Abstract

The "Labuhan Kopi" coffee shop in Surabaya currently manages raw material inventory manually using logbooks and simple spreadsheets, leading to frequent recording errors, delays in report generation, and difficulties in consolidating real-time stock availability data. This study aims to design and develop a web-based inventory management information system that integrates the recording of stock inflows and outflows with report generation, while also implementing the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine optimal raw material order quantities. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, comprising stages for requirements analysis, system design (Utilizing Unified Modeling Language [UML] and Entity Relationship Diagrams [ERD]), implementation (using the Laravel framework and MySQL database), and testing (employing the Black Box Testing method). The results demonstrate that the system successfully automates the management of raw material data, supplier information, stock transactions, and inventory reports. Applying the EOQ method to the coffee bean case study yielded an optimal order quantity of 22 kg per purchase, alongside calculations for the Reorder Point (ROP) and Safety Stock (SS) to serve as triggers for reorder notifications. The developed system has proven capable of enhancing the effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy of inventory management compared to the previous manual recording process.
