Abstract

The phenomenon of panic attacks has become a significant mental health issue in contemporary society, especially among university students, and requires an integrated holistic response. This study aims to identify, analyze, and comprehensively synthesize the role, intervention models, and the relevance of contemporary PAI in responding to and preventing panic attacks and anxiety disorders. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative narrative synthesis approach, collecting and analyzing relevant scientific literature sources such as journal articles and books, thus providing a comprehensive overview. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education (PAI) not only serves as general spiritual support but also provides a specific and effective spiritual cognitive framework. Key findings emphasize the importance of internalizing the values of Tawakkal, implementing Dhikr and prayer practices as Islamic mindfulness mechanisms, and the role of PAI teachers as cognitive spiritual counselors. The research findings also formulate a Contemporary PAI Response Model that can be integrated into the PAI curriculum to reduce physiological and cognitive catastrophic symptoms of panic attacks.

Abstract

This study aims to qualitatively review the literature on the potential and challenges of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching the Fiqh al-Munākaḥāt course, specifically the topic of Nikah Mut'ah, in the context of Islamic Higher Education (IHE). The topic of Nikah Mut'ah is a fiqh subject rich in scholarly differences (ikhtilaf) and sensitive, requiring a pedagogical approach that can nurture critical thinking and tolerance. The method used is a qualitative literature study by analyzing academic documents, journal articles, and textbooks related to PBL, Islamic education, and contemporary fiqh. The results indicate that PBL is highly relevant for addressing the complexity and ambiguity of disputed topics, as it encourages students to construct their own understanding through analysis of real cases, comparing evidences, and producing solutions that are academically and ethically responsible. PBL facilitates the achievement of critical learning objectives and avoids dogmatism in fiqh material, with the main finding being the conceptual framework of the Adaptive Fiqh PBL Model (MPBLA-F).

Abstract

Diagnostic assessment plays a crucial role as it addresses not only cognitive aspects but also encompasses affective and spiritual dimensions. This study aims to examine the opportunities and challenges associated with implementing diagnostic assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) instruction. Employing a descriptive-evaluative qualitative approach, the study combines a literature review with interviews involving PAI teachers and school principals. The findings indicate that diagnostic assessment offers opportunities for teachers to map students' prior knowledge, support differentiated instruction, and devise teaching strategies better aligned with learners' needs. Furthermore, it serves as a means to gain a more holistic understanding of students' development regarding knowledge, attitudes, and learning readiness. However, implementation faces several challenges, including teachers' limited understanding of the concepts and the utilization of assessment results, the lack of optimal instruments for measuring affective and spiritual aspects, time constraints, and inconsistent institutional support. Therefore, enhancing teacher competence, developing more comprehensive instruments, and ensuring sustained school support are essential for the effective implementation of diagnostic assessment in PAI instruction.
