Abstract

Emergency diesel generator is a very important system in every industry including the airport industry because this system supports the electricity of important equipment when a blackout occurs. in the emergency diesel generator system, there is a battery as a starter for the diesel engine. if the battery capacity decreases, the diesel generator will not be able to start the engine, therefore in the emergency diesel generator system, regular battery maintenance is needed to maintain system reliability. in this journal, preventive maintenance on the battery will be explained, especially on the emergency diesel generator system battery. one indicator of decreased capacity in the battery is an increase in its internal resistance value. in preventive battery maintenance, analyzing the increase in internal resistance can be a reference for replacing a new battery.

Abstract

The success of precision fishing methods using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) heavily relies on the sensor's accuracy in detecting thermal anomalies on the water surface. The dynamic characteristics of coastal airspace present mechanical challenges in the form of turbulent flow, which affects vehicle stability and the reading accuracy of the drone's thermal radiation sensors. This study analyses the correlation between the thermal radiation intensity captured by a micro-UAV camera (DJI Mavic 4 Pro Thermal) and actual Sea Surface Temperature (SST) patterns, as well as evaluates the influence of coastal aerodynamics. Field experiments were conducted in the coastal waters of Sumur Beach, Pandeglang, Banten, totaling 50 sorties from February 1, 2026, to May 1, 2026. Through thermodynamics and fluid mechanics approaches, this research models atmospheric transmission corrections and analyzes image distortion caused by variations in the Reynolds Number ($Re$). The results indicate that coastal wind speeds exceeding 10 m/s increase Re into the turbulent regime, which degrades the spatial quality of thermal imagery due to mechanical vibrations. With the application of radiation corrections, the accuracy of schooling fish detection using UAVs reached 94%, far outperforming conventional satellite mapping resolutions that are often biased by low-resolution cloud cover. This research concludes by formulating the optimal operational envelope for micro-UAVs in supporting precision fishing.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze technical performance and propose several solutions related to feasibility and operational cost efficiency. The Embraer E190-E2 has garnered attention as a modern regional aviation solution. This study aims to analyze the technical performance, operational feasibility, and cost efficiency (CASK) of the Embraer E190-E2, specifically for short flight routes in the Indonesian archipelago. Furthermore, this review evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of the aircraft if operated for strategic military needs or as VIP/state official transport. Primary data were extracted from technical flight documents, namely the Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM), manufacturer specifications, and the Flight Controls module. Through aerodynamic analysis, Fly-by-Wire (FBW) integration, and take-off modeling at Sea Level (SL) conditions, the results show that the E190-E2 is highly efficient for routes under 500 nautical miles (nm) as it only requires a runway length of 1,150 meters. From the military and VIP perspectives, the hybrid control system design provides a high level of reliability and comfort, although the lack of a rear loading ramp limits its function as a heavy military cargo transport aircraft

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of pilot confidence in the Autoland system when operating at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport. The development of flight automation technology is designed to enhance aviation safety and reduce pilot workload, particularly during the critical landing phase. The Boeing 737 Classic (B737 CL) aircraft is equipped with an Autoland system (Autopilot Flight Director System) that enables automatic landings under low-visibility conditions. This study aims to analyze the level of pilot trust toward the Autoland system when operating at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (UPG/WAAA), Makassar, which is renowned for its dynamic weather characteristics and strong crosswinds. This study employs a descriptive quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to 50 active B737 CL pilot respondents. Based on the data analysis using Human Factors principles, the pilot trust level falls into the "High" category with an aggregate mean score of 4.12 out of 5.00. However, this trust is highly conditional and significantly influenced by situational awareness and the crosswind operational limitations of the B737 CL. Pilots consistently maintain high vigilance (avoiding complacency) because the B737 CL system represents legacy technology requiring more stringent monitoring compared to modern Fly-by-Wire aircraft.
