Abstract

Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil konversi limbah organik berupa limbah buah dan sayuran menggunakan prinsip fermentasi dengan penerapan teknologi eco enzim. Hasil yang diamati adalah berfokus pada parameter pH, kandungan Nitrogen (N) Posfor (P) dan Kalium (K). Analisis yang dilakukan bersumber pada variasi lama waktu fermentasi serta komoditi mana yang menjadi pembeda pada masing-masing parameter yang diamati Percobaan dilakukan dengan bahan bahan berupa limbah sayuran dan buah, molase sebaga media fermentasinya dan air. Adapun waktu yang digunakan adalah 3 bulan, 4 bulan dan 8 bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama waktu fermentasi akan semakin berbeda hasil konversi utamanya pada indikator pH, DO dan kandungan N, P dan K.Kata Kunci : Fermentasi, Limbah Organik, Waktu

Abstract

Indonesia berada di peringkat kedelapan untuk produksi pulp dan kertas, serta peringkat enam dunia. Industri pulp dan kertas memberikan manfaat ekonomi, namun juga menghasilkan limbah berbahaya (B3) yang memerlukan pengelolaan khusus agar tidak merugikan manusia dan lingkungan. Limbah B3 harus diidentifikasi, dikategorikan, dan dikelola sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Ada berbagai kategori dan sumber limbah B3, serta langkah-langkah yang diambil untuk pengelolaannya di PT. Tanjungenim Lestari Pulp and Paper. Penelitian di perusahaan ini dilakukan untuk mengamati pengelolaan limbah B3, melibatkan pengumpulan data primer melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta data sekunder dari literatur dan laporan perusahaan. Pengelolaan limbah B3 di perusahaan ini mencakup identifikasi, pelabelan, penyimpanan, pengangkutan, dan penimbunan yang dilakukan sesuai dengan peraturan. Selain itu, perusahaan memberikan pelatihan kepada karyawan dan menggunakan teknologi modern untuk memastikan pengelolaan limbah yang aman dan efisien.

Abstract

This research aims to redesign a wheelchair to enhance comfort and safety based on the ergonomic needs of users through a holistic ergonomic approach. The study employs the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) method to identify product failures in wheelchairs and determine preventive measures using the Risk Priority Number (RPN), calculated from Severity (S), Occurrence (O), and Detection (D). A biomechanical assessment using REBA (Rapid Entire Body Assessment) evaluates the posture and movements of wheelchair users and identifies factors contributing to ergonomic risks. The FMEA analysis revealed three failure modes with the highest RPN values: "head drooping" (192), "hands hitting the wheels" (120), and "feet drooping" (112). The REBA assessment indicated a final score of 9, signifying a high risk of injury, necessitating immediate corrective actions. In response to the findings from FMEA and REBA, a new wheelchair design is proposed, incorporating features such as neck support, a hydraulic system for the back, and calf supports. Additionally, the wheelchair dimensions will be adjusted based on the users' anthropometric measurements to ensure better ergonomics.

Abstract

This paper analyzes several aspects (technical, marketing, economic, social, and financial) of canned smoked fish (Pangasius) as a micro-industry in South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. This article adopts mix-methods. A quantitative method is used to explain technical, marketing, economic, and financial aspects, while the social aspect is explained using a qualitative method. The author collects the Pangasius species sample from nine districts in South Sumatra Province for the technical aspect. This sample transformed into canned smoked fish using several steps: preparation, making and cooking, filling process, exhausting, sealing sterilization, and cooling process. The author also collects secondary data and interviews several key informants to analyze the non-technical aspect of the canned smoked fish industry. A canned smoked fish (Pangasius) has excellent potential to develop as a micro-enterprise in South Sumatra, Indonesia. In the long-term, it could be an instrument for the local government to increase citizens' well-being based on local resources and penetrate the ASEAN free trade area. In a short time, it could be an instrument for the local government to manage the economic effect of COVID-19 in South Sumatera, Indonesia. This study could be a baseline for the government to create a policy for developing the smoked fish industry. The result of this study could be a second opinion in planning capital investment within the smoked fish industry at the SSP for the investor and the entrepreneur.

Abstract

Optimizing work movements is crucial for enhancing efficiency and reducing injury risks in industrial environments. Methods like Methods-Time Measurement (MTM), Work Factor (WF), and Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) are commonly used to analyze and optimize the workstations. However, there remains a lack of accessible tools for rapid and accurate time measurement. This study aims to develop a web-based and Android application designed to assist both students and professionals in calculating work times and optimizing movements (such as: material handling) more efficiently. The application was evaluated using the WebQual method, focusing on usability quality, information quality, and interaction quality. Evaluation results yielded scores of 82.3% for usability, 85.7% for information quality, and 80.5% for interaction quality. Validity and reliability tests demonstrated a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 87%, indicating very high reliability. The integration of MTM within this application has proven effective in accelerating work time calculations compared to manual methods and in improving movement efficiency, which directly contributes to reducing injury risks.

Abstract

Pempek Ita is a MSMEs that produces several types of processed pempek products, based on the results of initial observations there are several problems in their working conditions and the absence of K3 implementation in the workplace. This study aims to improve the work system by evaluating the condition of Pempek Ita using the WISE checklist, then using the Borda method for decision making. The evaluation results from the WISE checklist contained 19 elements that required corrective action. By using the Borda method, it is obtained that decision making for the priority of improving the work system is the work organization because it has the highest weight, which is 23%. Then a proposal for improvement of the work system is made based on the criteria of the work organization, namely implementing a periodic rest schedule in accordance with Article 79 paragraph (2) letter a of Law no. 13/2003 stipulates that companies must provide rest periods between working hours, at least half an hour after workers have worked continuously for 4 hours and that rest time does not include working hours. And conduct training programs for employees regarding OHS. General OHS expert training (Indonesian Ministry of Manpower Certification) is a program of the Ministry of Manpower (KEMNAKER) to prepare OHS experts in companies who can help develop OHS in companies.
