Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya penalaran dan literasi matematis yang menekankan pada kemampuan siswa untuk dapat menggunakan nalarnya dan kemampuan matematisnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sehingga tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pendekatan scientific problem posing dan pendekatan scientific terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan literasi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kendari yang terdiri dari 10 kelas paralel. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan teknik purposive random class. Penentuan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dilakukan secara random dan diperoleh siswa kelas VIII-C yang terdiri dari 36 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII-A  yang terdiri dari 36 orang sebagai kelas kontrol.Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan penalaran dan literasi matematis serta lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis diperoleh informasi bahwa  (1) Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan scientific problem posing lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan scientific; (2) Kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan scientific problem posing lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan scientific, dan (3) Pendekatan scientific problem posing lebih efektif daripada pendekatan scientific terhadap kemampuan penalaran dan literasi matematis.Kata kunci: penalaran matematis, literasi matematis, scientifik problem posing, efektif. Abstract: This research is based on the low level of mathematical reasoning and literacy which emphasizes the ability of students to be able to use their reasoning and mathematical abilities in everyday life. So the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the scientific approach to problem posing and the scientific approach to students' mathematical reasoning and literacy abilities. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari of 10 parallel classes. The sampling technique in the study used a purposive random class technique. The determination of the experimental and control classes was done randomly and was obtained by students of class VIII-C consisting of 36 people as the experimental class and students of class VIII-A consisting of 36 people as a control class. The design of this study was posttest only control design. The research instruments included tests of mathematical reasoning and literacy abilities and observation sheets. Based on the analysis results obtained information that (1) Mathematical reasoning abilities of students who get learning using the scientific approach to problem posing is better than students who get learning using the scientific approach; (2) Mathematical literacy skills of students who have learned using the scientific approach to problem posing are better than students who have learned using the scientific approach, and (3) The problem posing scientific approach is more effective than the scientific approach to mathematical reasoning and literacy skills. Keywords: mathematical reasoning, mathematical literacy, scientific problem posing, effective.

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil penelitian pendahuluan menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa di SMP, khususnya pada siswa yang menjadi subyek penelitian ini masih rendah sehingga perlu dilakukan kajian dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis problem solving. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis problem solving dan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dalam bentuk post test only control design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Kendari tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Data tentang kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika diperoleh dengan menggunakan essay test,sedangkan data gaya belajar diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket. Analisis data menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial pada α = 0,05 (uji-t dan uji-F). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh rerata kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran berbasis problem solving 81,19 dan yang diajar dengan pembelajaran langsung 68,03. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pembelajaran berbasis problem solving menghasilkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan pembelajaran langsung, baik secara keseluruhan maupun ditinjau dari masing-masing gaya belajar siswa, (2) Perbedaan gaya belajar siswa tidak memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika; (3) Tidak terdapat pengaruh interaksi yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematika.Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis problem solving, pembelajaran langsung, kemampuan berpikir kreatif.            Abstract: Result of previous studies show that junior high school student’s abilities of mathematical creative thinking, particularly those who became the subjects of this study are still low, so that it is necessary to conduct an analysis by applying a model of problem-solving-based learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of problem-solving-based learning and learning style on abilities to perform mathematical creative thinking. The type of this study was an experimental research with post-test only control design. Population of this study was class VII students of SMPN 9 Kendari who enrolled in the academic year of 2015/2016. Data aboutstudent’s abilities of mathematical creative thinking were obtained from essay test, whereas data about learning style were collected using a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics at α = 0.05 (t-test and F-test). Based on data analysis, it was found that the average score of abilities of mathematical creative thinking performed by students who were taught with problem-solving-based learning was 81.19, and those taught with direct learning was 68.03. Result of hypothesis testing were: (1)problem-solving-based learning resulted in higher abilities of mathematical creative thinking than did direct learning; (2) differences in students’ learning style have no significant difference in mathematical creative thinking ability; (3) there is no significant effect of the interaction between learning model and learning style on mathematical creative thinking ability.                                                                                                                                              Keywords: problem-solving-based learning, direct learning,creative thinking ability.
