Abstract

This research aims to increase teachers' interest in reading using the classroom reading learning model for class IV-B SDN Unggulan III, Morotai Island. This research uses a classroom action research approach. The data collected in this research is descriptive, namely describing each stage (cycle) carried out. The research results show that using the Classroom Reading Program model for class IV-B students at SDN Unggulan III Morotai Island increases interest in reading. The research results showed that students experienced an increase in interest in reading using the Classroom Reading Program learning model that was applied. In cycle I, it is known that there were 8 Students (36.36%) who were declared complete, while the remaining 14 students (63.63%) had not yet achieved completeness out of a total of 22 students. However, in cycle II there was an increase in scores above the average (70%) or it was known that 18 students (81.81%) were declared complete, while it was known that the number of students who had not achieved completeness was 4 students (18.18%) out of a total of 22 students.
