Abstract

The stability of rice price in Indonesia is an important issue as is the price flow or price transmission between farmers and rice consumers in Indonesia, both prior  and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research aims to determine trends in rice price at  farmer  and  consumer levels, and to examine the transmission of rice price between the rice market at  farmer  and consumer levels, both in the same situations: prior and during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The method used to analyze the price trends was  the Least Square method, while the process used to identify price transmission between markets at the farmer level and markets at the consumer level for the period before and during the COVID-19 Pandemic was the Engle-Granger Cointegration Test and ECM estimation. The research results show that the trend in rice prices at both  farmer  and  consumer levesl has a positive orincreasing trend before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The price transmission that occurred between the rice market at the farmer level and the rice market at the consumer level or vice versa before the COVID-19 pandemic is  significant, or in other words do not experience a spurious phenomenon (meaningless regression), and price changes are  asymmetrical. The price transmission between the rice market at the farmer level and the rice market at the consumer level or vice versa during the COVID-19 pandemic is significant, experienced a spurious phenomenon (meaningless regression), and price changes are  asymmetrical. Keywords:   COVID-19, price, rice, transmission, trend

In the process of economic growth, a high level of structural and sectoral change will be seen related to this process. This research aims to analyze the leading sectors and economic structure in Serang City.  The methods used are LQ and shiftshare analysis. This research uses secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. The results of the LQ calculation show that there are nine sectors which are the basic sectors, namely the Government Administration, Defense and Mandatory Social Security sectors with an average LQ value of 2.9, followed by the Accommodation and Food and Drink Provision sector, the Wholesale and Retail Trade sector, the Car and Bicycle Repair sector Motorcycles, Information and Communication sector, Education Services sector, Health Services and Social Activities sector, and Other Services Sectors. Abstract

Shallots are one of the horticultural commodities with significant market potential and high economic value. This study aims to: (1) identify differences in cost, revenue, income, and profit; and (2) analyze the differences in farming feasibility between millennial and non-millennial farmers in Selopamioro Village, Imogiri Sub-district, Bantul Regency. The research location was selected using a purposive sampling method, with a total of 24 millennial farmers and 30 non-millennial farmers as respondents. The first objective was analyzed using cost, revenue, income, and profit calculations, followed by an Independent Sample t-Test to statistically assess the differences. Meanwhile, farming feasibility was analyzed using the π/C Ratio. The results show that semi-organic shallot farming costs incurred by millennial farmers are higher than those of non-millennial farmers. However, there were no significant differences in revenue, income, profit, or π/C ratio between the two groups, indicating that semi-organic shallot farming is feasible for both millennial and non-millennial farmers.
