<![CDATA[This research was motivated by students' low conceptual understanding in science lessons, particularly regarding sound and its properties. This can be seen from the student grades; of the 27 fifth-grade students, 18 scored below the learning objective achievement criteria (KKTP), while only 9 students achieved scores above the KKTP. This study aims to determine the effect of the Scramble Learning Model on students' conceptual understanding of sound and its properties in grade V of state elementary school 14 toboali. The approach used was a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a nonequivalent control group design. The sample involved were fifth-grade students of state elementary school 14 toboali. Each class, both experimental and control, consisted of 27 students. Data collection was conducted through a 10-question essay test. Data analysis techniques included a normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, a homogeneity test using one-way ANOVA, and a hypothesis test using the independent sample t-test. Based on the results of the normality and homogeneity tests, it can be concluded that the data are normally distributed and both variables are homogeneous. The hypothesis test results obtained a calculated t-value (12.049) > the table (2.006) and a Sig. value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05. Therefore, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means there is a significant difference between the average posttest scores of the experimental and control classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that the scramble learning model has an effect on students' conceptual understanding of sound and its properties in fifth grade at SD Negeri 14 Toboali.]]>
