Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology (IPTEK) in the digital era has significantly influenced various aspects of education, including religious education. While technological advancement offers opportunities to improve the quality of learning, it also presents challenges related to ethics, morality, and the formation of students' character. This study aims to analyze the relationship between religious education and the development of science and technology, examine the role of religious education in utilizing technology, identify the impacts of technological development on religious education, and describe the challenges and solutions in integrating religious values with technological advancement. This research employed a qualitative approach using the library research method by reviewing books, scientific journals, and other relevant academic sources. The collected data were analyzed through descriptive-analytical techniques to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between religious education and technological development. The findings indicate that religious education and science and technology have a complementary relationship. Religious education serves as a moral and ethical foundation in the use of technology, while science and technology function as effective tools to support innovative learning and broaden access to religious knowledge. Furthermore, integrating religious values with technological development contributes to producing individuals who are intellectually competent, morally responsible, spiritually grounded, and capable of responding wisely to the challenges of the digital era.
