Abstract

 Terrorism as a manifestation of radicalism seems to arise and sink. The segment of radicalism is the teenagers at the high school level. This because they are the transition from childhood to adulthood. The positive thinking mindset is seen with clarity of thought and brings the pandemic phenomenon as resilience to counteract radical thought patterns. The purpose of this study is to make the pandemic period a momentum for strengthening students' religious understanding as a counter to radicalism. This study is qualitative research with a content analysis approach to social media content. The results show that there are 5 (five) ways to strengthen religious understanding as an effort to deradicalize high school students, namely: (1) Fostering logical thinking patterns wrapped in religion (science spiritualism), (2) Presentation of neutral readings so that their direction of reasoning is organized, balanced between thoughts state and religion, (3) Cultivating balance and moderate attitudes, (4) Modelling attitudes and behaviours that are easy to imitate from teachers and education leaders, (5) optimizing the role of parents to assist students in distance learning patterns, learning from home, or online learning.

Abstract

The implementation of Presidential Decree No. 11 of 1997, which transformed IAIN branch faculties into independent STAINs, was a strategic government response to the inefficiency, ineffectiveness, and poor quality of Islamic higher education, previously hindered by lengthy bureaucracy and rampant corruption, collusion, and nepotism. Framed within policy implementation theory and human resource management, this study aimed to analyze the relationship between the implementation of the decree and lecturers’ work morale. A descriptive, qualitative approach with a multiple-case study strategy was employed across STAIN Pamekasan, Jember, and Malang, with all permanent lecturers as the population. The findings indicate that the implementation was relatively effective, as evidenced by organizational restructuring, program development, and increased institutional autonomy. Lecturers’ work morale was generally good, with 72.22% (Pamekasan), 58.62% (Jember), and 66.66% (Malang) falling into the good category. The study concludes that a positive relationship exists between the decree’s implementation and lecturers’ work morale and recommends focused attention on low-morale lecturers, systematic human resource development planning, and structured policy socialization. Implementasi Keputusan Presiden Nomor 11 Tahun 1997 tentang alih bentuk fakultas cabang IAIN menjadi STAIN merupakan respons strategis pemerintah terhadap lemahnya efisiensi, efektivitas, dan kualitas pendidikan tinggi agama Islam yang sebelumnya terhambat birokrasi panjang serta praktik korupsi, kolusi, dan nepotisme. Dalam kerangka teori implementasi kebijakan dan manajemen sumber daya manusia, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara implementasi Keppres tersebut dengan semangat kerja dosen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan strategi studi kasus ganda pada STAIN Pamekasan, Jember, dan Malang. Seluruh dosen tetap di ketiga institusi dijadikan populasi penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Keppres relatif efektif, tercermin dalam restrukturisasi organisasi, pengembangan program, dan peningkatan otonomi kelembagaan. Semangat kerja dosen secara umum berada dalam kategori baik, dengan rincian STAIN Pamekasan (72,22% baik), STAIN Jember (58,62% baik), dan STAIN Malang (66,66% baik). Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara implementasi Keppres dan semangat kerja dosen, serta merekomendasikan perhatian khusus terhadap dosen dengan semangat kerja rendah, perencanaan pengembangan sumber daya dosen yang sistematis, dan sosialisasi kebijakan yang terencana.

Abstract

The low quality and high prevalence of thesis completion issues among Islamic higher education students in Indonesia signal an urgent need to examine their research tendencies. This study investigates the research tendencies of undergraduate students at STAIN Jember across four key aspects: research focus, methodological approach, data analysis technique, and adherence to research timelines. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with documentation as the primary data collection method, supplemented by observation and interviews. A sample of 295 theses from the 1995/1996, 1996/1997, and 1997/1998 academic years was analyzed using percentage-based classification. The findings reveal a strong preference for formal educational institutions as research settings (55.59%), a dominant use of quantitative approaches (50.50%) over qualitative ones (25.42%), and a prevailing reliance on statistical analysis (74.58%), particularly Yule’s Q and Chi-square techniques, rather than logic-based descriptive methods. Furthermore, 57.28% of students completed their research on time, though delays remain significant. The study concludes that thesis supervision and the curriculum should be restructured to encourage methodological diversity, strengthen qualitative research competence, and enforce timeline discipline among students and advisors alike. Rendahnya kualitas dan tingginya prevalensi masalah penyelesaian skripsi di kalangan mahasiswa perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia menandakan perlunya kajian mendalam tentang kecenderungan penelitian mereka. Penelitian ini menyelidiki preferensi mahasiswa STAIN Jember dalam empat aspek: fokus penelitian, pendekatan metodologis, teknik analisis data, dan kepatuhan terhadap jadwal penelitian. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dengan dokumentasi sebagai teknik utama, serta observasi dan wawancara sebagai pendukung. Sebanyak 295 skripsi dari tahun akademik 1995/1996, 1996/1997, dan 1997/1998 dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Hasil menunjukkan kecenderungan kuat pada lembaga pendidikan formal sebagai fokus penelitian (55,59%), dominasi pendekatan kuantitatif (50,50%) dibanding kualitatif (25,42%), serta preferensi tinggi terhadap analisis statistik (74,58%), terutama teknik Yule’s Q dan Chi-kuadrat, ketimbang analisis deskriptif berbasis logika. Sebanyak 57,28% mahasiswa menyelesaikan penelitian tepat waktu, meskipun keterlambatan masih signifikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan restrukturisasi bimbingan dan kurikulum untuk mendorong keragaman metodologis, penguatan kompetensi penelitian kualitatif, serta penegakan disiplin waktu.

Abstract

The modernity of science and technology development and growth will surely affect women's movements and activities, which from a legal perspective can introduce new variations in considering topics related to women's issues. Emancipation demands access to certain life sectors previously viewed as "taboo," leading to more lenient relationships. This has raised new concerns, necessitating continuous and proportional analysis. Modernitas perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi pasti akan memengaruhi gerak dan aktivitas wanita, yang dalam perspektif hukum dapat menjadi variasi baru dalam pertimbangan topik terkait masalah wanita. Emansipasi menuntut sektor-sektor kehidupan tertentu yang dulunya dianggap "tabu" untuk dimasuki oleh wanita, yang tampaknya memiliki hubungan yang lebih longgar. Hal ini menimbulkan kekhawatiran baru sehingga perlu dianalisis secara terus-menerus dan proporsional.
