Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan model pembelajaran kooperatif inkuiri dengan konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Bilah Hulu tahun pembelajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode quasi eksperimen. Pada penelitian sampel diambil sebanyak 30 orang untuk masing-masing kelompok dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif inkuiri pada kelas eksperimen dan model konvensional pada kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa pilihan ganda yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel (SPLTV). Hasil pengujian hipotesis posttes pada kelas eksperimen dan kontrol diperoleh thitung = 3,060 pada df = 29 taraf nyata = 0,05 dengan ttabel = 2,716. Pada hasil tersebut dapat dinyatakan bahwa thitung > ttabel maka 3,060 > 2,716 sehingga Ho diterima. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif inkuiri lebih baik digunakan dari pada konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Model konvensional kurang efektif dapat dilihat dari hasil posttes kelas eksperimen dan kontrol diperoleh standar deviasi 7,506 dengan rata-rata nilai pretes kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran inkuiri adalah 71,73. Model pembelajaran kooperatif inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa Pada hasil posttes kelas eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata 71,73 dengan standar devisiasi 7,506 sedangkan pada hasil posttes kelas kontrol diperoleh rata-rata 66,83. Sehingga dikatakan bahwa semua Variabel berpengaruh secara signifikan. Maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning), dan untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa melalui model pembelajaran CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) lebih baik dari pada model pembelajaran konvensional.. Sampel penelitian di ambil 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik random cluster  sampling, yaitu kelas XI IPA 3 sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 2 sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah  tes kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam bentuk uraian. Data rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen yaitu 40,87 dan rata-rata pre-test kelas kontrol yaitu 40,58. Setelah diberikan perlakuan pada masing-masing kelas diperoleh data rata-rata post-test pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 61,70 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 52,40. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian uji t diperoleh nilai sig < taraf sig (α = 0,05) untuk dk = 58 yaitu 0,000 < 0,05 yang artinya bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan kata lain terdapat peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang diajar menggunakan model CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning). Berdasarkan uji N-gain pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh indeks gain sebesar 0,53 dengan karakteristik sedang dan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh indeks gain sebesar 0,3 dengan karakteristik rendah.

Abstract

Abstract. Learning outcomes are a measure of the success of students in learning the material delivered by the teacher. Data on students 'mathematics learning outcomes obtained at Bilah Hulu 2 High School showed that students' mathematics learning outcomes were relatively low so it was necessary to improve them, especially on mathematics subjects. The objectives of this research were to find out knowing the effect of mathmagic on the scramble learning model on student learning outcomes in the subject matter of Inverse Functions. This type of research is quantitative research using The One Group Pre-Post Test test Design. The research instruments used tests of student learning outcomes in the form of multiple choices. Data were analyzed by the T-Test, namely Paired Sample T-Test. The results average learning outcomes of class X MIA 1 Bilah Hulu 2 High School before being taught using mathmagic with a scramble learning model of 10.14 and a standard deviation of 3.563 and after being taught using mathmagic with scramble learning model of 16, 72 and standard deviation 2,987. Because the data obtained from the results of the t-test at a significance level of 0.05 is t count t table that is 16.784 2.045 then Ha is accepted. From these results, it can be concluded that there is a mathmagic influence with the scramble learning model on student learning outcomes by matching the question cards and answer cards available in random circumstances.Keywords: Mathmagic, Scramble, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir abstrak peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran problem posing berkelompok, 2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir abstrak peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional, 3) menganalisis guna menentukan peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir abstrak lebih tinggi. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan postestest only control group design., penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan pembelajaran problem posing berkelompok dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan Kabupatan Labuhanbatu yang terdiri dari Sembilan kelas dengan jumlah keseluruhan peserta didik 288 orang. Sedangkan sampel diambil dengan teknik pengacakan kelas sehingga terpilih kelas VII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII6 sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing-masing terdiri dari 32 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kemampuan berpikir abstrak peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui pembelajaran problem posing berkelompok berada pada kategori sedang skor rata-rata 39,22, (2) kemampuan berpikir abstrak peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui pembelajaran konvensional berada pada kategori sedang skor rata-rata 28,59, (3) kemampuan berpikir abstrak peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Rantau Selatan dengan pembelajaran problem posing berkelompok lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive qualitative research which aims to describe the students 'ability in solving story problems in terms of students' mathematical reasoning and communication abilities. Reasoning and communication abilities can be identified by solving story problems on two-variable linear equation material based on reasoning and communication indicators in research, namely (1) proposing conjectures, (2) stating everyday events in language or mathematical symbols, (3) estimating answer and solution process, (4) draw conclusions, compile evidence and provide reasons for the correctness of the solution. The selection of the research subjects used a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method was the test method through 3 steps of analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the students' ability in solving story problems in terms of mathematical reasoning and communication abilities was classified as moderate with the average percentage of each indicator, namely: 77% of the indicators proposed a guess; 73% of indicators represent everyday events in language or mathematical symbols; 66% on indicators predicted the answer and solution process; and 50% on indicators draw logical conclusions. Overall, the percentage results obtained an average of 66% in the medium category. From these results it can be concluded that the ability to solve story problems of class X students of SMK Dwi Guna Kampung Pajak in terms of mathematical reasoning and communication abilities of students is classified as moderate. Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa. Kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi dapat diidentifikasi dagan menyelesaikan soal cerita pada materi persamaan linier dua variable yang dibuat berdasarkan indikator penalaran dan komunikasi dalam penelitian yaitu (1) mengajukan dugaan, (2) menyatakan peristiwa sehari-hari dalam bahasa atau simbol matematika, (3) memperkirakan jawaban dan proses solusi, (4) menarik kesimpulan, menyusun bukti dan memberikan alasan terhadap kebenaran solusi. Pemilihan subjek penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dengan metode tes melalui 3 langkah analisis yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis tergolong sedang dengan hasil rata-rata persentase tiap indikator yaitu: 77% pada indikator mengajukan dugaan; 73% pada indikator menyatakan peristiwa sehari-hari dalam bahasa atau simbol matematika; 66% pada indikator memperkirakan jawaban dan proses solusi; dan 50% pada indikator menarik kesimpulan yang logis. Secara keseluruhan hasil persentase didapat rata-rata sebesar 66% masuk kategori sedang. Dari hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita siswa kelas X SMK Dwi Guna Kampung Pajak ditinjau dari kemampuan penalaran dan komunikasi matematis siswa tergolong berkemampuan sedang. Abstract

