Abstract

The development of business in the tourism sector is currently very developed, thus creating competition to attract tourists between one tourist attraction and another tourist attraction in Soppeng Regency. The very rapid changes in the business environment have forced tourist attractions to continue to be proactive, innovative, and creative in developing existing tourist locations and continuously updating strategies in promoting them. This study aims to determine "Marketing Communication Strategy of Tourist Destinations in Soppeng Regency Through Social Media to Increase Visit Interest". The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentary evidence using descriptive analysis techniques, namely describing the events or incidents studied. In this study, there were 5 informants, namely tourist attraction managers, tourist attraction employees, and visitors or tourists. The research location was in Gattareng Toa Village, Marioriwawo District, Soppeng Regency. The results of this study are that tourist managers in implementing marketing communication strategies in attracting tourists include 3 (three) P activities, including promotional activities through social media in the form of Instagram, and word of mouth. The second activity is Place in the form of a comfortable, beautiful, and natural place. The third activity, Price, involves offering very affordable entrance fees for visitors.
