Abstract

Kelompok Tani Ternak Haur Kuning berada di desa Ciawigajah Kabupaten Cirebon.  Kelompok ini tata laksana pemeliharaannya secara intensif dengan skala usaha bervariasi dan tradisional. Tujuan penelitian ini (1) untuk mengetahui aspek sosial ekonomi usaha ternak domba di Kabupaten Cirebon. (2) untuk mengetahui faktor harga jual, jumlah ternak yang dijual dan biaya pakan yang mempengaruhi besarnya pendapatan. Metode penentuan lokasi dengan purposive sampling. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara dengan kelompok, data sekunder berasal dari Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Cirebon dan literatur (jurnal penelitian, buku, dan artikel ilmiah). Data yang terkumpul, dianalisis mengunakan tabulasi kemudian dihitung menggunakan rumus pendapatan, analisis R/C ratio dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan aspek sosial : (1) responden berpendapat bahwa memelihara ternak domba sebagai tabungan dan pengisi waktu luang peternak selama menunggu masa panen tiba, (2) mayoritas responden pekerja utama sebagai petani sehingga dapat memanfaatkan sisa hasil pertanian untuk ketersediaan pakan ternak. Dari aspek ekonomi ini pendapatan terendah sebesar Rp 393.500 dan tertinggi Rp 10.418.500, dan analisis R/C ratio terendah 1,20 dan tertinggi 6,26. (3) Persamaan analisis regresi Y = -5885724.523+ 2.975590988 X1 + 1533743.934 X2 – 1.050714511 X3; R2  = 0.9982, Fhitung(1349.09691405135) dengan Significance F (4.97589571307792E-10) artinya harga jual ternak, jumlah ternak yang dijual dan biaya pakan akan mempengaruhi terhadap besarnya pendapatan usaha ternak domba.Kelompok Tani Ternak Haur Kuning berada di desa Ciawigajah Kabupaten Cirebon.  Kelompok ini tata laksana pemeliharaannya secara intensif dengan skala usaha bervariasi dan tradisional. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what alternative strategies are needed in the development of sheep business that are suitable to be applied in Cirebon Regency, which are expected to have implications for increasing sheep productivity and welfare of farmers. The location of the study was carried out in Cirebon Regency, from March to August 2018. The research method was a survey method to collect primary data from respondents and secondary data. The study sample was determined randomly as many as 43 farmers from three PUSKESWAN regions in Cirebon Regency. Data analysis uses internal environment analysis, external environment analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results of the SWOT matrix analysis are in quadrant II where this stage can grow and be fostered. This business can experience good growth if 1) strengthen the function and role of the group, 2) sheep breeders get continuous guidance and guidance both about the technical, introduction of appropriate technology and marketing from Government Agencies, especially the Agriculture and Livestock Services, Universities and private parties.

Abstract

Objective: The research is as follows: (1) The role of the farmer group in its function as a place of learning, a place of production, and a place for cooperation and member business, (2) the empowerment of beef cattle farmers, and (3) the relationship between the role of the group and the empowerment of beef cattle farmers in Cirebon Regency.Methods: I conducted this research from July to August 2021. The research method was survey and field observation—data analysis using SPSS 26 Spearman rank correlation test. The number of respondents using the Snowball sampling formula is 60 respondents from 5 livestock farmer groups in Cirebon Regency.Results: The empowerment of farmers in this study measures two aspects: farmers' ability to maintain and have high-value entrepreneurship. The correlation coefficient of the relationship between the part of the group and the empowerment of beef cattle farmers is 0.674. In conclusion, the relationship is quite strong between the two variables. The role of the group is not optimal either as a place of learning, a place of business, or a place to work together, which requires the involvement of the Cirebon Regency agriculture office, educational institutions, and private institutions to be involved in developing the role of groups in Cirebon Regency.Conclusions: The empowerment of farmers in this study measures aspects, namely, 1) the role of the group is not optimal, while 2) the ability of farmers to maintain entrepreneurship is of high value. The correlation coefficient of the relationship between the role of the group and the empowerment of beef cattle farmers is 0.674. It indicated that the relationship is quite strong between the two variables.

