Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in economics subjects remain a problem that needs attention, particularly in improving the quality of learning in schools. This condition indicates the existence of internal factors influencing students’ learning outcomes, including self-regulated learning and self-awareness. Self- regulated learning reflects students’ ability to manage their own learning process independently, while self- awareness relates to students’ understanding of their own potential and abilities in learning. This study aims to determine the effect of self-regulated learning and self-awareness on students’ learning outcomes in economics subjects. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population of this study consisted of students in grades X, XI, and XII of SMA Negeri 1 Langkaplancar in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results showed that self- regulated learning and self-awareness had a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously. In addition, the coefficient of determination indicated that self-regulated learning and self-awareness contributed 58.7% to students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, improving self-regulated learning and self-awareness is an important factor in enhancing students’ learning outcomes in economics subjects.

Abstract

Low saving behavior among students indicates that financial management from an early age has not been optimal. In addition, previous studies have shown inconsistent findings regarding the influence of peer groups on saving behavior, creating a research gap that requires further investigation. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy, self-control, and peer groups on students’ saving behavior. The research employed a survey method with an associative research design. The population consisted of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya, with a sample of 191 students selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial literacy and self-control had a positive and significant effect on students’ saving behavior. Meanwhile, peer groups did not have a significant effect on saving behavior. Simultaneously, financial literacy, self-control, and peer groups influenced saving behavior, with financial literacy and self-control providing the most dominant contribution.

Data collection techniques use questionnaires with a Likert scale, and data analysis uses multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that: 1) financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on personal financial management with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The use of e-wallet applications has a positive effect on personal financial management with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. 3) Financial literacy and the use of e-wallet applications simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on financial management, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The implication of this research is the importance of literacy and the use of technology, such as e-wallet applications, in improving the quality of financial management effectively and efficiently. Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of Grade XI students in Economics at SMAN 2 Tasikmalaya. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model assisted by the team brainstorming method on students’ learning outcomes. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all Grade XI students, with class XI-D.2 selected as the experimental group and class XI-D.4 as the control group through a nonprobability purposive sampling technique. The results showed that students in the class taught using the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model assisted by the team brainstorming method demonstrated greater improvement in learning outcomes compared to those taught using conventional instruction, as indicated by differences in the mean pretest, posttest, and N-Gain scores. Furthermore, the calculated effect size of 1.074 was categorized as large, indicating that the implemented learning model had a strong effect on improving students’ learning outcomes in Economics, particularly on the topics of Money Theory, Price Index, and Inflation among Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tasikmalaya.
