Abstract

Students' interest in reading in Indonesia is still relatively low, so reading literacy or fostering interest in reading in schools is very well implemented. This research aims to identify the strategies used by the principal of SMAN 1 Langkaplancar to increase students' interest in reading. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews. The research results showed that the school principal used several strategies such as school literacy programs, improving library facilities, collaborating with regional libraries, and involving the community in literacy activities. These strategies have proven effective in increasing students' reading interest. Factors such as principal leadership, teacher and parent support, adequate facilities, and community involvement are key to the success of this program. By continuing to develop and expand literacy programs, it is hoped that students' interest in reading can continue to be increased thereby contributing to improving the quality of education in schools. Improving library facilities is an important part of the principal's strategy to increase students' interest in reading. At SMAN 1 Langkaplancar, various efforts to improve library facilities have succeeded in creating an environment that supports literacy activities and encourages students' interest in reading.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of archival management can improve school accountability at SMK Neegeri 1 Cijulang. The research method used in this research is a case study method with a qualitative approach. The research subjects in this study were the principal, head of facilities and infrastructure, and administrative staff. The results showed that the management of archives at SMK Negeri 1 Cijulang was not optimal, with a lack of space and special officers in the field of archives. However, efforts have been made for archival management, such as training for administrative staff, which shows improvements in archival management. In this study, researchers also found that effective archiving can improve school accountability by facilitating access to information, increasing efficiency and reducing costs. The results of this study are expected to contribute to knowledge about the implementation of archival management in improving school accountability and provide recommendations for improving the quality of archival management at SMK Negeri 1 Cijulang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how SLiMS (Senayan Library Management System) based library management is implemented in increasing student reading power at SMK Negeri 1 Cijulang. The main focus of this research includes how the process of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating library management is carried out by utilizing the SLiMS system as a digital media that facilitates the management of library information systematically and efficiently. Efforts to increase student reading power are an important background in this study, given the low interest in reading among students which is still a challenge in today's digital era. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study type. The subjects in this study include the head of the library, service technicians, reading technicians, and students as key informants. Data collection was done through interviews, observation, and documentation. This method was chosen to explore data comprehensively, deeply, and in accordance with the real conditions in the field. The data analysis technique used in this research refers to the Miles and Huberman model, which goes through three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification.The results showed that the use of SLiMS has had a positive impact on the efficiency of library management, easy access to information, and student interest in utilizing library services. However, there are still some obstacles such as the unavailability of electronic books and the absence of a structured permanent literacy program. Therefore, strengthening literacy programs and procuring digital collections are important recommendations to improve students' literacy culture in a sustainable manner.
