Abstract

Profit-sharing investment represents a cornerstone of Islamic microeconomics, embodying principles of justice, risk sharing, and ethical financial participation. This study aims to analyze the implementation, challenges, and optimization strategies of profit-loss sharing (mudharabah and musyarakah) contracts in microeconomic contexts. Employing a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected from secondary sources, including scholarly articles, books, and institutional reports published within the last five years. The findings indicate that while profit-sharing investment has significant potential to empower micro-entrepreneurs and promote financial inclusion, its practical implementation is constrained by institutional limitations, information asymmetry, risk aversion, and regulatory ambiguity. Successful application of profit-sharing mechanisms depends on transparency, participatory monitoring, financial literacy, and supportive social and legal frameworks. The study also identifies strategic pathways to optimize profit-sharing investment, such as institutional capacity building, technological adoption, and policy interventions. Overall, profit-sharing investment can serve as an effective, inclusive, and ethically grounded tool in Islamic microeconomics, provided that both institutional and socio-cultural conditions are adequately addressed.

Abstract This study aims to analyze the implementation of Language Month activities in optimizing students’ literacy at SMAIT Al Fityah Binjai, North Sumatra, Indonesia at the Senior High School (SMA) level. Although various studies have discussed literacy enhancement in schools, research that specifically examines the management of Language Month programs as a structured strategy for developing productive literacy in Integrated Islamic Senior High Schools remains limited. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the application of management functions, including planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision, plays a role in increasing student engagement in systematically designed literacy activities. The implementation of the program encourages students to actively read, write, and develop the ability to express ideas in a structured manner as part of strengthening productive literacy. Conceptually, these findings affirm that structured school-based language program management can serve as an effective strategy for building a sustainable literacy culture at the Integrated Islamic Senior High School level. This study implies that a well-planned and integrated program management model can serve as a reference for the development of productive literacy in other senior high schools. Abstract

Teacher ethics serves as a crucial moral foundation for educators in establishing a conducive educational environment. It encompasses relationships between teachers and students, colleagues, parents, and the broader community. This article aims to examine the role of teacher ethics in building student trust, which is an essential aspect of successful teaching and learning processes. Employing a qualitative approach through literature studies, this research identifies key dimensions of teacher ethics, including justice, honesty, responsibility, and empathy, which underpin the development of student trust. The findings reveal that consistent application of teacher ethics can enhance students’ respect for their teachers, encourage active student engagement in the learning process, and foster a positive learning atmosphere. Furthermore, the trust developed strengthens the emotional connection between teachers and students, ultimately improving student learning outcomes. This study recommends the importance of teacher ethics training for educators to ensure integrity and professionalism in every educational interaction.

Abstract

The prevalence of youth smoking in Indonesia continues to escalate, driven not only by conventional tobacco products but also by the ubiquitous penetration of electronic cigarettes (vapes) via digital platforms. This study aims to analyze the associations between exposure to social media advertisements, proximal social modeling (teachers and parents), and religious perceptions regarding smoking behaviors among secondary school students across four distinct urban areas (Medan, Banda Aceh, Padang, and Bogor). Utilizing a quantitative cross-sectional design, this study involved a representative sample of 2,845 students. Data were examined through Chi-Square () cross-tabulation analysis to map specific risk profiles for each municipality. The findings reveal pronounced geographical disparities in smoking determinants. In Medan and Bogor, social media exposure to vape advertising and smoking behaviors of teachers/religious instructors (ustadz) were consistently and significantly associated with student smoking initiation (). Conversely, in Banda Aceh and Padang, students' subjective interpretation of Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) on tobacco served as a varied yet statistically significant determinant of smoking decisions. This study concludes that the implementation of Smoke-Free Zone (Kawasan Tanpa Rokok) policies within educational institutions remains sub-optimal without stringent regulations restricting digital tobacco marketing alongside robust role-modeling from school authorities. These findings urge municipal governments to integrate a total ban on digital tobacco advertisements into the enforcement of local smoke-free ordinances.
