<![CDATA[The aim of this research is to determine the teaching skills of teachers in implementing the independent learning curriculum and the readiness of the Leading Elementary School 1, Morotai Island Regency in implementing the independent learning curriculum. Researchers use a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. The primary data sources in this research are the Teachers of Primary School 1, Morotai Island district, namely the Principal, Deputy Principal for Curriculum, Deputy Principal for Infrastructure. Data collection techniques include interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: 1) Teaching Skills of Teachers at SDN Unggulan 1 Pulau Morotai places more emphasis on learning that is designed according to the method, namely step by step, meaning that after students have mastered the material, they continue with practice so that students quickly understand the material presented. At the end of learning, teachers always carry out evaluations through remedial activities as a follow-up after completion. 2) School readiness in implementing the independent learning curriculum is more about the teacher's understanding of the independent curriculum, namely not everything is understood. However, teachers play a very important role in implementing the independent learning policy in schools. Meanwhile, the obstacle experienced by schools is the availability of supporting books. Given the obstacles, the school carries out periodic evaluations according to the conditions that occur as a follow-up to the implementation of the independent curriculum. So it can be concluded that the school is ready to implement the independent learning program.]]>
