Abstract

Abstract : This research is class room action research which is aimed to improve biology studying achievement by implementing guided Discopery Learning model in class X3 SMAN 1 Batu Hampar in Academic Year 2015/2016. This research was conducted in Maret-April The subject of this research was student of class X3 of SMA 1 Batu Hampar. The number of students was 31 students (15 boys and 16 girls). The Parameter was students passing individually,student activities and teachers activities. Students comprehension ability in cycle 1 was 77.3 % (pass) increased became 88.05 (good). The students passing studying in cycle 1 was 76.90 (pass) increased in cycle 2 became 80.90 (good). Acverage of student activities in cycle I was 83.73 % (pass) incresed in clycle 2 became 95.7% (very good). Average of teachers activities in cycle 1 was 75 % (pass) increased in cycle 2 became100% (very good). From the result of this research it can be concluded that the implementation of guided Discopery Learning model can improve students biology studying achievements in class X3 SMA 1 Batu Hampar in Academic Year 2015/2016.Keywords: Discopery Learning , Biology studying achiement

Abstract

Abstract: the purpose of this research is to know the profile of the ability of high school students in resolving the question of Competence of the laboratory (UKL) on the activities of the Fairgrounds in biology (PRB) 2016. This research was carried out on the campus of Biology education FKIP University of Riau and junior school in Soweto who follow Fair Biology (PRB) in January to March 2017. The sample in this research are all participants Competence laboratory (UKL), which amounted to 79 people. Techniques in determination of the sample are the total sampling. Data collection instruments used in the form of a question and answer sheet student participants UKL. Parameters measured is the ability based on cognitive and psychomotor domains of students. The results showed the ability of high school students in resolving the question of Competence of the laboratory based on the cognitive domain is on the criteria is not good with average 13.8% and 10.5% in the psychomotor domain. The conclusions of the study results is a profile of the ability of high school students in resolving the question of Competence of the laboratory (UKL) on the activities of the Fairgrounds in biology (PRB) 2016 is less good.Keywords: Profile, The ability of students, Test the competence of laboratories, PRB

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to describe performance of the of Junior High School science MGMP’s members in Pekanbaru on profession development. This study held on November 2016 until April 2017. The sample of this study was 50 person science MGMP’s members of Junior High School in Pekanbaru that selected by their activeness in following the MGMP’s activities. This study conducted with closed-ended and open–ended questionnaire. The closed-ended questionnaire consist of 30 items and divided into 4 indicator. The indicator are motivation, creativities, self efficacy and attitude, and 5 open-ended questionnaire as supporting data. The whole item questionnaire enclosed declared valid and reliable. Closed questionnaire of teachers performance was tested through Pearson correlation test, where all items declared valid. Reliability test through Cronbach's alpha test, was obtained 0.896 and showed the good criteria. Validity and reliability test were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Studies) version 18.00 for Windows. Data were analyzed descriptively. The result, the performance of science MGMP’s members Senior High School in Pekanbaru in profession development showed good criteria with 4,07 in average, which details as follows: Motivation showed good criteria with 4,02 in average, creativity showed good criterion with 3,90 in average, self efficacy showed good criterion with 4,09 in average, and attitude showed very good criterion 4,29 in average. Finally, it is known that the performance of Junior High School science MGMP’s members in Pekanbaru in profession development is being good on category.Key words: Teacher’s Performance, MGMP’s science, teacher profession.

Abstract

Abstract : This research has been to know understanding student of biology education on the curriculum 2013 faculty of teacher training and education university of Riau. This typenof research is a descriptive study. The sample was students of biology education faculty of teacher training and education university of Riau, sixth semester written 98 peoples. The understanding indikators of competency standards, content standards, process standards and assesment standards. Data collection techniques using a written test 60 question that carried out by collecting the sixth semester students in a room then researchers give time for 90 minutes to fill in the comprehension test. After completing the test comprehension, directly handed over to investigators. This data is used as research data for analysis and interpretation done. From the results obtained can be seen in the percentage of students understanding of competency standards obtained 65,8% with sufficient criteria. A standard indicator of the content of 68,9% was obtained with sufficient criteria. The standard indicators obtained 70,0% with good criteria and indicators of appraisal standards was obtained 73,4% with good criteria. It can be concluded that the understanding gained 69,5% with sufficient criteria.Keyword : Understanding, Student of Biology Education, Curriculum 2013

Abstract

Abstract :This research is class room action research which is aimed to IPA studying achievement by implementing cooperative learning of Student Teams Achievement Division(STAD)in class VII2 SMP N 6 Tanah Putih in Academic Year 2015/2016.This research was conducted in Maret-April 2016. The subject of this research was student of class VII2ofSMP N 6 Tanah Putih. The number of students was24 students (15boys and 9 girls). The Parameter was students studying achievement consisted of comprehension ability, students passing individually, studens activitiesand teachers activities.The averageof students comprehension ability in cycle 1 was 75.79% (moderate) increased became 78.54% (moderate). The students passing studying in cycle 1 was 66.67% (pass) increased in cycle 2 became 79.17% (pass). The average of award in cycle 1 was the fifth group is awarded as a super group then it improved in cycle 2 became 2 groups received an award as a super group and 3 groups received an award as great group.Average of studens activities in cycle 1 was 87.62% (verygood) increased in cycle 2 became 94.81% (very good).Average of teachers activities in cycle 1 and 2 was 100% (very good).From the result of this research it can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning the Student Teams Achievement Division(STAD) can improve students IPA studying achievements in class VII2 SMP N 6 Tanah Putih in Academic Year 2015/2016.Keywords: IPA studying achiement, cooperative learning of student teams achievement division (STAD)

