Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the mediating role of work discipline in the effect of work commitment on the work productivity of subsidized LPG bases in Prabumulih City. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was employed. The population comprised all 97 official 3 kg LPG base managers, with a sample size of 79 respondents determined using Slovin's formula and simple random sampling. Primary data were collected via questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS software. The results indicate that work commitment has a positive and significant effect on work productivity, work discipline has a positive and significant effect on work productivity, and work commitment significantly affects work discipline. Furthermore, the indirect effect analysis proves that work discipline significantly mediates the relationship between work commitment and work productivity through partial mediation. The R2 value for work productivity of 0.911 indicates that 91.1% of the variance in LPG base productivity is explained by work commitment and work discipline. These findings confirm that high psychological commitment among operators must be internalized through strict operational discipline to optimize supply chain efficiency and the targeted distribution of subsidized energy
