Abstract

The research intends to determine simultaneous and partial influence of leadership styles that include authoritarian, paternalistic, laissez faire, democratic, and charismatic on the performance of officials in The National Narcotics Agency in Palu. Type of research is causal descriptive. Population includes 40 civil servants in The National Narcotics Agency in Palu. Data collection methods are questionnaire, documentation, interviews, and observation. Sample was selected by census method. Type of data is qualitative and quantitative taken from primary and secondary sources. Method of analysis is multiple linear regressions analysis. The result proves that leadership styles that include authoritarian, paternalistic, laissez faire, democratic and charismatic simultaneously and partially have positive and significant influence on the performance of officials ini The National Narcotics Agency in Palu.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the prevalence of individuals choosing traditional medicine for both medical and non-medical treatment, emphasizing the unwavering faith of the Tembung community in the efficacy of traditional medicine, particularly green coconut oil, and herbal remedies. The literature review is anchored in the concept of preserving local wisdom in traditional medicine. Employing a qualitative research approach with an ethnographic lens, the author conducted data collection through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, utilizing Spradley's model for analysis. The findings reveal the persistent utilization of ancestral herbal remedies in traditional medicine, driven by ingrained beliefs and financial considerations, particularly as a cost-effective alternative for both medical and non-medical ailments. In summary, the study concludes that the community's strong belief in traditional medicine is rooted in its affordability and accessibility, allowing individuals to seek treatment without bureaucratic hurdles. The paper underscores the importance of government support and monitoring to ensure that traditional medicine aligns with regulations, fostering a sense of security for those seeking treatment within these practices. It is recommended that the government continues to collaborate with traditional medicine practices, ensuring a balance between cultural preservation and adherence to established standards.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan kepada siswa dan siswi Sekolah Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Karo untuk memberdayakan diri maupun kelompok dalam lingkungan sosial budaya khususnya ditempat tinggalnya dan umumnya untuk Kabupaten Karo Sumatera Utara. Pemberdayaan ini perlu dilaksanakan sebagai usaha untuk menjaga lingkungan budaya dan tradisi yang baik dalam kehidupan sosial budaya dan ekonomi masyarakat, apalagi Sekolah Madrasah Aliyah tersebut berada pada daerah pariwisata dan ekonomi pertanian. Kegitan pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan dan simulasi dengan membentuk kelompok siswa dan siswi. Hasil yang diperoleh setelah penyuluhan bahwa siswa siswi tersebut semakin memahami bagaimana cara mengelolah lingkungan sosial budaya dan manfaat mengelolah lingkungan. Sehingga sangat perlu dilakukan pada lingkungan sekitar rumah tangga, lingkungan sekolah hingga lingkungan yang lebih luas lagi

Abstract

Penyuluhan Hukum tentang Pengelolaan Hutan Lindung Oleh Masyarakat Desa Pasar Rawa Di Lembaga Pengelola Hutan Desa Pasar Rawa Kecamatan Gebang Kabupaten Langkat. Pengelolaan hutan lindung dalam hal ini adalah suatu Kawasan yang mempunyai fungsi pokok sebagai perlindungan sistem penyangga kehidupan manusia untuk mengatur tata air, mencegah banjir, mencegah intrusi air laut, dan memelihara kesuburan tanah. Pengelolaan hutan lindung merupakan hal yang harus dilakukan demi terciptanya tujuan yang telah diatur oleh undang-undang, sehingga dapat lebih mendukung upaya peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat sekitar dan eksistensi lingkungan itu sendiri. Pengelolaan hutan lindung juga harus diperhatikan mengingat masih banyak masyarakat yang bergantung dengan hutan untuk hidup dan menjadikan hutan sebagai tempat untuk bercocok tanam. Keberadaan hutan adalah daya dukung terhadap segala aspek kehidupan, hutan menjadi media timbal balik antara manusia dan makhluk hidup lainnya. Hasil dari penyuluhan ini yaitu pengelolaan hutan lindung, terhadap kesadaran masyarakat, dan hal-hal yang terjadi dalam pengelolaan hutan lindung.

Abstract

The use of internet technology today has resulted in the dissemination of information in all fields easily and quickly globally. One thing that plays a role in this is translation activities, which allow information to be shared in different languages. Translation is an activity and product that is very important for anyone who eager know or introduce things belonging to a group, culture or nation to others. Learning to translate starts from the initial phase of learning a foreign language, but the translation ability is not automatically obtained by mastering a foreign language. Considering that translation is a potential field for the translator profession, the younger generation, especially students majoring in translation, need to be motivated to work in the field of translation which is beneficial to support their achievements in academics as well as in their careers and professional lives in the future..

Abstract

One of the negative impacts of technological progress is the spread of pornographic information, which has become a serious concern for all parties, including the government, law enforcement officials, practitioners and academics, as well as society in general. Pornography crimes most often occur in cyberspace by displaying photos, videos, stories and moving images. For example, the case involving a female YouTuber from Sidoarjo who was convicted of committing the crime of pornography in the Wates District Court Decision Number 23/Pid.B/2022/PN.Wat. Regulations regarding cyber pornography in the provisions of Law no. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and Law no. 44 of 2008 concerning pornography has complex legal regulations in Indonesia, but for cyber pornography there is no comprehensive regulation. The type of criminal act of pornography via electronic media which is regulated in Article 27 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law is a formal offense because the article only describes prohibited acts, such as every person intentionally and without the right to distribute and/or transmit and/or make it accessible. electronic information and/or electronic documents that contain content that violates decency. Meanwhile, the elements of the consequences of prohibited acts are not described in the article because the consequences of cyberporn crimes are personal offenses, meaning that the consequences cannot be measured objectively. Apart from that, Article 27 paragraph (1) of the ITE Law aims to protect individual rights or concerns a person's right to privacy, therefore this article is regulated as a formal offense, not a material offense. Meanwhile, the prohibition on the dissemination of pornographic content, including via the internet, in the Pornography Law is regulated in Article 4 paragraph (1). The judge's considerations in imposing a crime in decision case number: 23/Pid.B/2022/PN.Wat have taken into account both juridical and non-juridical facts. In choosing the charges, the judge also considered which charges were deemed most appropriate, namely the first charge, namely violating the provisions of Article 29 in conjunction with Article 4 paragraph (1) of Law no. 44 of 2008 concerning Pornography in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code. The judge's application of law in the Wates District Court decision Number: 23/Pid.B/2022/PN.Wat is in accordance with the provisions of statutory regulations