Abstract

Abstract:Research of development has been done which is aim to develop student work sheets based on scientific approach for subjects digestion system and respiratory system on xi grade in senior high school. This research was did in study program of biology and 5 senior high school Pekanbaru on july until august 2015. Subjects of research were basic competencies 3.7 and 3.8 on digestion system and respiratory systemsubjects. This research was started by analyzing the curriculum, syllabus, and work sheets that arranged by Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). And then making the new design of the work sheets according to scientific approach they are 3 lecturers and 2 teachers. Validation aspects that was assessed consist of 3 aspects, which are planning, pedagogic, and the contents. After the validation, the work sheets were fixed according to the inputs and comments from validators and the work sheets part ii were produced. After that the work sheets were given limited trial with spreading the studentsquestionnaire responses in 5 senior high school to 17 students on xi grade science class. And next the work sheets were re-revision according to the inputs and comments from the limited trial so that produced the final result of the work sheets. The average of validation results that has been continued develop on digestion system subject are 3.26, 5.50, 3.40. while to respiratory system subject are 3.35, 3.31, and 3.45. student responses to the work sheets aspects were 85 with very good category to non-experimental work sheets and 80 with good category to experimental work sheets. the research result showed that development of student work sheets based on scientific approach for digestion system and respiratory systemsubjects has successfully developed using develop model addie with very valid and very good category.Keywords: development, student work sheets, scientific approach, digestion system, respiratory system.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to determine the profile of the 21st century skills student of Techniques and Laboratory management. This research is a descriptive, with a total population was all the students who took the course techniques and Laboratory management academic year 2014/2015. The research sample was determined by total sampling technique based on qualitative and quantitative data, sources of data derived from primary data. Primary data obtained from questionnaires collected, with 88 respondents. The parameters used are the 5 elements of the 21st century skills associated with techniques and laboratory management, including digital area literacy, inventive thinking, effective communication, high productivity and spirituality. Data collection instruments used in this study a questionnaire enclosed and open questionnaire. Data analysis technique used is descriptive technique. The result of data analysis showed that the profile of the 21st century skills students taking techniques and laboratory management gained an average of 3.91 (Good). Based on the results of this study concluded that students who take the course techniques and laboratory management academic year 2014/2015 has the potential to face the challenges of the 21st century.Keywords : 21st Century Skills, Techniques and Laboratory Management, Profile

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to develop a biology learning materials that oriented to scientific approach on the growth and development topic for senior high school grade XII. The learning materials consists of lesson plan (RPP); students worksheet (LKS); assessment sheet that consist of written, attitude, performance, product, project, portfolio and self assessment; and interactive learning media. This research was conducted at Biology Education Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Riau and the tryout at SMAN 8 Pekanbaru on June to December 2014. Validation sheet was used as data collecting instrument. Validation sheet was filled by the internal and external validator and for each learning materials. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The result of validation showed that the mean score for lesson plan was 3.6, students worksheet was 3.5, written assessment was 3.5, attitude assessment was 3.6, performance assessment was 3.6, product assessment was 3.5, project assessment was 3.4, self-assessment was 3.5, portfolio assessment was 3.4 and interactive learning media was 3.3. Further, the tryout carried out with using 3rd meeting worksheets and self-assessment questionnaire to 34 students of class XII IPA 2 SMAN 8 Pekanbaru. Based on the results, it can be concluded that this learning materials could implemented through a field-scale trials.Key words: growth and development, scientific approach, the biology of learning, development

Abstract

Abstract:This study is a class action that aims to improve the learning outcomes of students of class VII SMPN 1 Sinaboi Satu Atap 2015/2016 school year by implementing cooperative learning model type STAD. This research was conducted in two cycles of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The parameters in this study is the thoroughness of learning outcomes derived from the value of post tets and the daily test, student activities and teacher's activities are collected using observation sheet. The results showedabsorption in the first cycle was 69.24% (or less) and the second cycle increased to 87.2% (good). Mastery learning students in the first cycle that 74.96% (enough) and the second cycle increased to 81.04% (excellent).Group awards in the first cycle, one predicated super group and4 great predicated group. In the second cycle, the 2 groups and 3 groups predicated predicated super great. Learning activities of students during a discussion with the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD first cycle is 81% (good) increased to 93.87% (excellent) on the second cycle. Activities teachers in the learning process in the first cycle is 75%, (enough) and the second cycle was 95% (excellent). It can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD can improve learning outcomes IPA class VII SMPN 1 Sinaboi Atap school year 2015/2016.Keywords : STAD cooperative mode, IPA Learning Outcomes
