<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the results of students in learning to write narrative essays for class Vll students at SMPN Kota Baru. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. The research subjects consisted of 21 students and the objec of the research was the results of students tests in writing narrative essays in grade Vll students. The data collection technique used was a test. The data collection technique was obtained from the test used by students in determining the structure of narrative texts and 5 linguistic features of narrative texts in the provided serial image media. Individual tests, namely data collection technique, were obtained from the test technique used in the form of the results of identifying writeng narrative essays from the application ogf serial image media by each students in writing. The data analysis technique in this study was the results of students work, namely quantitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the results of this study indicate that the process of implementing the application of serial image media in learning to write narrative essays obtained satisfactory results based on the results of calculations obtained significantly known from the individual task scores of each students. Showing significantly that there are benefits of serial image media on students’ abilities in understanding narrative texts in learning to write narrative essays for grade Vll students of SMPN Kota Baru.]]>
