Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a type of degenerative disease in which chronic joint inflammation occurs that can occur in the elderly. People with osteoarthritis will feel pain and experience functional limitations. Physiotherapy helps prevent and minimize further joint damage. The success of the rehabilitation program depends on the patient's skills in doing exercises, lifestyle changes, such as maintaining weight and avoiding activities that improve the joints. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Application of the Information Motivation Behavioral Skills Model (IMB) on the tertiary preventive behavior in osteoarthritis patients. Subjects and Method: This was a cross sectional study conducted at a physiotherapy clinic in Surakarta, in January 2025. A sample of 210 osteoarthritis patients was selected using the fixed diseases sampling. The dependent variable was the tertiary preventive behavior. Independent variables were information, motivation, and behavioral skill. The data were collected using questionnaire and analyzed using a path analysis. Results: Tertiary preventive behaviors in OA patients increased with behavioral skills (b= 0.45; 95% CI= 0.34 to 0.55; p<0.001) and motivation (b= 0.44; 95% CI= 0.34 to 0.53; p<0.001). Behavioral skill increased with information (b= 0.47; 95% CI= 0.37 to 0.57; p<0.001) and motivation (b= 0.35; 95% CI= 0.25 to 0.46; p<0.001). The goodness of fit indices were p= 0.285; RMSEA= 0.026 (<0.050); CFI= 1.0 (≥0.90); TLI= 0.99 (≥0.90); and SRMR= 0.01 (<0.050). Background: Exclusive breastfeeding is essential for optimal infant health, yet its coverage in Indonesia remains suboptimal, partly due to prelacteal feeding practices that interfere with breastfeeding initiation and increase health risks for newborns. The purpose of this study was to examine how maternal intention and prelacteal feeding habits are impacted by attitude, subjective standards, and perceived behavioral control among postpartum mothers. Subjects and Method: This was a quantitative observational study employing a cross-sectional design, conducted in Grogol District, Sukoharjo, Central Java, Indonesia, from February to March 2026. A total of 82 postpartum mothers ≤42 days after delivery were chosen using total sampling. The independent factors were attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and intention, and the dependent variable was prelacteal feeding practice. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the data, and logistic regression was used for analysis. Results: Subjective norms (OR= 3.12; 95% CI= 1.15 to 8.64; p= 0.012) and perceived behavioral control (OR= 5.16; 95% CI= 1.83 to 14.79; p<0.001) were significantly associated with maternal intention. Intention (OR= 2.68; 95% CI= 0.99 to 7.27; p= 0.029) and perceived behavioral control (OR= 4.69; 95% CI= 1.67 to 13.45; p<0.001) were significantly associated with prelacteal feeding practices. In multivariate analysis, perceived behavioral control remained the strongest determinant of intention (OR= 6.88;95% CI= 1.63 to 28.92; p= 0.008) and prelacteal feeding practice (OR= 4.26; 95 % CI= 1.62 to 11.17; p= 0.003). Conclusion: The most significant factor influencing mother intention and prelacteal feeding practices was perceived behavioral control. Health promotion strategies should focus on reducing breastfeeding barriers and strengthening family and healthcare support.

Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM), known as the “silent killer,” continues to show an increasing number of cases. It has emerged as one of the most serious and common chronic diseases, leading to life-threatening complications, disability, and reduced life expectancy. The persistently high prevalence of diabetes in Karanganyar Regency, along with the interaction among multiple determinants, underlies the objective of this study, which is to analyze the influence of structural, cognitive, and relational social capital models on tertiary preventive behavior among elderly individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Subjects and Method: This study employed a cross-sectional design. It was conducted in Karanganyar Regency (Jatipuro, Jatiyoso, and Karanganyar sub-districts), Central Java, from January to March 2025. A total of 210 elderly participants were selected using certified random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The analyses included univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses using a structural equation model (SEM). The dependent variable was tertiary preventive behavior among elderly individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. The independent variables were social capital, comprising structural social capital, cognitive social capital, and relational social capital. Results: Structural social capital had a positive and statistically significant effect on tertiary preventive behavior (b= 0.32; 95% CI= 0.13 to 0.52; p= 0.001). Relational social capital also showed a positive and significant effect on tertiary preventive behavior (b= 0.37; 95% CI= 0.15 to 0.59; p= 0.001). Age demonstrated a negative and statistically significant effect on tertiary preventive behavior (b= -0.09; 95% CI= -0.16 to -0.03; p= 0.003). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that elderly individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who have higher levels of social capital—comprising structural, cognitive, and relational dimensions—are more likely to engage in tertiary preventive behaviors.

Background: Free health screening programs (Program Pemeriksaan Kesehatan Gratis/PKG) are essential promotive and preventive strategies to improve public health through early disease detection. However, community participation remains suboptimal despite the availability of free services. This study aimed to analyze factors influencing community participation based on the PRECEDE–PROCEED model. Subjects and Method: This was an analytic cross-sectional study conducted in six public health centers in Sragen Regency, Central Java, Indonesia. The target population was community members aged ≥15 years who were eligible for the PKG program. A total of 264 respondents were selected using simple random sampling. The dependent variable was community participation in the PKG Program. Independent variables included predisposing factors (knowledge, attitude, motivation), enabling factors (facilities, ease of access, service information), and reinforcing factors (social support). Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test and multiple logistic regression. Results: Multivariate analysis showed that respondents with easy access to health services were 4.40 times more likely to participate in the PKG Program than those with difficult access (OR= 4.40; 95% CI=1.41 to 13.72; p=0.011). Respondents with high social support were 22.03 times more likely to participate than those with low social support (OR= 22.03; 95% CI=4.59 to 105.74; p <0.001). Although not statistically significant, facilities showed a borderline association with participation (OR=0.02; 95% CI=0.0002 to 1.39; p=0.070). Social support was the most dominant factor influencing participation. Conclusion: Community participation in the PKG Program was relatively high. Social support was the strongest determinant of participation, while ease of access significantly influenced participation. Although not statistically significant, the availability of facilities showed a borderline association and may contribute to improving community participation.