Abstract

The physiological condition of broiler chickens during the transportation process has changed, presumably due to changes in environmental conditions. Changes in the environment, such as transport distance, density in the basket, vehicle speed and vibration, and heat stress during the transportation process, are thought to cause stress in chickens, disrupting the body's homeostatic and metabolic processes. The condition of stressed chickens harms the physiology of livestock, especially the biochemical components. It can result in decreased body weight, increased heart rate, respiration, and increased temperature, to the chickens' hematological status, which can be detrimental to breeders' income. Giving commercial vitamins containing vitamins A, D, E, K, B, and C, minerals, and amino acids is an alternative solution that can minimize stress levels in broiler chickens. This study aims to analyze the physiological condition of broiler chickens given vitamins and without vitamins with different mileage during transportation. The research method used was an experimental method using a randomized block design. This study used a sample of 48 broiler chickens with a weight range of 1.4 to 1.9 kg, treated with vitamins and without vitamins at a distance of 0 km (control), 30, 60, and 90 km. The parameters measured were heart rate, respiratory frequency, temperature, and body weight. Hematological tests measured were erythrocytes, hematocrit, hemoglobin, platelets, and leukocytes. The data were analyzed statistically. This research concludes that giving vitamins can stabilize the physiological condition of broiler chickens while being transported at a certain distance of 0 km (control), 30, 60, and 90 km. The treatment of giving vitamins at a distance of 90 km was no different from the control treatment. Evidenced by measurements of body weight with a value of 1.47 kg, heart rate of 262 times per minute, a stable respiratory rate at a value of 31 times per minute, and rectal temperature of 41 °C and hematological conditions of chicken blood such as erythrocytes of 2.60 c 106 mL, hematology 13.5 g/dL, hematocrit 33%, platelets 145 ´ 103 mL, and leukocytes 9 ´ 103 mL, are all in the normal range of broiler physiological conditions. Furthermore, it proves that giving vitamins can maintain the condition of the chicken's body from environmental temperature changes, transportation distance, transportation speed, and the density of transport baskets during transportation.

Abstract

Raising sheep is a livelihood known since the time of the Prophet Adam. Sheep raising was a childhood and adolescent profession of prophets before being appointed prophets and Rosul. Sheep farming developed from grazing until it was domesticated. Sheep farming activities include the selection of suitable breeds, the construction of clean pens, nutritious feeding following the nutritional needs of the sheep raised, and health management to keep sheep healthy. Sheep health management has been socialized at CV Saudagar Group, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province. The socialization conveyed that sheep health management includes maintaining health through preventive and curative actions. Preventive measures include feeding according to needs, giving vitamins, building clean cages, and environmental management. Curative action in the form of treatment if the sheep is already sick with chemical and herbal medicines.

Abstract

Students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon must take part in Student Work Lectures (KKM) as a form of their service to the community. One of the tasks of KKM group 23 in Tegalwangi village is to create a podcast that incorporates the Ngobras (Informal conversation) program about the tourist village. Chatting, talking, or talking casually is the definition of "ngobras". The theme of Ngobras was "A thriving tourist village in the era of industrial revolution 4.0", and the resource person was Mr. H. Nana Mulyana, head of the Cirebon Regency Disbudparpora. The purpose of the KKM "Ngobras" activity is to gather information about what needs to be prepared, considered, and developed by Tegalwangi village as a tourism village.  The research location is Tegalwangi Village, Weru Subdistrict, Cirebon Regency, and descriptive methods are used. The results of this Ngobras KKM activity provide some input for Tegal Wangi Village to develop a tourist village, hoping that there will be follow-up by the village government.

Abstract

Socialization of the Slaughter of Sacrificial Animals following Islamic law and for the sake of public health is a form of community service. One of the purposes of this activity is to provide briefings on how to choose good sacrificial animals and how to slaughter and handle sacrificial meat following sharia. The target of this PPM activity is the mosque or musholla ta'mir in Cirebon, high school students in charge of spirituality, the organizing committee, and students. This community service activity took place on June 12, 2024, from 08.00 to 12.00 with counseling presented and assisted by audiovisuals. The socialization activity of slaughtering sacrificial animals received enthusiasm from the participants with a discussion session with three speakers. The message from the participants is that this activity can be carried out 30 days before the Eid al-Adha celebration so that they can choose sacrificial animals according to Islamic law.

