Abstract

Siswa harus diberi kesempatanyuntuk berpikir dan aktif memecahkan berbagai masalah yang diberikan. Penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik SMK. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan vidio pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model Flip Learning. Proses penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan model pengembangan Plomp. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri PP Padang Mengatas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan menggunakan flipped learning tergolong sangat efektif dengan persentase 86,62% untuk RPP, dan 83,93%runtuk video pembelajaran, dan sangat praktisuasing-masing 87% danu86,85%. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasilrhasil uji soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis diperolehu83,33% peserta didik memenuhuirkriteria keberhasilan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis > 80%, artinya vidio pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model flip learning sangat efektif terhadaprkemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Jadi, kemampuan pemecahan masalahumatematis peserta didik dapat ditingkatkan menggunakan video pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model flip learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMP. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model Plomp. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 26 Padang tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis CTL yang dikembangkan tergolong dalam kategori valid yaitu 87,7 % untuk RPP dan 88,77% untuk LKPD dan praktis dengan masing-masing 77,78% dan 82,85%     untuk RPP dan LKPD. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji soal tes memenuhi kriteria keberhasilan tes kemampuannkomunikasi dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 79,8 artinya perangkat pembelajaran berbasis CTL efektif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis

Abstract

Students must prioritise learning results. Eighth grade students of SMPN 25 Padang had low mathematics learning outcomes. PBL was used to address this problem. This study examines how Problem-Based Learning (PBL) affects students' mathematics learning outcomes and compares it with direct teaching. Descriptive research and pseudo-research using Non-Equivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design were used. The samples of this study were students of class VIII.4 and VIII.6 SMP Negeri 25 Padang. This study found that students who participated in PBL had better scores in mathematics compared to students who participated in direct learning.Keywords– Learning Outcomes, Problem Based Learning, Direct Learning

Abstract

Student achievement at the end of the learning process is called learning outcomes. Students in grade XI MIPA at SMAN 8 Padang recorded below-standard learning outcomes in mathematics. Passive learning is one of the causes. One alternative that can be applied is cooperative learning, namely the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model. This study used a posttest-only non-equivalent control group design with a quasi-experimental approach. Abstract

Mathematical communication ability are one of the sought-after elements in the implementation of mathematics learning and must be mastered by students. Based on observation, the mathematical communication ability of eight-grade students of MTsN 5 Padang is weak. One effort to address this issue is to apply the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, and Extending cooperative learning model. This research aimed to analyze linked to the existence of better mathematical communication ability of students who, during their studies, apply the CORE type cooperative learning model than those who study using direct learning and describe how students' mathematical communication develop during the implementation of the model. The research conducted was quasi-experimental and descriptive with posttest-only nonequivalent control groups design. The population consists of eight-grade students MTsN 5 Padang in the 2023/2024, the experimental group being class VIII.11 and the control group being class VIII.10. The quiz analysis results show that there are two models of skill development, namely constant increase and fluctuation. Final test analysis show that the mathematical communication ability of students who study using the CORE-type cooperative learning model are better than those who study using the direct learning model in class VIII MTsN 5 Padang.Keywords– Mathematical communication ability, Cooperative learning model, CORE, Direct instruction model

Abstract

Mathematical literacy is one of the abilities that must be mastered by teachers. To increase teachers' creative competence, digital modules oriented towards mathematical literacy are supported by Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) training. This study aims to evaluate the validity and practicality of digital modules oriented towards mathematical literacy. This study uses the design research method with the Plomp model, which consists of three stages: preliminary research, the prototype stage, and the evaluation stage. The instruments used were validation sheets for material experts and media experts, as well as student and teacher response questionnaires to see the effectiveness and practicality of the digital modules that had been developed. The results of the study show that digital modules oriented towards mathematical literacy using TPACK training have been successfully carried out. Based on the results of the analysis, effectiveness, and practicality, the feasibility of the module is 87.65%, which is in the very good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed mathematical literacy-oriented digital modules have valid, practical, and effective qualities to enhance teacher creativity.

Abstract

Background: Trigonometry is a challenging subject for many high school students. Incorporating cultural relevance, such as Jambi Malay ethnomathematics, into teaching can be a way to facilitate understanding. This study focuses on developing a hypothetical learning trajectory (HLT) tailored to Class X high school students on the topic of trigonometry.Aim: The primary goal of this research is to create a valid, practical, and effective HLT for trigonometry based on problem-based learning, integrating the nuances of Jambi Malay culture.Method: This study employed a combination of two design research models: the Plomp model and the Gravemeijer and Cobb model. The research was conducted in three stages: 1) initial investigation, 2) product development, and 3) assessment. Expert validation and practical testing were carried out to assess the quality of the HLT.Result: Validation by experts indicated that the developed HLT achieved a score of 3.69, falling into the "very valid" category. Practicality testing revealed a score of 80.14, categorizing it as practical. Moreover, the HLT proved effective in enhancing students' mathematical communication skills.Conclusion: The developed Trigonometry HLT based on problem-based learning and integrated with Jambi Malay ethnomathematics is valid, practical, and effective. It not only adheres to quality benchmarks but also significantly improves students' mathematical communication abilities. Therefore, it fulfills the criteria for being a suitable and effective teaching approach.

Abstract

Background: The teaching of mathematics in Islamic schools has not yet succeeded in attracting and motivating students to learn. The lack of relevant context and meaningful values in the teaching materials can lead to low student motivation. Integrating Islamic values into mathematics learning modules is expected to provide more meaningful, relevant learning experiences and increase students' motivation to learn.Aim: This study aims to produce a mathematics module integrated with Islamic values to enhance students' learning motivation. The module is designed to meet the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective.Method: This research employs the Plomp development model, which consists of three stages: preliminary stage, development stage, and assessment stage. The developed module has been validated by experts in content, language, and media.Result: The implemented module meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The module is valid with an average score of 88.9%, practical with an average score of 89.7%, and effective in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes, with 86.67% of students achieving mastery. The module also successfully increased students' learning motivation, with 84.50% of students showing improved motivation.Conclusion: Based on these results, it can be concluded that the mathematics module integrated with Islamic values is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Background: Students' limited abilities in critical mathematical thinking present a persistent obstacle in mathematics education. To address this issue, this study focuses on developing a teaching module aligned with the Independent Curriculum, incorporating the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach.Aim: This research aims to design and validate a teaching module tailored to enhance students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems.Method: Employing the Plomp development model, the study was conducted through three phases: preliminary analysis, development or prototyping, and evaluation. Data collection involved expert validation, with analysis performed using a validity index.Result: The independent curriculum teaching module received an average validity score of 3.57, categorized as highly valid, confirming its feasibility and alignment with instructional criteria.Conclusion: The findings demonstrate that the developed module fulfills all validity criteria, making it suitable for use in mathematics education to support the development of critical thinking skills. Further studies are encouraged to investigate its influence on students' learning outcomes.
