Abstract

This PkM aims to socialize digital literacy as an effort to provide an understanding of the digital world that is directly related to learning used in online learning. Since the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, almost all lines of life have changed. Slowly but surely, people must begin to get used to this situation, including the education. In online learning, teachers face various challenges that come from both teachers and students. The most perceived challenge by teachers is to motivate students in learning. This PkM was conducted by 5 lecturers and involved 5 students who were running a field practice program at SMP PGRI 363 Pondok Petir. This activity lasts for 3 days on November 9-11, 2021. This activity begins with observing the needs of teachers in terms of teaching and learning activities in the classroom. After making observations, it was found that teachers and students need a variety of activities that can reduce boredom when learning online. The activity was continued by socializing material about the importance of digital literacy to access information, then the next day the teacher was given the opportunity to develop various activities that involve student activities in digital learning.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how the functions of educational management are implemented at PKBM Langgeng Ikhlas Depok. The research employs a qualitative approach. Research data were collected through observation and interviews. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman analysis model, encompassing data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that PKBM Langgeng Ikhlas Depok has effectively executed educational management functions, which include: (1) structured planning, designing educational programs based on clear analyses of needs and objectives; (2) effective organization within PKBM, evidenced by a well-coordinated organizational structure that facilitates task distribution and responsibilities; (3) implementation that bridges plans with tangible actions; (4) meticulous supervision that monitors plan execution and regularly assesses performance. The research also uncovers challenges faced in management, particularly relating to facilities and infrastructure, as well as the community's learning enthusiasm. These research outcomes are anticipated to serve as a reference for non-formal educational institutions facing similar conditions, seeking to enhance the quality of educational services.Keywords: PKBM; educational management; non-formal education

Abstract

This PkM aims to provide training to teachers at SMPN 20 Dumai Dumai. SMPN 20 Dumai is an example of formal education. The school, which is located on Jalan Raya Tiangjong, has problems related to the learning process, namely the use of appropriate media according to the material and needs of students. In addition, the challenge that teachers feel the most is motivating students in learning. Video media is believed to be able to increase student motivation in learning. This is the background for this PkM activity, PkM will be conducted by 3 lecturers and involve 3 students. This activity will last for 3 days on March 20-22 2023. This activity will begin by observing the teacher's needs in providing learning materials. After making observations it was found that most of the teachers used simple activities in providing learning materials. The activity continued with conducting training on how to apply Tutorial-based learning media to learning at SMPN 20 Dumai. Keywords: Formal education, SMPN 20 Dumai, Tutorial-based learning media

Abstract

 ABTRAKPkM ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan bagi guru mata Pelajaran di SMPN 20 Dumai mengenai pengembangan modul ajar pada kurikulum merdeka. Dumai Modul ajar kurikulum merdeka merupakan pengganti dari RPP yang berformat dan bersifat variatif yang meliputi materi/ konten pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran, interpretasi, dan teknik mengevaluasi yang disusun secara sistematis dan memukau untuk mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang diharapkan. PkM dilakukan oleh 3 orang dosen dan melibatkan 3 orang mahasiswa. Kegiatan ini selama 3 hari pada tanggal 9-11 Oktober 2023. Kegiatan ini dimulai dengan melakukan observasi mengenai kebutuhan guru dalam pengembangan modul ajar. Setelah melakukan observasi ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar guru belum paham muatan isi pada kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan melakukan pelatihan bagaimana mengembangkan modul ajar pada kurikulum merdeka di SMPN 20 Dumai.Kata kunci: Pendidikan formal, Modul ajar, Kurikulum merdeka

Abstract

Effective learning can be achieved if the teacher is able to analyze the learning problem and solve it. One of the solutions to this problem is through research based on the creation of educational products. Based on the situation analysis, it was found that the teachers at Nurul Hidayah Foundation had not been maximized in conducting research that produced educational products as solutions to learning problems. This difficulty is felt because teachers still do not understand how to conduct research that produces educational products. This situation has an impact on the ineffectiveness of learning undertaken. Based on that, community service is carried out with the aim of providing socialization and mentoring to teachers in developing educational scientific products with elementary and junior high school teachers in the Nurul Hidayah Foundation. The activity was carried out using lecture, discussion and workshop methods. The results obtained are the teacher is able to understand and implement how to register problems, identify problems, determine problems, and determine the topic of research based on educational products.

Abstract

Literasi kuantitatif merupakan kemampuan bernalar dalam mengelola informasi berbentuk angka dan statistik dalam berbagai hal. Kemampuan tersebut sangat dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan terlebih di era digital 4.0 ini. Namun demikian, matematika yang merupakan wadah dari literasi kuantitatif justru realitanya banyak menghadapi masalah. Berdasarkan analisis situasi di SD Negeri Bogosari 1 dapat diketahui bahwa siswa hanya menguasai soal-soal bersifat rutin dan sederhana. Mereka belum mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal bertipe High Order Thinking skills (HOTS) seperti soal yang penyelesaiannya membutuhkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Atas dasar itu dilakukanlah Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dengan tujuan memberikan pengetahuan cara penyelesaian butir soal berjenis HOTS seperti butir soal literasi kuantitatif. Selanjutnya, PKM ini dilaksanakan pada 11 – 13 Maret 2020 dengan subyek siswa kelas V di SD Negeri Bogosari 1. Adapun metode pelaksanaan PKM ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi yang terkemas melalui pendekatan Polya. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan butir soal literasi kuantitatif meningkat, tercermin dengan adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi kuantitatif dari 54,13 menjadi 73,87 atau naik sebesar 19,73.
