Abstract

ABSTRAK Berbagai macam faktor bahaya maupun risiko yang dapat mempengaruhi keselamatan maupun kesehatan pekerja penyapu jalan, diantaranya adalah keluhan musculoskeletal dalam melakukan pekerjaaan menyapu jalan. Penelitian untuk mengetahui kelelahan musculoskeletal penyapu jalan. Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan crossectional. Keluhan yang dominan dirasakan pekerja adalah sakit pada kaki kiri dan sakit pada kaki kanan 10,24%, selanjutnya yaitu keluhan sakit pada pinggang sebanyak 8,27%, sakit punggung, sakit pada lutut kiri dan sakit pada lutut kanan sebanyak 5,12%, sakit pada lengan atas kiri dan sakit pada lengan atas kanan sebesar 4,72%, sakit pada betis kiri dan sakit pada betis kanan sebesar 4,33%, sakit/kaku di leher bagian atas, sakit pada bahu kanan dan sakit pada lengan bawah kiri sebanyak 3,94%, sakit pada bahu kiri dan sakit pada tangan kanan sebanyak 3,54%, sakit/kaku di leher bagian bawah dan sakit pada paha kiri sebanyak 3,15%, sakit pada lengan bawah kanan sebanyak 2,76%, sakit pada tangan kiri dan sakit pada paha kanan sebanyak 1,97%, sakit pada bokong sebanyak 1,57%, sakit pada pergelangan tangan kiri sebanyak 1,18%, sakit pantat dan sakit pada pergelangan tangan kanan sebanyak 0,79%, dan sakit siku kiri, sakit siku kanan, sakit pada pergelangan kaki kiri serta sakit pada pergelangan kaki kanan sebanyak 0,39%.

Abstract

The road sweeper in doing work is very vulnerable with a variety of risks, especially the risk of safety and health such as the risk of hearing loss due to noise, stress, dehydration, getting hit by vehicles, and health disorders due to fatigue, bacterial, impaired respiratory system due to inhaling the smoke of vehicles and dust, or viruses. The purpose of the research is to know the Hazard and risks, to the safety and health of the worker. The research methodology used is a qualitative interface with a cross-sectional design. In conducting identification and risk assessment using Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), AS/NZS 4360 Standard. The highest risk value (Extreme) is at the hazard of motor vehicles with the risk of being hit by motor vehicles (deceased) 1 (one) category. Total Risk Rating 31 categories with detailed 1 (one) category Extreme, 13 (thirteen) category High, 9 (Nine) Medium category, and category Low as many as 8 (eight) categories.

Abstract

Sidewalks are made to provide convenience for pedestrians to be able to access public roads while also protecting from the dangers of passing vehicles (accidents). But now, most of the sidewalks have changed their main function. In some corners of the city of Balikpapan, we can see a lot of sidewalks that are used by informal traders as a place to open their sales. For this reason, pedestrians must go down to the shoulder of the road to walk. The aim of the researcher to achieve this research is to find out the territorial behaviour of informal traders towards pedestrian safety. The research methodology used is a qualitative descriptive methodology with the main goal of making a picture or description of an application objectively The results showed that the impact of this behaviour on pedestrian safety in the form of defective functions of the sidewalk on the road, where there is only one side of the sidewalk that can be used because it is not used to sell. So pedestrians also try to cross to use sidewalk facilities on the other side that are not used to sell traders who have the risk of conflict between pedestrians and vehicles at the crossing point.

Abstract

One of the main causes of work accidents caused by humans is fatigue. Causes of fatigue can be influenced by sleep disturbance due to jet lag or work shifts. The role of the security officer is to increase the feeling of security for employees at work. Therefore the security officer is demanded to always be at the worksite at all times. PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Balikpapan applies a shift system for security personnel consisting of the morning shift, afternoon shift and night shift. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of work shifts with work fatigue in security officers at PT Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Balikpapan. This research method uses quantitative using the IFRC (Industrial Fatigue Research Committee) questionnaire. IFRC (Industrial Fatigue Research Committee) questionnaire totalling 30 questions consisting of 10 questions about weakening activities, 10 questions about weakening motivation and 10 questions about depicting physical fatigue Sample selection is taken in total sampling where the number of samples is equal to the total population with 30 samples or respondent. Data analysis uses the Spearman rank to connect variables, the results of statistical calculations show a significant relationship if the dependent variable with the independent variable with a value of p (p-value) <a (0.05). The analysis showed that the morning shift felt tired by 15 people and not tired by 15 people, the afternoon shift felt tired by 14 people and not tired by 16 people and the night shift by feeling tired by 6 people and not tired by 16 people. From the Spearman rank test results obtained 0.017 (p <0.05), it was concluded that there is a relationship between work shifts with work fatigue.

