Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of interactive learning in improving the learning motivation of senior high school students. Learning motivation is an important factor that determines students’ success in the learning process. However, many students still show low motivation due to the use of conventional teaching methods that are one-way and less involve student activity. Therefore, interactive learning is applied as an effort to create a more active, interesting, and enjoyable learning environment. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study are teachers and senior high school students who are directly involved in the learning process. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested using source and technique triangulation. The results show that interactive learning increases students’ learning motivation. Students become more active in asking questions, answering, discussing, and working in groups. Learning methods such as group discussion, question and answer, educational games, and technology-based media make students more interested and focused in learning. In conclusion, interactive learning is effective in increasing students’ learning motivation at senior high school level.
