Abstract

This study aims to describe the concept of instilling manners in everyday life, the implementation of posters as a means of instilling manners, the process of character formation in students through posters, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation in the Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Faith) subject at MTsN 1 Tuban. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the concept of instilling manners in everyday life in the Aqidah Akhlak subject at MTsN 1 Tuban is implemented through habituation, role modeling, and a contextual approach. The posters were implemented by displaying moral messages and Islamic values related to manners to teachers, parents, peers, and the school community. Posters were used as a learning tool and reminder to help students understand and apply moral values in their daily lives. The process of character formation in students occurs through three stages: understanding, habituation, and reinforcement. Through these stages, students are guided to internalize the values of manners, thus developing a religious, disciplined, honest, polite, responsible, and environmentally conscious character. The success of the character-building process is supported by teacher role models, the use of posters, a religious madrasa environment, and collaboration between the school and parents. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include low awareness among some students, the influence of their social environment, lack of family supervision, and the negative impact of technological developments and social media. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that posters are an effective tool in supporting the instilling of manners and character development in students in the Aqidah Akhlak (Islamic Faith) subject at MTsN 1 Tuban because they strengthen the understanding, habituation, and practice of moral values in everyday life.
