Abstract

The research was motivated by the Galodo disaster that occurred in Tanah Datar district. This disaster has an impact on the implementation of basic physics 2 lectures at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar which must be carried out online using the Zoom application. The research was conducted on two different campuses, namely 2nd semester students at UIN Mahmud Yunus Batusangkar and UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This study aims to determine whether there are differences in the results of formative assessments of students who conduct online and offline lectures by chatting with lecturers, teaching methods, and teaching media. This research was analyzed using a quantitative approach with a control group posttest only design. The instrument used is a formative question on special relativity material in essay form. The results of the study were analyzed using an independent sample t test which resulted in a 2 tailed sig value (0.269) > 0.05 which indicates that there is no difference in the results of students' basic physics formative assessment between students who conduct online and offline lectures on special relativity theory material. The average formative score of students is also not much different in both samples. The use of appropriate lecture methods, strategies, and media needs to be improved in basic physics 2 lectures.

Abstract

This study aims to find out what efforts can be made by micro teaching lecturers in their lecture classes to increase the competence of prospective physics teachers and to determine the level of student satisfaction with the efforts made by micro teaching lecturers. . This study uses a quantitative and qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Quantitative descriptive method is used to present student satisfaction data in the form of percentages and then a qualitative approach is used to explain what efforts have been made by micro teaching lecturers for the students they teach. The sample in the study were 9 students who took the micro teaching course. This research resulted in several efforts that could be made by teachers in improving the competence of prospective physics teacher students, namely conducting material presentations related to the Merdeka Belajar curriculum material, providing instructions regarding how to make teaching modules along with examples, examples of learning videos in the Merdeka Belajar curriculum, and criticizing practice. Teach on an ongoing basis. The overall level of student satisfaction with the efforts made by lecturers in the micro teaching course is 83.33%. The most satisfying effort for students is the criticism given by supporting lecturers and colleagues on student teaching performances which are carried out three times in one semester.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the unavailability of video recorder that serves to provide feedback on student performance in microteaching lectures. The purpose of this study was to obtain a description of student responses to the use of google classroom with youtube media in microteaching lectures and how the role of google classroom accompanied by youtube media in improving the quality of microteaching lectures. The researcher recorded the student’s performance, uploaded it to the youtube channel, and displayed it via google classroom. The method used is descriptive methods. The results showed that 94% of students agreed that the use of Google Classroom along with YouTube media could provide constructive feedback to students, 100% of students agreed with the use that could be an introspection material for students' teaching skills, and 90.6% of students agreed that through the use of it can improve the quality of microteaching lectures, which is characterized by an increase in students' teaching skills. The intended teaching skills are opening lessons, explaining material, questioning, giving reinforcement, making variation, using media, class management, and closing lessons. The improvement of the quality of microteaching lectures is in the medium category with <N-Gain> value of students by 0.54.

Abstract

Students' collaboration skills are very important to support the 21st century skills of future students. Students can show a good attitude of working together in solving problems, working according to roles, working together in effective time, and providing appropriate assistance between team members. The collaboration skills referred to in this study consist of 13 sub-indicators that are well explained. The purpose of this study was to determine the achievement of student collaboration skills by using virtual simulation in the form of phet simulation in ohm law practicum activities. The instrument used is a performance assessment sheet of collaboration skills based on a clear performance assessment rubric. The method used is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The results showed that the average achievement of student collaboration skills was 84% in the good category. The results showed that of the 13 indicators of collaboration skills, there were 3 indicators whose achievements were very good, namely students being able to divide their group work fairly, students being able to help team members in solving problems, and students being able to solve problems without involving lecturers.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low collaboration skills of high school students in phase F. This was due to a lack of teaching materials that were suitable for the characteristics of physics learning, which emphasizes direct experience for students, and that were suitable for the characteristics of the students being taught. Modules are very suitable for use in the learning process because they can be adapted to student characteristics and needs. Electronic modules based on project-based learning (PjBL) are able to provide direct experiences to students. The integration of electronic PjBL modules with local maelo pukek wisdom, which is closely related to students' lives, is very appropriate for collaboration. Students create miniatures of maelo pukek with their peers by incorporating physics concepts into them, which can develop students' collaboration skills. The physics concept that supports the process of making this net is the concept of fluid dynamics. This study was conducted to determine the level of students' collaborative skills through the use of electronic modules. The research approach used was quantitative with a pre-experimental method. The results showed that students' collaborative skills were quite good, with an average score of 75.00 in the use of project-based electronic modules integrated with local wisdom related to maelo pukek. The ability to provide feedback and discuss with peers is the best indicator of collaborative skills.

Abstract

The educational entrepreneurship course is a subject that is in accordance with the vision of the UIN Imam Bonjol Padang campus, namely to form graduates who are creative and independent. This course is given to students majoring in physics education which is a science group. This research aims to find out to what extent students with science knowledge are able to provide creative ideas for entrepreneurial products that they can design. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The instrument in this study was an unstructured interview questionnaire and documentation in the form of a draft proposal submitted by students. From the research results, it was found that 70% of students wanted to build their business in a field according to their knowledge, namely physics education, while 30% of students chose to build their business outside their scientific field. Furthermore, in the scientific field of business that physics education students are interested in is building face-to-face physics learning courses, building online learning courses using a special platform or through their own YouTube channel, and there are also those who choose to be creators of physics learning media which will be used by teachers. physics in school learning. for outside the scientific field, students are interested in the business of selling viral food and drinks, importing clothes traders, becoming typists, building repair shops, and becoming side dishes traders in the campus environment.
