Abstract

Kabut dan Mimpi is a novel written by autodidact author named Budi Sardjono. The novel was published by Labuh in 2005. The novel interesting to be the object of research because its raising the issue of class conflict that occurs between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. Forms of class conflict as to whether that appears in the novel? To determinate the class conflict that is in the novel, it will use sociology of literature approach by using a Marxist approach. Novel Kabut dan Mimpi is presenting a class struggle, but as usual, still does not happen equivalence classes as coveted proletariat.???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Abstract

The development of literacy in Indonesia is still low, with minimal interest in reading impacting students' literacy skills. The causes include difficulty in understanding reading and the lack of literacy resources in schools. The School Literacy Movement by the government, including the book donation program, is expected to improve students' literacy and reading comprehension. This program involves counseling, storytelling, and a target of reading one book per month for students. Although challenges such as limited infrastructure exist, cross-sector collaboration and community support are expected to build a strong literacy culture at SDN 54 Aipiri. On September 15, 2023, a community service activity was carried out at SDN 54 Aipiri, East Manokwari, West Papua. Involving students in grades 1-6, lecturers, and Indonesian Literature students, this program aims to improve literacy skills. The stages include planning, implementation, and evaluation to expand student literacy and provide inspiration for similar programs elsewhere. The book donation initiative at SD Negeri 54 Aipiri aims to increase the book collection, stimulate students' interest in reading, and improve the quality of learning. 120 books were collected from various donors, including students, lecturers, and the community. Ongoing efforts involve more contributors. Counseling is carried out at the beginning of each learning session, including storytelling, to increase students' literacy awareness and skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan citra perempuan Papua pada kumpulan cerita pendek Cinta di Pangkalan Tempur Douglas MacArthur Werur karya Lovernia Hay. Permasalahan yang terdapat dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan dalam bentuk pertanyaan yaitu bagaimana citra perempuan Papua dalam buku kumpulan cerpen Cinta di Pangkalan Tempur Douglas MacArthur Werur karya Lovernia Hay. Untuk menjawabnya, maka digunakanlah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis dan sifat penelitian studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini didapati bahwa perempuan-perempuan Papua yang terdapat dalam objek tersebut dicitrakan sebagai perempuan yang menarik, cerdas, memiliki jiwa kepemimpinan, tangguh, pekerja keras, berhati lembut, dan penyayang. Citraan tersebut direfleksikan melalui citra fisik, citra psikis, hingga citra sosial. Citra perempuan Papua tersebut tersebar pada sejumlah cerita pendek yaitu cerpen berjudul Cinta di Pangkalan Tempur Douglas MacArthur Werur, Asterida Gadis Senja, Cinta Bersemi di Sungai Kamundan, Waktu dan Ilmu, Pilih Sesuai Kata Hati, Home Sweet Home, Kejora di Senja Milenium, Moraya dan Morako, Fenia Meroh di Jaman Gadget, Perempuan Berkasut MRP, Perempuan itu Bully, serta cerpen berjudul Perempuan Senja dan Rahim.
