Marriage is a part of the human life cycle that plays an important role in various aspects of human life.Marriage can be seen as something important because it contains values. Marriage can be seen as a social institution, so marriage regulates relationships between individuals in determining their respective roles and responsibilities. In many Indonesian literary works, you can find images ofmarriage. This research uses the short story Yang Menangis di Balik Pelaminan by Alda Muhsi toexamine the views of the characters and the value of traditional marriage contained in the short story. The short story is analyzed using literary sociology to see the phenomenon of traditional marriage and its value. This research found that there were differences in the views of figures regarding traditional marriage. There are views of figures who state the importance of traditional marriages and there are also views which believe that traditional marriages no longer need to be implemented. This is because times have changed. The result of the next discussion is regarding the value of traditional marriage inshort stories. There are three values in traditional marriage, namely, value in terms of human needs,value in terms of human ability to capture and develop it, value seen from cultural processes.

The development of literacy in Indonesia is still low, with minimal interest in reading impacting students' literacy skills. The causes include difficulty in understanding reading and the lack of literacy resources in schools. The School Literacy Movement by the government, including the book donation program, is expected to improve students' literacy and reading comprehension. This program involves counseling, storytelling, and a target of reading one book per month for students. Although challenges such as limited infrastructure exist, cross-sector collaboration and community support are expected to build a strong literacy culture at SDN 54 Aipiri. On September 15, 2023, a community service activity was carried out at SDN 54 Aipiri, East Manokwari, West Papua. Involving students in grades 1-6, lecturers, and Indonesian Literature students, this program aims to improve literacy skills. The stages include planning, implementation, and evaluation to expand student literacy and provide inspiration for similar programs elsewhere. The book donation initiative at SD Negeri 54 Aipiri aims to increase the book collection, stimulate students' interest in reading, and improve the quality of learning. 120 books were collected from various donors, including students, lecturers, and the community. Ongoing efforts involve more contributors. Counseling is carried out at the beginning of each learning session, including storytelling, to increase students' literacy awareness and skills.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan bentuk-bentuk Indoglish yang muncul dalam media ruang publik seperti spanduk, baliho, papan nama toko, dan iklan, yang mencakup campuran unsur leksikal berupa kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat dari bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Inggris. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menganalisis fungsi dan makna sosial dari penggunaan Indoglish, dengan meninjau aspek-aspek sosial, ekonomi, budaya, serta representasi identitas, kekuasaan, dan ideologi pemilik ruang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis teks untuk menggali fenomena linguistik dalam konteks lanskap linguistik di Distrik Manokwari Barat. Peneliti mengumpulkan data melalui teknik dokumentasi lapangan dengan pengambilan gambar langsung terhadap objek-objek linguistik di lokasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beragam bentuk wujud ragam Indoglish dalam lanskap linguistik media publik, termasuk pada tataran kata, frasa, klausa, dan kalimat. Selain itu, seluruh data yang dianalisis mencerminkan keenam fungsi bahasa menurut Roman Jakobson serta mengandung makna sosial yang merepresentasikan identitas, kekuasaan, dan ideologi tertentu dalam ruang publik.