Abstract

Hazardous and toxic materials and waste have a negative impact on human safety, human health, environmental protection. More than 26 million types of chemical compounds circulating in the world will cause dangerous substances and toxic substances, while in Indonesia there are almost 5.000 species. According to the Central Statistics Agency of the KALTIM Province, the number of cars is 184.566 units, and a large number of vehicles will certainly also increase the use of oil and oil changes, where used oil is included in the dangerous substances and toxic substances category. For motor vehicle repair shops serving oil changes, it is called a producer of dangerous substances and toxic substances and is required to store dangerous substances and toxic substances. According to data from PT. Serasi Mitra Mobil (June 2019), can produce B3 liquid waste of used oil by 30 liters per month. The research objective is to determine the storage of hazardous and toxic waste case studies at PT. Serasi Mitra Mobil in Balikpapan. This research was conducted by direct observation and in depth interviews related to the storage of hazardous and toxic waste. Based on direct observation and in depth interviews, PT. Serasi Mitra Mobil as a produces of dangerous substances and toxic substances is left to other parties. Dangerous substances and toxic substancesis included in the appropriate pachaging but not labeled and symbol, also not placed in a separate building. The necessary repairs consist of having dangerous substances and toxic substances facilities in the form of buildings, tanks or containers, slime, waste piles, waste impoundment, hazardous and rain protected buildings and rain and sun, having lighting, ventilation, drainage, drainage basins, waste buildings dangerous substances and toxic substances must be adhered to by dangerous substances and toxic substances, having emergency equipment. Abstract

Law Number 1 of 2009 concerning Aviation Article 136, "the transportation of special and dangerous goods must meet the requirements of aviation safety and security". Good handling of air cargo, especially dangerous goods, needs to be supported by personal knowledge, handling and transportation facilities, and optimal standard procedures. The research objective was to determine the knowledge of personnel in handling dangerous goods. The research approach used quantitative methods with a total of 30 respondents. The validity of all items of Variable X and Variable Y is declared valid because the r-count is greater (>) r-table. Each Cronbach's alpha value for variable X is 0.808 and variable Y is 0.781. For the reliability value of variable X is stated to be very strong and the reliability value of variable Y is in a strong category. Relationship knowledge of personnel in dangerous good handling is 0.744. In conclusion, there is a strong positive relationship of 0.744 between the knowledge of personnel in handling dangerous goods at PT Angkasa Pura Logistik Balikpapan.

Abstract

Driving a motorcycle needs to be supported by good driving knowledge, so that traffic order can be carried out so that road safety can be realized, besides that the enforcement of driving standards needs to be considered such as the use of helmets and driving documents. This study aims to determine the relationship of the knowledge variable (X) to the safety riding compliance variable (Y) of students of SMAN 8 Balikpapan. The method in this study using quantitative methods with a total sample of 54 students of class XII from a population of 120 students. Samples were taken randomly from two majors, namely natural Science and Social Sciences. Based on the results of the research sample test, all are valid and reliable and there is a significant relationship between the X variable and the Y variable with a P-value of 0.018. The conclusion of the research conducted on students of SMAN 8 Balikpapan that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance with safety riding.

Abstract

Transportation safety is a condition where the requirements are met so that everyone avoids the risk of accidents during travel caused by humans, transportation modes of transportation and the environment. Pedestrian safety is part of transportation safety, so it needs to be supported by good infrastructure, one of which is the People's Crossing Bridge (JPO). There is only 1 pedestrian bridge in the city of Balikpapan and it was built around 2005 which is located in the center of the shopping center area of ​​Plaza Balikpapan on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, while the population in the city of Balikpapan continues to increase every year. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of pedestrian bridges for pedestrian safety. The research method used is using a qualitative descriptive method, to find out and describe descriptively the use of pedestrian bridges for pedestrian safety in the city of Balikpapan where the authors use observation sheets regarding the physical condition of the JPO and by using interview guidelines. All data that has been collected in this study will be processed and analyzed in a descriptive form regarding the use of pedestrian bridges including security and pedestrian safety for pedestrian crossing users in the city of Balikpapan. The results showed that the pedestrian safety condition on the pedestrian bridge in Balikpapan obtained a percentage of 67% and the pedestrian safety condition on the pedestrian bridge in Balikpapan obtained a percentage of 75% and could be categorized as GOOD. Abstract

PT Unilever is a business that uses computers in its daily operations. At PT Unilever Balikpapan, computers are used in every department. 90% of employees use computers as work aids in public services, shipping, goods, engineering, and finance departments. Rapid Office Strain Assessment is an ergonomics assessment method for office and computer-related or administrative work. Rapid Office Strain Assessment is one of the office ergonomics techniques used to analyze the risks of computer use and decide what level of adjustment measures to take in response to reports of pain. ROSA observations are used to evaluate ergonomic risks in office workers, which can lead to musculoskeletal disorders. By using the Rapid Office Strain Evaluation approach, the assessment is carried out by looking at the employee's work posture. a picture of a worker to be measured. ROSA is a useful tool and one of the easiest methods to assess several risk factors associated with complaints in the form of work-related injuries to muscles, tendons, and body structures. Risk factors from computer use are divided into chairs, monitors, telephones, keyboards, and mice. The method for assessing ROSA is by assessing an increase of 1–3 for each work factor risk. The final result of the ROSA assessment will be a value ranging from 1 to 10. If the final value obtained is greater than 5, then the work is considered risky. In addition, the duration of work time is also considered. The Nordic Body Map assessment of musculoskeletal disorders begins with the identification of workers' complaints using the SNQ, which can identify the part of the muscle that has caused the complaints.Keywords: Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA), Muscoceletal Disorder, NBM
