Abstract

ntroduction Childhood is the right time to start providing stimulus so that children can develop optimally, because what children learn at the beginning of life will have an impact on life in the future. Formation of children starts from the family. The family is considered the first institution for children in providing different concepts according to their development. The role of parents is to provide guidance for their children in the formation of character and personality in each of their growth and development. Family life is an important environment for preschool children to learn survival skills and parents play an indispensable role in their growth process. In addition, every person and family has its own history or role model in raising their children. Through a good and quality parenting process, parents apply the most appropriate parenting style and best suit their children's needs. Method The research method used is an observational analytic study with a cross sectional approach Result Based on the research results, as many as (83.3%) have appropriate development, as many as (56.7%) are at the age of 6 years, as many as (60.0%) have more than one sibling, the majority of parents apply a democratic parenting style. as many (90.0%) families. Conclusion There is a relationship between family factors and the development of children aged 5-6 years at RA Nurul Hidayah

Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia's health development still facing various challenges, one of which is the high incidence of stunting in children under five. Based on a preliminary study conducted in Perina Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency, mothers' knowledge and attitudes about caring for the first 1000 days of life (HPK) were still low. The low knowledge and attitude of mothers about nutrition in 1000 HPK can lead malnutrition conditions that occur since in the womb and early period after birth so it can affect growth and development problems in the future. The government has promoted the "1000 HPK Movement" as an effort to improve nutrition, but the problem of nutrition in society has not been optimally resolved. To support the government's program, it is necessary to conduct education as an effort to increase mothers' knowledge and attitudes about 1000 HPK.Methods: This research is a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted in Perina Village, Jonggat District, Central Lombok Regency in August 2022. The population in this study were all women of childbearing age (WUS) who live in Perina Village. The sample in this study were 30 respondents who were taken by purposive sampling technique with predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The independent variable in this study was the education of 1000 HPK and the dependent variable was the knowledge and attitudes of WUS. The 1000 HPK education was carried out using the discourse method with leaflets as media. Pretest and posttest with questionnaires were given before and after education to measure the level of knowledge and attitudes of WUS about 1000 HPK. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test in the SPSS 23 program.Results: There are differences in WUS knowledge and attitudes before and after treatment. From the results of the Wilcoxon test, the value of p = 0.000 was obtained for the knowledge variable and p = 0.001 for the attitude variable.Conclusion: There is an effect of education on WUS knowledge and attitudes about 1000 HPK. Education about 1000 HPK must be carried out regularly with a variety media to increase people's knowledge and attitudes as an effort to prevent stunting and other nutritional problems.Keywords: 1000 HPK, Education, Women of Childbearing Age (WUS).

Abstract

Indonesia faces a significant challenge with child marriage, ranking second highest in ASEAN after Cambodia. This alarming trend has seen a concerning increase, highlighting the urgent need for effective interventions. In 2020 alone, NTB Province recorded 805 cases of underage marriage, emphasizing the critical nature of this issue within the region. This study aims to investigate the crucial role of family and the level of adolescent knowledge regarding early marriage in contributing to this concerning phenomenon. This study employed an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional design, conducted at SMPN 02 Batukliang in Central Lombok Regency, involving 98 adolescent students as participants. The results of the study revealed that 39.8% of respondents belonged to families with either "good" or "sufficient" levels of family role, while 20.4% belonged to families with a "poor" level of family role. Regarding adolescent knowledge about early marriage, 36.7% of respondents (36 individuals) exhibited a "good" level of knowledge, and 43.9% (43 individuals) demonstrated a "sufficient" level of knowledge. Data analysis utilizing the chi-square test yielded a statistically significant result (p-value = 0.001), indicating a strong association between family role and adolescent knowledge about early marriage among students at SMPN Satu Atap 02 Batukliang in Batukliang District, Central Lombok Regency. This research concludes that effective parental guidance significantly influences adolescents' knowledge regarding future marriage plans, indirectly contributing to the prevention of underage marriage.

Abstract

Abstrak: Indonesia berada pada peringkat kedelapan angka tertinggi dari masalah pernikahan dini. Pencegahan usia pernikahan dini oleh negara yaitu dengan memfokusakan pada perlindungan anak dan promosi kesehatan guna meningkatkan peran orang tua dalam pendidikan anak. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai optimalisasi fungsi keluarga dalam pencegahan pernikahan dini. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Dompu dengan sasaran tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, remaja beserta orang tuanya yang berkoordinasi dengan 1 mitra yaitu Desa Bakajaya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk promosi kesehatan menggunakan metode ceramah dan media leaflet.Evaluasi dilakukan dengan review kemampuan peserta sebelum dan setelah dilakukan promosi kesehatan. Berdasarkan evaluasi kegiatan didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang dampak pernikahan dini 57,4% menjadi 87,5%.Abstract: Indonesia is ranked eighth in terms of the problem of early marriage. The prevention of early marriage by the state is done by focusing on child protection and health promotion to increase the role of parents in children's education. This community service activity aims to increase public knowledge and understanding regarding optimizing family functions in preventing early marriage. This activity was carried out in Bakajaya Village, Woja subdistrict, Dompu Regency, targeting community leaders, religious leaders, teenagers, and their parents in coordination with one partner, Bakajaya Village. This community service activity is carried out through health promotion using lecture methods and leaflet media. Evaluation is done by reviewing participants' abilities before and after health promotion. Based on the activity evaluation, it was found that knowledge about the impact of early marriage increased by 57.4% to 87.5%.
