Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mathematical disposition and self-regulated learning of online lectures with the help of Google Classroom. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. This study's subjects were 34 students of the first semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program consisting of 11 male students and 23 female students determined by the saturated sampling method. From the research results, it can be concluded that students' mathematical disposition through learning assisted by Google Classroom has high criteria. The mathematical disposition of male and female students through learning assisted by Google Classroom has high criteria. Still, the level of mathematical disposition of male students is slightly higher than female students. Meanwhile, student self-regulated learning with the help of Google Classroom obtains very high criteria. For male and female students, both have very high learning independence criteria in carrying out learning with the help of Google Classroom. Keywords: Mathematical Disposition, Self-regulated learning, Google Classroom, Online Lectures, Gender

Abstract

Creativity in performing mathematics proof was assumed to be directed by the procedural fluency. This article examines the procedural fluency in proof based on the students’ creative thinking level of mathematics. Subjects were selected pusposively to join the test and interview as the main instruments. Of the 36 students who took the test, 5 students were selected appropriate at each level of creative thinking skills to be followed with interviews.. The data were analyzed following data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal as suggested by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014). The results showed that very creative, creative, and quite creative students could demonstrate procedural fluency because they could use mathematical induction proof procedures correctly and modify the procedure in the correct rules although less creative students lacked completeness in performing mathematical induction proof procedures. Students of the lower creativity groups had less procedural fluency because they were unlikely to understand the use of mathematical induction proof procedures and found difficulties to apply mathematical induction proof procedures properly or even no attempt was made to modify procedures to solve problems.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe acedemic year of 2018/2019 Landak Regency. This type of research was quantitative with ex post facto approach. The population of all eighth grade students at SMP N 1 Kuala Behe. The number of sample in this study was 64 students who were selected using saturated sampling technique. The data analysis technique used simple linear regressionwith prerequisite test namely normality of Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, heteroscedasticity of Glejser method, linearity using test for linearity, multicolonity using Variance Inflation Factor (VIF), and autocorrelation of Durbin-Watson method. The result shows that there is an effect of learning motivation on mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe academic year 2018/2019 Landak Regency. The result of R square = 0,915 x 100% = 19,5% which indicates that the mathematics learning achievement of eighth grade students of SMP N 1 Kuala Behe can be explained by learning motivation of 19,5%.

Abstract

This study used multiple linear regression data analysis techniques to determine the effect of learning burnout and academic procrastination of students, both individually and together, on mathematical problem-solving abilities. The study was conducted on 88 students of class X of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya, who were selected by simple random sampling. Data collection used a test for problem-solving abilities and a questionnaire for each learning burnout and academic procrastination. Before conducting multiple linear regression, prerequisite tests were carried out, namely: normality test, heteroscedasticity test, linearity test, autocorrelation test, and multicollinearity test. After meeting the prerequisite tests, the analysis was carried out and the results obtained were that there was an effect of learning burnout on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, there was an effect of academic procrastination on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, and there was an effect of learning burnout and academic procrastination together on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class X students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mathematical communication ability in terms of students self- confidence in solving problems related to statistical material. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects in this study were 25 students, taken 3 students with each student with high, medium, and low self-confidence. The data collection technique used 3 essay test questions on statistical material, a self-confidence questionnaire, and interviews. The data obtained were then analyzed based on indicators of mathematical communication ability, namely, presenting mathematical symbols, making mathematical models, and writing. The results of the study showed that students with high self-confidence had high mathematical communication skills and were able to meet all indicators of mathematical communication ability. Students with medium and low self-confidence had medium mathematical communication skills and met two indicators of mathematical communication ability. Students with medium and low self-confidence were only able to meet two indicators, namely presenting mathematical symbols and writing. Therefore, teachers are expected to be able to improve students' mathematical communication skills by increasing joint discussion activities, presentations, question and answer sessions between teachers and students and students with students, as well as providing students with lots of practice questions so that students' self-confidence also increases.

Abstract

In the trigonometry course, the learning achievement achieved by students is not optimal because many students get scores below 70. Researchers find out the causes of these problems, one of which is that the teacher still uses the lecture method and assignments in the learning process. This causes students to only listen to the material without going through the process of trying and finding themselves. The researcher gave the treatment of the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model so that the purpose of this study was to determine the difference in learning achievement of Mathematics Education Study Program students at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who were treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and conventional learning model. The population of this study was all 1st semester students of the 2024/2025 academic year of the mathematics education study program at Palangka Raya University. Before conducting the analysis using the t-test of two independent samples, the prerequisite test was carried out: normality test with Kolmogorov-Smirnov and homogeneity test with Levene. The results of this study are that there are differences in the learning achievement of students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at Palangka Raya University as prospective teachers who are treated with the Project-Based Learning learning model and the conventional learning model. Furthermore, students in the experimental class using the Project-Based Learning learning model obtained an average achievement of 81.379, while the control class using the conventional learning model obtained an average achievement of 72.008.
