The development of digital technology has encouraged BPJS Kesehatan to provide the Health History Screening feature in the Mobile JKN application as one of the promotive and preventive healthcare efforts. However, JKN participants’ knowledge regarding the completion of health screening remains suboptimal, making education necessary to improve patients’ understanding. This study aimed to determine the difference in JKN patients’ knowledge regarding the completion of health screening in the Mobile JKN application before and after receiving education through leaflet media at Marinir Cilandak Hospital. This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 100 outpatient JKN participants selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires administered before and after the educational intervention. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-test. The results showed that the mean knowledge score before the intervention was 56.05 ± 9.621, increasing to 88.90 ± 7.337 after the intervention, with a mean difference of 32.85. The percentage of correct responses increased in factual knowledge from 50.17% to 89.50%, conceptual knowledge from 52.86% to 84.43%, and procedural knowledge from 61.00% to 91.43%. The statistical test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). In conclusion, there was a significant difference in JKN patients’ knowledge before and after receiving education through leaflet media. It is recommended that the hospital utilize educational media as a supporting tool to improve patients’ understanding of completing health screening through the Mobile JKN application.
