Abstract

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of interpreting Qur’anic verses through historical and contextual lenses to provide relevant meanings for the socio-political dynamics of Muslim communities across time. This article aims to explore the connection between the Roman victory mentioned in Q.S. Al-Rūm [30]: 2–5 and Indonesia’s independence struggle by analyzing Tafsīr Ibn Kathīr and Safīnat Kallā Saya‘lamūn. The study employs a qualitative method with a thematic tafsir approach and contextual-historical analysis. The findings reveal that the verses do not merely document the Persian-Roman conflict, but convey universal messages of hope, resistance, and the triumph of the oppressed. In the Indonesian context, the verses served as ideological and spiritual inspiration for Muslim freedom fighters resisting colonialism. The novelty of this research lies in its intertextual approach, linking Qur’anic texts, early Islamic history, and Indonesia’s national struggle—an area scarcely explored in classical or modern tafsir literature. The implications suggest the potential to strengthen Islamic narratives in shaping national historical consciousness and inform character education grounded in Qur’anic values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of managerial ownership and institutional ownership on company value as an intervening variable in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used is secondary data obtained from the annual reports of mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2022 period. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study show that managerial ownership has a significant positive effect on the company's value. Likewise, institutional ownership has a significant positive effect on the value of the company. As an intervening variable, it has also been proven to affect the relationship between managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and company value. The Adjusted R Square in this study is 0.309, which means that 30.9% of the variation in the value of the company can be explained by the variables of managerial ownership and institutional ownership, while the remaining 69.1% is explained by other factors that were not studied in this study.

Abstract

Occupational fatigue is a multidimensional construct that affects physical, mental, and emotional functioning, especially in high-risk sectors such as mining. This study aims to evaluate the psychometric properties of two widely used instruments—Multidimensional Fatigue Inventory (MFI-20) and Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion Recovery (OFER-15)—in measuring fatigue among nickel mine workers in Indonesia. A total of 358 respondents completed the instruments as part of a broader fatigue risk assessment. Internal consistency was examined using Cronbach’s Alpha, while convergent and discriminant validity were assessed through correlation analysis among dimensions. Results showed high reliability for both instruments (α > 0.70 across all subscales). Most items demonstrated significant convergent validity (r > 0.4, p < 0.05), and inter-dimensional correlations supported discriminant validity (r < 0.7). These findings suggest that MFI-20 and OFER-15 are valid and reliable tools for assessing occupational fatigue in mining contexts. The study supports the use of both instruments for fatigue monitoring and intervention planning in industrial settings.
