One of the problems faced in the learning process in Buddhist Sunday schools is that some students do not show good cooperation. In addition, some students are less interested in participating in these activities, which is caused by a dislike of the learning methods applied. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population consisted of 44 students, with a sample of 15 students taken through a sampling technique from another monastery. The study was conducted at a Buddhist Sunday school in a monastery, with respondents from students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The analysis results using simple linear regression indicate that collaborative learning strategies significantly affect cooperation among Buddhist Sunday school students. The research has limitation in the period of time to deepen the study and for the next researcher to develop the methodology on do the deeply observation with a case study method.

Abstract

Reward-based learning strategies on the level of laziness of Buddhist Sunday School students. The problems among Buddhist Sunday School students are that some students are too lazy to come to the monastery, lack motivation and participation in learning activities, and prefer other activities such as playing games and then coming to the monastery. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was 31, which was obtained by collecting data after distributing questionnaires. The study was conducted at the monastery and included respondents from Buddhist Sunday school students. The study's results showed a negative influence between reward-based learning strategies on the level of laziness of Buddhist Sunday School students in 2024, with a t count of -9.285 and a significance value (p) of 0.000 > 0.0. The simple regression analysis calculation results obtained the R Square value as 0.748. It means that reward-based learning strategies affect the laziness of Buddhist Sunday school students by 74.8%, and other factors influence the remaining 25.2%.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of project-based Learning Models on critical thinking. Project-based Learning makes a significant contribution to developing students' critical thinking skills. Students involved in PJBL tend to be more active in the learning process, can ask in-depth questions, and have the ability to analyze and reflect on information critically. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Respondents in this study were elementary school students. The research population was 47 students, obtained through the proportional random sampling technique—respondents of elementary school students in the 2024 academic year. The study results showed a significant favorable influence between Project Learning and students' Critical Thinking with a t count of 72.0 and a significance value (p) of 0.000 <0.05. From the simple regression analysis calculation results, the R Square value was 28.0. Project Learning affects critical Thinking by 72.0%, and other factors influence the remaining 28.0%.

Abstract

Buddhism or the Buddhist Morality or Pancasila refers to the application of the five moral principles in Buddhism, namely: not killing, not stealing, not lying, not having inappropriate sexual relations, and not using alcohol. These principles are the ethical foundation for living a good and harmonious life. Through Pancasila Buddhist divination, a person hones their spiritual intelligence by living a life that is moral, mindful, and in harmony with universal values. Spiritual Intelligence is the ability to understand the meaning of life, make ethical decisions, and foster empathy and self-awareness. This research is included in the survey/interview method with a descriptive quantitative approach. Descriptive quantitative research is research whose task is to analyze data in the form of numbers used to find out and describe existing phenomena to find a relationship or influence between 2 variables to obtain conclusions from the research results. Quantitative research is a research method based on the philosophy of positivism because it fulfills scientific principles, namely concrete/empirical, objective, measurable, rational, and systematic.
