Abstract

The integration of audio-visual media in project-based learning for Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects in Vocational High Schools (SMK) is crucial for increasing student engagement and understanding. This study aims to analyze the implementation process of audio-visual-based IPAS project learning at SMK Negeri 7 Kupang, with a focus on its effectiveness in improving learning outcomes. The research method used descriptive qualitative methods, including classroom observations, teacher interviews, and analysis of lesson plans and student project documents. Data were collected from 30 students and 5 teachers involved in the IPAS project during the 2024/2025 academic year. The results indicate that audio-visual media significantly supports the project learning process by facilitating interactive discussions, strengthening conceptual understanding, and increasing student motivation. However, challenges such as limited infrastructure and differences in teacher technology proficiency were identified. This study concludes that systematic teacher training and adequate resource allocation are key to optimizing audio-visual-based project learning. These findings contribute to insights into innovative pedagogical strategies in vocational education, particularly in areas with limited resources.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model combined with the use of audio-visual media in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). The background of this study is based on the still low level of student activity and participation in the learning process, as well as less than optimal understanding of concepts due to the use of learning methods that tend to be conventional and teacher-centered. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The subjects of the study were junior high school students involved in IPAS learning. Data collection techniques were carried out through direct observation of the learning process, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to obtain a comprehensive picture of the implementation of the learning model. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Jigsaw cooperative model assisted by audio-visual media can increase student activity in the learning process, as indicated by increased participation in group discussions, the ability to express opinions, and more intense interactions between students. In addition, the use of audio-visual media has been proven to attract students' attention, increase learning motivation, and help clarify abstract concepts so that they are easier to understand. The conclusion of this study shows that the application of the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model assisted by audio-visual media makes a positive contribution to increasing student involvement, motivation, and understanding in science learning.

Abstract

Pendampingan Digital Marketing bagi Pelaku Usaha Kecil di Wilayah Sekolah melalui Kolaborasi Siswa SMK. Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut pelaku usaha kecil untuk beradaptasi, namun banyak yang masih mengalami kendala dalam pemasaran online. Tujuan program ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan digital marketing pelaku usaha kecil di sekitar SMK Negeri 7 Kupang melalui pendampingan oleh siswa SMK. Metode yang digunakan berupa pelatihan dan pendampingan langsung yang mencakup pembuatan konten, pengelolaan media sosial, serta penerapan strategi pemasaran digital dengan melibatkan siswa SMK sebagai mentor dibawah bimbingan guru dan praktisi industri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan peserta dalam mengelola akun bisnis secara mandiri, meningkatkan interaksi dengan pelanggan, serta memperluas jangkauan pemasaran. Selain itu, kolaborasi ini juga berhasil mengembangkan kompetensi siswa di bidang digital marketing. Simpulan dari program ini adalah terbukti efektif dalam memberdayakan pelaku usaha kecil sekaligus meningkatkan keterampilan siswa SMK, menciptakan sinergi yang positif antara dunia pendidikan dengan sektor UMKM.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has had a significant impact on student learning patterns and behavior. While technology facilitates access to information, it also poses challenges in the form of low critical literacy skills in filtering valid and wise information. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve students' critical literacy skills in utilizing digital technology wisely and responsibly. The target group is high school students in Lubuklinggau City who have high access to digital devices but still have limited critical thinking skills regarding digital content. The methods used in this activity include socialization, training, and hands-on mentoring. The material provided includes an introduction to digital literacy, information evaluation techniques, hoax identification, digital media ethics, and the use of technology for productive learning activities. The mentoring activities are carried out interactively through discussions, case studies, and simulations of digital media use. The results of the activity indicate an increase in students' understanding of the importance of critical literacy in the use of digital technology. Students are able to identify valid information, understand the risks of spreading hoaxes, and demonstrate a wiser attitude in using social media and other digital sources. In addition, students are also starting to utilize technology as a more effective and creative learning tool. In conclusion, practice-based critical literacy mentoring has proven effective in increasing students' awareness and skills in using digital technology wisely. This activity is expected to become a sustainable model for strengthening digital literacy in schools, fostering a generation that is intelligent, critical, and responsible in the digital age.
