously oriented martial arts training model makes a significant contribution to the development of students’ religious character. It also recommends further research to examine its applicability and effectiveness in broader educational and community settings.
