Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan model instruksional, yaitu video simulasi konseling yang menampilkan pelaksanaan model konseling karier person-environment fit. Model instruksional ditujukan untuk mahasiswa S-1 program studi bimbingan konseling, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Model instruksional dikembangkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan rendahnya pengetahuan mahasiswa terkait konseling karier. Hasil analisis asesmen kebutuhan menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa belum menguasai pemecahan masalah karier, menganalisis metode/teknik yang digunakan dalam konseling karier, serta menelaah sumber informasi karier. Sehingga, konten yang dikembangkan dalam model instruksional terdiri dari kasus konseling karier, tahapan model konseling karier person-environment fit dengan sumber infomasi karier, dan kesimpulan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pengembangan Interactive Video (IVD) yang diungkapkan oleh Bergman dan Moore (1990). Pengembangan Interactive Video (IVD) terdiri dari tujuh tahap, yaitu (1) analisis, (2) desain, (3) pengembangan, (4) produksi, (5) pengarangan, dan (6) validasi. Pengujian model instruksional melibatkan ahli materi, ahli media, dan pengguna. Berdasasarkan hasil pengujian maka model instruksional dianggap mudah dipelajari, efisien digunakan, mudah diingat, sedikit kesalahan, memuaskan, serta sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini membahas data pilot dan rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to describe of the accountability of Layanan Dasar school counselor on school principals’ perspective. The study used descriptive study methods, used sampling technique was convenience sampling with a sample of 33 school principals, and instruments used were Mixed Standard Scale for Evaluating Student Behavior and analysis data used descriptive. The results of the study show that overall the level of accountability of guidance and counseling programs in schools in East Jakarta is at a low level (49%). Second, achievements based on indicators are not significantly different (10%). Third, the highest indicator of accountability is the responsibility, while the lowest indicator is the feedback mechanism. Fourth, each school falls into the low category of 50%, medium 30%, and high 20%. Based on the results there needs to be an effort to improve the accountability of the guidance and counseling program and base of feedback mechanism indicators, teacher Guidance and counseling must create a mechanism by which the principal can submit input.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive multimedia as a viable medium to be used in individual planning services about information on State High Schools in the school zone for the domicile of the new Kebayoran sub-district. The research was conducted at Purnama Middle School in Jakarta. The research used is the ADDIE development model with three stages, (1) analysis, (2) design and (3) development. The instruments used were expert validation questionnaires and user trial questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is formative evaluation techniques. The results of material validation show the category “very feasible” with a percentage of 83.33%. Then the results of media validation show the category “very feasible” with a percentage of 91.11%. The results of user trial conducted on five students showed the category “feasible” in the aspect of the media with a percentage of 81.6%, the category “feasible” in the material aspect with a percentage of 79%, and the category “very feasible” in the aspect media with a percentage of 82%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran Planned Happenstance Skills (PHS) pada Mahasiswa Program Studi Kependidikan di Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 347 mahasiswa S1 program studi kependidikan Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang telah menempuh PKM semester 117, terdiri dari angkatan 2018 dan 2019. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah incidental sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner hasil adaptasi instrumen Planned Happenstance Career Inventory yang dikembangkan oleh Kim et al. (2014) dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa program studi kependidikan di Universitas Negeri Jakarta memiliki skor rata-rata PHS yang lebih besar pada setiap dimensi dibandingkan dengan penelitian sebelumnya, yaitu 4,23 untuk rata-rata pada dimensi optimisme, 4,07 untuk fleksibilitas, 4,06 untuk ketekunan, 4,19 untuk rasa ingin tahu, dan 3,97 untuk pengambilan risiko. Dimensi optimisme memiliki skor rata-rata tertinggi dan dimensi pengambilan risiko memiliki skor rata-rata terendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa, mahasiswa cenderung dapat melihat peluang baru dari peristiwa tak terduga sebagai suatu kemungkinan yang dapat dicapai. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, pihak Universitas dapat mengembangkan PHS pada mahasiswa, khususnya pada dimensi pengambilan risiko dengan mengembangkan mata kuliah dasar kependidikan seperti Landasan Pendidikan, Teori Belajar dan Pembelajaran, dan Perkembangan Peserta Didik, maupun menyediakan berbagai program, seperti program magang, seminar/workshop, dan program kewirausahaan agar dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan mengambil risiko.    Kata Kunci: Planned Happenstance Skills, Mahasiswa Program Studi Kependidikan, Planned Happenstance Career Inventory

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between academic major satisfaction and students’ psychological well-being and distress. Data were collected from 429 Indonesian university students (17-24 years of age) using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using an academic major satisfaction scale, brief symptom inventory, and Ryff’s psychological well-being adapted to the Indonesian context. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and Mann Whitney U-test. The result showed that students with higher major satisfaction exhibited higher psychological well-being and lower psychological distress. This paper also discusses the importance of providing individual planning services by school counselors to help students find the most suitable major for them.

Abstract

Overseas students with various gender backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses face various challenges in cultural adaptation in higher education. Hence, it is not uncommon for overseas students to experience stress which affects their career decision self-efficacy. The aim of this study was to provide an overview of overseas students’ career decision self-efficacy, which is influenced by socioeconomic status and gender. Measurements were carried out using the career decision self-efficacy-short form (CDSE-SF) which has been adapted in Indonesian. Respondents in this study amounted to 154 overseas students at universities all across Indonesia. The research method used was comparative research with descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and non-parametric statistics (Spearman and Mann-Whitney U) analysis techniques. The results showed that the highest scores were sequentially in the domains of self-appraisal, goal selection, planning, occupational information, and problem-solving. In the correlation analysis and comparative test, it can be seen that there is no relationship between students’ socioeconomic status and career decision self-efficacy and there is no difference based on gender. The results of the research discussion indicated that family support, acculturation, and career-related training were important in increasing career decision self-efficacy.
