Abstract

In the Qur'an, there are various sources of knowledge, which explain various aspects of life, including education. This research aims to find out the signs of the Qur'an regarding community-based Islamic education so that it can be implemented in the Islamic education process. As for the method used in this research, because this type of research is qualitative research, the data used is from literature, that is, all the data and materials used are data or library materials that are appropriate to the problems raised. Meanwhile, the library materials used as research objects are books, journals, magazines, or other writings related to community-based Islamic education. The results of this research show that in the Qur'an two terms imply community-based Islamic education, namely the terms yad'ûna and ya'murûna. Many other terms refer to community-based Islamic education, but these two terms are directly mentioned in the Qur'an, and that is what differentiates them from other terms. Apart from that, the terms yad'ûna and ya'murûna have the meaning of calling for the implementation of God's commands. So community-based Islamic education organizers with the words yad'ûna and ya'murûna get a noble place before Allah. In the end, community-based Islamic education is an effort that brings good luck in this world and the hereafter.

Abstract

The phenomenon of globalization has had a profound impact on how societies conceptualize and engage with religious practices. In the context of globalization, challenges such as taṭarruf (extremism), takfīr (excommunication), and taʻāṣub (fanaticism) have underscored the imperative for the promotion of religious moderation. The objective of this study is to examine the notion of religious moderation as a potential remedy for extremism, excommunication, and fanaticism. Employing a qualitative research method and a library-based approach, the study reveals that religious moderation is essential for harmonizing religious principles with the challenges posed by global change. It is also positioned as an effective approach to countering religious extremism, reducing excommunication, and mitigating fanaticism that threatens social harmony. However, this study also identifies challenges in implementing religious moderation, particularly in addressing radicalism driven by globalization. This study addresses a significant research gap in the field of religious moderation by underscoring the absence of effective strategies for integrating moderation values into educational and social policies. The practical implications of this research underscore the necessity of fortifying the role of educational institutions, media outlets, and government policies in methodically and sustainably promoting religious moderation.

Abstract

Digitalization has changed the face of Islamic preaching and dissemination of knowledge, including the interpretation of the Qur'an, which now reaches a broad audience through various social media platforms. This transformation presents significant opportunities in religious education, but also poses serious challenges in the form of distortion of meaning and oversimplification in the presentation of interpretations. This study aims to examine the dynamics of disseminating interpretations of the Qur'an on social media from three main aspects: opportunities, potential distortion, and ethics of dissemination. With a qualitative-analytical approach, this study relies on digital documentation and literature studies of interpretation content spread on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The data is reviewed in depth to understand the methodological tendencies, narratives, and scientific responsibilities in the presentation of interpretations. The results of the study show that although social media can increase accessibility and attract the interest of the younger generation in interpretations, there is a high risk of the dissemination of interpretations that do not go through proper scientific procedures, ignore the context of the verses, and pay little attention to differences in the views of scholars. In addition, ethics in disseminating interpretations are often ignored, either in the form of plagiarism, provocation, or misleading language. Therefore, this study emphasizes the importance of ethical guidelines and the active role of religious institutions in overseeing the dissemination of digital interpretation of the Qur'an so that it remains within the scientific and Sharia corridor. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy between digital innovation and the integrity of interpretation science in presenting relevant, credible, and responsible da'wah in the information era.
