Abstract

Worm infection is still a health problem in developing countries like Indonesia. The prevalence of worms in Indonesia is generally still very high, especially among the less fortunate, with poor sanitation. Diagnosis of worm infection can be made by examining preparations using 2% Eosin dye. The simplest technique for examining intestinal nematode worm eggs is the native method, this technique uses 2% eosin reagent with the following objectives: to assess the various elements in preparations or preparations. Eosin itself is not easily decomposed and creates toxic and flammable waste, so a natural dye is needed for soaking horseradish leaves (Cordyline fruticosa (L) A. Chev) as an alternative dye. ) in coloring STH worm eggs. The research design used in this study was experimental. Andong leaves were soaked using 2N HCl for 24 hours. of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100% which gives effective results only at concentrations of 80% and 100%. Abstract

Malaria, a severe infectious disease caused by Plasmodium parasites, remains a significant health challenge in endemic regions of Indonesia, particularly in areas with favorable environmental conditions for Anopheles mosquitoes. The liver is a critical organ involved in the early stages of malaria infection. This study investigates malaria density in confirmed malaria cases in Jaro District, South Kalimantan. The aims of this study was to determine the parasitemia density in individuals diagnosed with malaria in the Jaro District, contributing to the understanding of malaria severity in this region. A descriptive survey approach was employed to measure malaria density in 15 respondents with confirmed Plasmodium falciparum infections. Total sampling was used, and blood specimens were collected and analyzed in the clinical pathology laboratory of RS Badaruddin Kasim. Blood smears were stained using 3% Giemsa stain, and parasitemia density was determined microscopically following the Ministry of Health's 2012 guidelines. The study identified varying levels of parasitemia density among the respondents: 33.3% had a low parasitemia density (+), 20% had moderate densities (++ and +++), and 26.7% exhibited high density (++++). The highest proportion of cases showed a low parasitemia density. The analysis of malaria density in the Jaro District reveals significant variability in parasitemia levels among patients. This variability highlights the importance of continuous monitoring and tailored interventions to manage malaria effectively in endemic regions. Abstract

ABSTRAK  Kopi sebagai salah satu komiditas Perkebunan Indonesia yang memiliki potensi pengembangan masih sangat baik, mengingat konsumsi kopi di Indonesia masih sangat tinggi. Saat ini, pengembangan produk kopi pengaron khas martapura masih belum belum maksimal. Melakukan peningkatan kualitas produk dengan meningkatkan jumlah variasi ukuran produk, dan redesign kemasan yang lebih menarik. Tim Mitra adalah UMKM Kopi Jahe Arab Martapura dengan tahapan yang dilakukan terdiri dari persiapan kegiatan, sosialisasi inovasi produk, redesign kemasan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Inovasi produk yang dilakukan berkaitan dengan variasi ukuran dan perubahan design kemasan yang lebih modern. Terdapat tiga variasi ukuran yaitu kemasan sachet (10 gram/sachet), ukuran 100 gram dan 250 gram. Hasil evaluasi terkait tingkat pengetahuan yang dilakukan sebelum dan setelah sosialisasi kegiatan mengalami peningkatan untuk kategori baik dari 14,29 % menjadi 71,43 %, kategori cukup dari 42,86 % menjadi 28,57 % dan kategori kurang dari 42,86 % menjadi 0%. Produk yang dihasilkan berupa kopi jahe arab yang ditingkatkan kualitas produknya dan dapat diperjualbelikan dalam skala yang lebih luas.  Kata Kunci: UMKM, Kopi, Pengaron, Martapura, Produk ABSTRACT Coffee is one of Indonesia's plantation commodities which has very good development potential, considering that coffee consumption in Indonesia is still very high. Currently, the development of Martapura specialty Pengaron coffee is still not optimal. Improve product quality by increasing the number of product size variations and redesigning more attractive packaging. The Partner Team is the Martapura Arab Ginger Coffee MSME with the stages carried out consisting of activity preparation, socialization of product innovation, packaging redesign, mentoring and evaluation. The product innovation carried out was related to size variations and changes to a more modern packaging design. There are three size variations, namely sachet packaging (10 grams/sachet), 100 grams and 250 grams. The evaluation results regarding the level of knowledge carried out before and after the socialization of activities increased for the good category from 14.29% to 71.43%, the sufficient category from 42.86% to 28.57% and the less than 42.86% category to 0 %. Abstract

ABSTRAK Informasi Nilai Gizi untuk Pangan Olahan yang diproduksi oleh UMKM, mewajibkan UMKM untuk mencantumkan informasi nilai gizi sesuai dengan ketentuan yang dibakukan. Permasalahan pada produksi kerupuk udang yang dihasilkan mitra IRT tidak mencantumkan dan mengetahui pentingnya informasi nilai gizi produk. Kurangnya pengetahuan mitra terhadap informasi nilai gizi produk. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra terhadap informasi nilai gizi produk melalui kegiatan sosialisasi sebagai upaya preventif terhadap kerupuk udang di Desa Tanjung Dewa. Sosialisasi dilakukan melalui PPT dan Pre Test dan Post Test yang diberikan ketika sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Jumlah peserta sebanyak 6 orang. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat berlangsung dengan baik dan menunjukkan hasil yang bagus. Hasil kuesioner pre Test dan pos Test menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan 30%, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra terkait Informasi Nilai Gizi Produk menunjukkan efektifitas kegiatan sosialisasi dalam meningkatakan pengetahuan mitra tentang pencantuman dan manfaat informasi nilai gizi produk.  Kata Kunci: Industri Rumah Tangga (IRT),Informasi Nilai Gizi Produk, Peningkatan Pengetahuan.  ABSTRACT Nutritional Information for Processed Foods produced by Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) requires MSMEs to include standardized nutritional information on their products. However, the production of shrimp crackers by partner household industries (IRT) does not include nor recognize the importance of nutritional labeling. This reflects a lack of awareness and understanding among partners regarding the nutritional value of their products. To enhance partners’ knowledge of product nutritional information through a socialization program as a preventive effort for shrimp cracker production in Tanjung Dewa Village. The socialization was conducted using PowerPoint presentations and a pre-test and post-test administered before and after the activity. The total number of participants was six. The community service activity was successfully implemented and yielded positive outcomes. The results of the pre-test and post-test questionnaires indicated a 30% increase in knowledge. The increase in partners’ understanding of product nutritional information demonstrates the effectiveness of the socialization activity in improving awareness about the inclusion and benefits of nutritional labeling on food products. Keywords: Home Industry, Product Nutritional Information, Knowledge Improvement.
