Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in economics subjects remain a problem that needs attention, particularly in improving the quality of learning in schools. This condition indicates the existence of internal factors influencing students’ learning outcomes, including self-regulated learning and self-awareness. Self- regulated learning reflects students’ ability to manage their own learning process independently, while self- awareness relates to students’ understanding of their own potential and abilities in learning. This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulated learning and self-awareness on students’ learning outcomes in economics subjects. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population of this study consisted of students in grades X, XI, and XII of SMA Negeri 1 Langkaplancar in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that self- regulated learning and self-awareness had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously. In addition, the coefficient of determination indicated that self-regulated learning and self-awareness contributed 58.7% to students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, improving self-regulated learning and self-awareness is an important factor in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in economics subjects.

Abstract

Low saving behavior among students indicates that financial management from an early age has not been optimal. In addition, previous studies have shown inconsistent findings regarding the influence of peer groups on saving behavior, creating a research gap that requires further investigation. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy, self-control, and peer groups on students’ saving behavior. The research employed a survey method with an associative research design. The population consisted of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya, with a sample of 191 students selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial literacy and self-control had a positive and significant effect on students’ saving behavior. Meanwhile, peer groups did not have a significant effect on saving behavior. Simultaneously, financial literacy, self-control, and peer groups influenced saving behavior, with financial literacy and self-control providing the most dominant contribution.

Abstract

This research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in economics subjects and aims to determine the effect of the application of the make a match type cooperative learning model assisted by puzzle media in improving student learning outcomes in financial institution materials in the economy. The method used was an experiment with the pre-test post-test non-equivalent control group design. The data collection technique was carried out through a multiple-choice test. The research population includes all students of class X of SMAN 6 Tasikmalaya for the 2025/2026 school year. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely class X-3 as an experimental class that was given treatment using the make a match model with the help of puzzle media, and class X-7 as a control class that used conventional learning. The results of data analysis and hypothesis testing with independent sample t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of < 0.000, so the research hypothesis was accepted. The average posttest score in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. Thus, it can be concluded that the make a match learning model assisted by puzzle media is more effective in improving student learning outcomes compared to conventional learning models.
