Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Work Discipline (X1) and Work Motivation (X2) on Employee Performance (Y) at CV. Kombos Tendean Manado, both partially and simultaneously. The study is grounded in the crucial role of human resources as the primary driver for achieving organizational goals; consequently, employee work discipline and motivation are hypothesized to be factors that help determine company performance. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing descriptive, field, and library research methods. Data were collected through observation and questionnaires distributed to 53 employee respondents at CV. Kombos Tendean Manado. The data were then analyzed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R-Square) with the aid of SPSS software. The results indicate that, partially, Work Discipline does not have a significant effect on Employee Performance (t-count 1.482 < t-table 2.009; Sig. 0.145 > 0.05), nor does Work Motivation (t-count 0.467 < t-table 2.009; Sig. 0.642 > 0.05). Simultaneously, Work Discipline and Work Motivation also do not significantly affect Employee Performance (F-count 1.174 < F-table 3.183; Sig. 0.317 > 0.05). The R-Square value is 0.045, meaning the two independent variables explain only 4.5% of the variation in Employee Performance, while the remaining 95.5% is explained by factors outside this research model. These results must be interpreted in light of the research instrument's low reliability (Cronbach's Alpha below 0.60 for all variables); therefore, it cannot be immediately concluded that Work Discipline and Work Motivation have no conceptual impact on Employee Performance.

Abstract

The implementation of electronic services through the M-Paspor application represents digital transformation in Indonesia’s immigration sector, including the Class I TPI Immigration Office of Manado. However, implementation still faces technical disruptions, limited digital literacy, and lengthy interview queue waiting times. This study aims to describe and analyze digital-based services in passport application and delivery, implementation according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and their contribution to public satisfaction. A qualitative descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving six informants, consisting of three service officers and three passport applicants. Service quality was analyzed using Sinambela’s (2017) six indicators: transparency, accountability, conditionality, participation, equal rights, and the balance of rights and obligations. The results indicate that M-Paspor-based services are generally understood and implemented according to SOP, with relatively high applicant satisfaction. Information transparency is fairly good, although completion-time estimates, rescheduling provisions, and document upload formats require clarification. Perceptions differ regarding equal rights, as some applicants still perceive unfair treatment. Network disruptions, system errors, and delayed OTP codes remain major obstacles, while participation in feedback and complaints is low. Strengthening system capacity, information clarity, and participation features is therefore needed to improve digital passport services.

Abstract

Education can no longer be understood merely as knowledge transfer in the classroom; it also requires nonformal learning spaces that enable students to practice knowledge directly. The Investment and Entrepreneurship Gallery at the State Polytechnic of Manado is a nonformal learning space with a dual function as a capital market education center and an entrepreneurship practice laboratory. This study aims to describe the gallery’s function as a nonformal learning space and explore Business Administration students’ involvement and meaning-making regarding its activities. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving six purposively selected informants, comprising the gallery manager, supervisor, and students with different levels of involvement. Data were analyzed using Miles’ interactive model. The findings show that the gallery complements formal learning in accordance with Coombs’ (1973) concept of nonformal education and Indonesia’s Law No. 20 of 2003, although its utilization remains uneven. Student involvement was influenced by time availability and information exposure. Students interpreted their experiences through concrete experience and reflection, consistent with Kolb’s (1984) experiential learning cycle. The three-party partnership concept (3 in 1) emerged as a distinguishing factor supporting workforce and entrepreneurship skills. Effectiveness requires broader socialization and more flexible scheduling.

Abstract

Tenant supervision at the Commercial Non-Aero Division of PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia, Sam Ratulangi International Airport Manado Branch, is still carried out manually. Officers fill out paper forms in the field, and the results are then recapitulated and compiled into reports manually. This method is time-consuming, prone to recording errors, leaves data scattered and uncentralized, and makes it difficult for management to monitor tenant compliance in real time. This study aims to map the tenant supervision mechanism currently in place, design an integrated and user-friendly tenant inspection dashboard, and analyze the dashboard's interface in terms of ease of use and its suitability to the division's needs. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a design research strategy. Informants are selected purposively, and data are collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation study. The data are analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, while the dashboard design follows the stages of Design Thinking, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data trustworthiness is maintained through triangulation, member checking, and an audit trail. The theoretical foundation covers operations management, the controlling function, KPI-based performance management, tenant relationship management, and management information systems. The expected output is a dashboard prototype that helps make tenant supervision faster, more accurate, and more transparent, thereby supporting better management of the non-aero commercial area.
