Abstract

This study aims to improve students' memorization of the Qur'an through the application of the Quantum Tahfidz method in class VII of SMP Al-Iman Wattang Pulu, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This study is motivated by the low memorization ability of students, which is indicated by the large number of students who have not yet achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and the lack of motivation and activeness in the tahfidz learning process. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 30 students of class VII. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, tests (tasmi'), interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used simple statistics in the form of calculating the average and percentage of learning completeness. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Quantum Tahfidz method can improve students' memorization of the Qur'an. In the pre-cycle stage, learning completeness only reached 33.33% with an average value of 66.2. In cycle I, there was an increase to 66.66%, but it did not reach the success indicator, so it was continued to cycle II. In cycle II, learning completeness increased to 83.33% with an average score of 88.5, which is included in the excellent category. In addition to improving learning outcomes, the Quantum Tahfidz method was also able to increase student activity, motivation, and participation in the learning process. Thus, it can be concluded that the Quantum Tahfidz method is effective in improving students' memorization of the Qur'an and creating a more active, enjoyable, and meaningful learning. This research is expected to be an alternative learning method in improving the quality of tahfidz learning in Islamic educational institutions.
