Abstract

One effort to develop the agricultural sector is by enhancing adequate agricultural infrastructure support, including through the development of Production Roads. This research aims to determine the impact of Production Road development on time efficiency, distribution, and community income in Latu Village. This is a comparative study that compares the perceptions of paired respondent samples using the Sign Test analysis method. The results of this study show that, partially, time efficiency and community income have a negative rank value of 0, and positive rank value of 24, indicating a difference and significant impact before and after the Production Road development. However, farmer community distribution has a negative rank value of 18, while the positive rank has a value of 0, meaning there is no significant impact on distribution before and after the Production Road is built in Latu Village, Amalatu District, West Seram Regency.

Abstract

The study aimed to assess the potential economic value of carbon within PT Strata Pacific's IUPHHK-HA area. The methodology involved collecting, processing, and analyzing numerical data using statistical methods. Sampling techniques included stratified systematic sampling or simple random sampling, with a maximum allowable sampling error of 20%. The study found that the carbon content reserve in tree stands within PT Strata Pacific's IUPHHK area in East Seram Regency, Maluku Province, is 44.95 tonnes per hectare. Assuming a conservative carbon value of US$ 5 per tonne, the total potential economic value of tree stands and the root shoot ratio in this area ranges from US$ 12,962,231.50 to US$ 15,221,643.25. Direct benefits for the local community include improved access to agricultural and plantation roads, social management activities (CSR) by businesses, and job opportunities. These benefits are estimated to have a direct value of Rp 3,525,000,000 per year.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the causes and potential solutions to poverty traps experienced by coastal women. Utilizing a systematic literature review method, the research identifies and synthesizes relevant findings from existing studies. The results reveal that the primary drivers of poverty among coastal women include disparities in educational attainment and limited access to economic resources. These constraints, coupled with restricted employment opportunities, contribute to economic dependency on male family members. Such dependency heightens the risk of domestic violence and reinforces the intergenerational transmission of poverty. To address this issue, the study recommends promoting women’s economic empowerment through entrepreneurship training and improved access to financial capital, which may enhance income generation and reduce economic vulnerability.
