Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of YouTube learning media on student learning outcomes in writing paguneman texts in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Ciniru. The background of this study is based on students' low ability in writing Sundanese dialogues, which is characterized by a lack of understanding of conversational structures and minimal creativity in composing paguneman scripts. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental one-group pretest-posttest design method. The research sample consisted of 32 class VII-A students selected through a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used included writing tests (pretest and posttest), observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests and t-tests (paired sample t-tests). The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' average scores from 56.94 (pretest) to 76.97 (posttest). The t-test results produced a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, which means there was a significant difference between the results before and after treatment. YouTube learning media has been proven to be able to improve students' understanding of the structure, content, and context of dialogues in a more interesting way through audio-visual displays. In addition, this media also increases students' motivation and active participation during the learning process. Thus, the use of YouTube can be used as an alternative strategy in Sundanese language learning, especially in writing paguneman texts, to create a more effective and contextual learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference before and after applying abacus counting tool as a mathematics learning media in improving numeracy skills of elementary school students. The method used is quantitative with Pre-Experimental research type with The One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research will be conducted at SD Negeri Ciketak with the research subjects of class IV students totalling 18 students, using simple random sampling technique. The research instruments used were numeracy test sheets and non-test sheets (questionnaires) as student responses while the data analysis techniques used were descriptive and inferential statistics. Data analysis used prerequisite test, t-test of two dependent samples/paired samples t-test, wilcoxon test, N-Gain analysis and questionnaire data processing. The results showed that there was an average difference in students' numeracy skills by using abacus counting tools as a mathematics learning media. The N-Gain value with a mean of 0.6591 where the value is included in the medium category, meaning that there is a significant increase between the average numeracy skills of students using abacus calculator as a mathematics learning media. In addition, the questionnaire results showed positive responses from students. Thus, the implementation of abacus calculator as a mathematics learning media is effective in improving the numeracy skills of primary school students

Abstract

Pembelajaran menyimak pupujian memerlukan bahan audio-visual autentik agar siswa dapat menangkap isi, diksi, pesan, dan karakter pelantunan bahasa Sunda secara utuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perubahan kemampuan menyimak pupujian setelah pemanfaatan YouTube pada siswa kelas VII MTs Amanah Geresik. Penelitian menggunakan desain pre-eksperimental one-group pretest–posttest terhadap 30 siswa dengan total sampling. Instrumen berupa 10 soal pilihan ganda yang divalidasi dua ahli; data dianalisis melalui statistik deskriptif, Shapiro–Wilk pada skor selisih, paired-samples t-test, ukuran efek, dan perubahan ketuntasan. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata meningkat dari 53,00 menjadi 68,00; 22 siswa meningkat, dua tetap, dan enam menurun. Uji t menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan, t(29)=3,62, p=0,001, dengan Cohen’s dz=0,66. Ketuntasan KKM meningkat dari 23,33% menjadi 56,67%, tetapi rerata kelas masih di bawah KKM 70. Penelitian menyimpulkan adanya peningkatan setelah penggunaan YouTube, bukan bukti kausal final. Kontribusinya ialah bukti kontekstual integrasi media autentik untuk pembelajaran menyimak sastra Sunda di madrasah serta dasar desain terkontrol untuk penelitian selanjutnya.