Covid-19 assistance is a difficult challenge to solve since it is affected by various intertwined variables, including income status, health, education, and living conditions. Beneficiary data collection must be performed correctly. As a result, the Labuhanbatu Regency Social Service should have a computerized system to monitor Covid-19 recipients based on income and living conditions. Waterfall models are used in the development of Information Systems to help the study, and the UML used is PHP programming language, MySql Database, Boostrap, and Sublime Document. As a consequence of the study's findings, Covid-19 Beneficiary Community Data Collection Based on Income and Home Conditions was implemented. This method will provide complete and correct information based on the covid-19 beneficiary community's requirements, presented in pdf format.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability (MCTA) through the Think Pair Share (TPS) Cooperative learning model. This type of research is a quasi-experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. Through purposive sampling, research samples were taken from class X IIS 2 as the experimental group and class X IIS 1 as the control group. The research instrument includes an observation sheet on learning activities and student MCTA tests which include pretest and posttest questions. Data analysis using N-gain score, t-test. Analysis of the observational data showed the average value of learning management with a score of 4.48. Obtaining N-Gain with t-test on student MCTA data obtained a significance of <0.05. The average acquisition of the N-gain MCTA index of students in the experimental class was 0.42 and in the control class was 0.29. Through two-way ANOVA at the gender level with a learning model to improve students' MCTA, a significance of 0.736>0.05 was obtained. It was concluded that the application of TPS-type cooperative learning in improving students' MCTA was good. The TPS-type cooperative learning model's improvement was better than the regular MCTA of students.

Abstract

In every health test, of course, there is a measurement of height, so that a person's height can be measured, starting from the soles of the feet to the head, the height measuring device used is still manual, which uses a meter and the measurement process in done by someone to measure the height of someone who wants to know his height so that the results of these measurements require more time when the number of people measured is more than 20 people in other words the manual height meter is less effective when used during the recruitment period of new employees started. With these constraints, the authors created a tool that can measure height automatically by utilizing an Ultrasonic sensor as a measuring tool and an Arduino Uno microcontroller as a control center by displaying measurement results on a 16x2 LCD screen. In this result it can replace the manual height measuring device so that it helps the activities of workers in carrying out their noble duties to provide health services to the general public.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students' Mathematical Creative Thinking Ability (MCTA) in learning mathematics with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach. So that the goals that have been set can be achieved, quasi-experimental research is carried out with the design of the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population of this research is the students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Padangsidimpuan. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, namely class X MIA 3 for the experimental group and MIA 4 for the control group. The research carried out showed that the results of the MCTA students through the Independent Samples Test obtained a significance level of 0.00 <0.05. This means that there is a significant average difference between the increase in the MCTA of the experimental group students and the control group. Furthermore, the average value of the N-gain score for the experimental group is 0.41 and the control group is 0.29. This means that the improvement of students' MCTA through the CTL approach is better than learning with the conventional approach. Furthermore, with two-way ANOVA analysis, obtained a significance level of 0.196> 0.05. This means that there is no interaction with initial abilities with the learning approach in improving students' MCTA.