Abstract

Efforts to increase the production of free-range chickens can be carried out through several strategies, including Early Separation of Chicks and Mothers, separation of chicks from their mothers from an early age to reduce the period when chickens stop laying eggs because they take care of their offspring for approximately 105 days. Early separation can extend the egg-laying period to more than 15 days. Use of Intensive Maintenance Patterns: Replace extensive maintenance patterns with more efficient intensive patterns. The intensive pattern involves the use of closed cages and more controlled feeding, which can improve the quality and quantity of nutrients in the feed as well as the number of chickens raised, the crossing of Kampung Roosters with Laying Breed Females, The crossing between Kampung Roosters and laying breed females can increase the production of kampung chickens. Estimating the physical appearance of a chicken's body, such as feather color, shank length, chest width, body length, and beard shape, can be used to estimate the production of free-range chickens. Genetic Selection is conducting genetic selection to select livestock that have superior genetic quality. This is done by selecting broodstock based on egg production, number, and weight. This selection process requires individual production records and daily mixing of mothers and males to improve egg fertility and hatchability. Use of Modern Technology, using technologies such as brooding (giving a warming lamp) to create conditions similar to those produced by hens. This helps to nurture the chicks when they are newly hatched. By implementing this strategy, the production of free-range chickens can be increased to meet high market demand.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui berapa pendapatan peternak sapi potong yang ada di Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan. Materi yang menjadi obyek pengamatan dalam kegiatan Praktik Kerka Lapangan adalah peternak sapi yang menjadi anggota Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan. Jumlah peternak kelompok sapi padusan berjumlah 16 orang. Pengumpulan Data dilakukan dengan Observasi dan wawancara. Observasi yaitu melakukan pengamatan langsung terhadap usaha peternakan sapi potong yang dilakukan oleh anggota Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan. Sedagkan wawancara yaitu pengambilan data dengan memberikan pertanyaan kepada peternak serta berkomunkasi langsung untuk memperoleh data-data yang diperlukan. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan, bahwa keuntungan Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan adalah Rp. 446,429,000. Keuntungan diperoleh dari hasil pengurangan anatara Penerimaan (Penjualan Sapi) dengan total biaya produksi (Biaya Tetap dan Biaya Variabel) selama periode pemeliharaan. Perbedaan penerimaan yang diperoleh oleh masing- masing peternak berbeda-beda disebabkan karena perbedaan jenis sapi, jumlah ternak sapi potong yang di miliki dan jenis pakan yang digunakan. Belum adanya pengelolan limbah di Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyebabkan belum maksimalnya pendapatan Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan. Oleh karena itu Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan harus melakukan pengelolaan limbah peternakan antara lain dengan pengolahan pupuk padat (kompos), pupuk cair (urine) dan biogas, dengan adanya pengolahan tersebut maka pencemaran lingkungan dapat diatasi dan dapat menghasilkan penerimaan dari penjualan pupuk organik tersebut. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui managemen pakan di KTT Padusan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 November sampai dengan 10 Desember 2020 di Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi (KTTS) Padusan. Penetuan lokasi dilakukandengan secara Purpossive Sampling. Alasan pemilihan tempat lokasi penelitian karena Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusanadalah kelompok tani ternak yang dalam pengawasan langsung oleh Dinas Pertanian Kabupaten Cirebon dan telah memiliki prestasi sebagai juara Nasional dalam lomba kelompok tani ternak berbasis Agribisnis dibidang budidaya dan penggemukanternak sapi potong, dengan faktor daerah yang dekat dan mudah dalam penyediaan sumber pakan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dengan alat bantu kuesioner. Analisis data digunakan secara deskripsi. Hasil penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa manajemen pakan ternak sapi potong di Kelompok Tani Ternak Sapi Padusan belum dilakukan secara intensif. Sebagian besar pemberian pakan saat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup pokok atau maintenance selama masa pemeliharaan. Terdapat beberapa kendala seperti belum menggunakannya teknologi pakan dan belum adanya standar pemberian pakan. Kesimpulan bahwa KTT Padusan ini memiliki managemen pakan yang baik, sudah memperhatikan penggunaan pakan hijauan dan pakan konsentrat. Kata Kunci: Managemen Pakan, KTT, Sapi Potong.
