Abstract

Abstract:Research of development has been done which is aim to develop student work sheets based on scientific approach for subjects digestion system and respiratory system on xi grade in senior high school. This research was did in study program of biology and 5 senior high school Pekanbaru on july until august 2015. Subjects of research were basic competencies 3.7 and 3.8 on digestion system and respiratory systemsubjects. This research was started by analyzing the curriculum, syllabus, and work sheets that arranged by Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP). And then making the new design of the work sheets according to scientific approach they are 3 lecturers and 2 teachers. Validation aspects that was assessed consist of 3 aspects, which are planning, pedagogic, and the contents. After the validation, the work sheets were fixed according to the inputs and comments from validators and the work sheets part ii were produced. After that the work sheets were given limited trial with spreading the studentsquestionnaire responses in 5 senior high school to 17 students on xi grade science class. And next the work sheets were re-revision according to the inputs and comments from the limited trial so that produced the final result of the work sheets. The average of validation results that has been continued develop on digestion system subject are 3.26, 5.50, 3.40. while to respiratory system subject are 3.35, 3.31, and 3.45. student responses to the work sheets aspects were 85 with very good category to non-experimental work sheets and 80 with good category to experimental work sheets. the research result showed that development of student work sheets based on scientific approach for digestion system and respiratory systemsubjects has successfully developed using develop model addie with very valid and very good category.Keywords: development, student work sheets, scientific approach, digestion system, respiratory system.

Abstract

Abstract : This research conducted at VII.A class of SMPN 3 Bangko the 2015/2016 school year to improve student learning outcomes by implementing cooperative learning model STAD. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The parameters in this study is the thoroughness of learning outcomes derived from the value of post tets and the daily test, student activities and teacher's activities and there are collected using observation sheet. The results showed increased absorbency where first post test is 75.20 into 79.50 in post test 2, while the second cycle value increased 85.00 first post test on second post test to 90.6. Mastery learning increased from the first cycle that 74.55 (enough), being 80.70 (both) in the second cycle. Choice group increased from the first cycle, four great groups and one group of super, into three great groups and two groups of super in the second cycle. Student activity increased from the first cycle average of 81.73% to 94.04% in the second cycle. Teacher activity increased from the first cycle an average of 75% (enough), to an average of 95% (excellent) on the second cycle. It can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model STAD can improve learning outcomes of VII.A grade science students at SMPN 3 Bangko 2015/2016 school year.Keywords : Cooperative Learning Type STAD, Learning achievement2

Abstract

Abstract: This research is a descriptive research that aims to produce learning module for students class x hight school. The subject of this research is competency the basis (KD) 3.2 hight school class x : the analyze various levels of biodiversity in Indonesia along with the threat preservation. Research conducted at FKIP Riau University and SMAN 1 XIII Koto Kampar in September to November 2017. This research is a development research with ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) and just made to the stage of development. Data collection begins with local biodiversity observations of spesies (plant and animals), which are widely present around student learning environments, including the diversity of gene, species, and coomunitas/ecosystem levels. Data observations biodiversity based local potential will be used to design a learning modules biodiversity. Further data was collected by the validation and trial. Validation aims to see useful module from expert opinion in the field of material of the existing in learning modules. While the trial aims to see useful module to analyze the questionnaire students’ responses. Data obtained from the analysysis of the results obtained a score all modules obtain an average score 4.33 by category is invalid. Consists of aspects of the content presented obtain an average 4.46 by category very valid, aspacts of the languege obtained averange score of 4.23 by category very valid, and aspacts graphics design obtain ab average score of 4.33 by category is invalid. Average value response 20 students to the module developed on learning 1 is 4.24, learning 2 average score of 4.20, and at the learning modules 3 ie with an average score of 4.24 by category very good.Keywords: Research Development, Learning Modules, Biodiversity Potential Local.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve learning outcomes biology class XI Science SMA Taruna Pekanbaru through the implementation model of Discovery Learning (DL) using the Concept Map, the research was conducted in SMA Taruna Pekanbaru in April-May 2016. The parameters measured were the result study of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The methods of this research was classroom action research. It had been done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research instrument used was learning devices and data collection instruments. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results of this study indicate the cognitive aspects of daily tests first cycle that 80.97 (Enough) increased in the second cycle into 84.67 (enough). Students who complete the first cycle of 27 students (89.91%) and the second cycle is 27 students (89.91%). While the average aspect of attitude in the first cycle that 67.40 (Less) and increased in the second cycle into 87.19 (Good). Furthermore, the average in the first cycle that psychomotor aspects 78.90 (Enough) and increased in the second cycle into 91.81 (good). Based on these data we can conclude that the application of the model of Discovery Learning (DL) using Concept Maps can improve learning outcomes biology class XI Science Senior High School Taruna Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to describe Science teachers’ Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) at Public Junior High School in Siak Regency. This study held on November 2017 until March 2018. The sample of this study was 53 science teachers at Public Junior High School in Siak Regency that selected by purposive sampling. This study conducted with question test of Pedagogical Content Knowledge develop by Tari Rezky Ayunda (2017), closed-ended and open-ended questionnaire. The question test of Pedagogical Content Knowledge consist 96 items. The questionnaire consists 40 items of closed-ended and 5 items of closed-ended, which is it divided to 3 subdomains. The subdomains are Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), Content Knowledge (CK), and Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK). The questionnaire items is valid and reliable. Descriptive study was implemented in this study. The result showed that science teachers’ PCK at Public Junior High School in Siak Regency was not good enough (M=52,02%), PK was very not good (M=43,93%), CK was not good (M=57,48%), and PCK was not good (M=54,66%). That result indicated that science teacher at Public Junior High School in Siak Regency could not implement their pedagogical content knowledge in science learning.Key Words: Pedagogical Content Knowledge, Junior High School, Science Teacher

Abstract

Scientific Literacy-Based Biology Textbook can be used to improve the literacy of science of senior high school students. This research aims to provide a qualified scientific literacy-based biology textbook. The research consists of the stages of analysis, design, and development. This book was developed based on the analysis of question items of the PISA 2006 and 2015 as well as linkages with the basic competency of curriculum 2013. The stage of analysis, design, development, internal validation and test I carried out in the biology laboratory of FKIP Universitas Riau. The external validation and testing II implemented in SMA Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The analysis of question items of the PISA 2006 and 2015 produce four topics which are developed; Methods, biodiversity, evolution, and biotechnology. This book was validated based on three aspects of scientific literacy: aspects of the format of the book and the graphic, aspect of content eligibility and scientific literacy. The contents eligibility includes the technique of presentation and scientific literacy includes science as the torso, science as a way of investigating, science as a way of thinking, and scientific as interaction between the science technology and society. The third aspect is the aspect of language. Scientific literacy-based biology textbook that is produced in this research is at a very valid category and very good so it is appropriate to be used as a source of autodidact learning in developing scientific literacy ability.

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to produce a quality book for technical question preparation USBN of science subjects for junior high school teachers. The process of developing book is carried out in the University of Riau Biology Education Study Program and a limited trial is conducted in MGMP Pekanbaru. The time of the research was May until December 2018. The development model used was the ADDIE model until the development stage. Research subjects were direction of USBN 2017/2018. The instruments used are validation sheets, student response questionnaires and book product that have been developed. The data were collected by filling the validation sheet by five validators (three lecturers of Biology Education and two natural science teachers), fill out the respondents questionnaire. The validation sheet filled using Likert scale and will be analyzed by calculating the mean of all validators. Average score of book that has been developed that is, include format and grafical aspects is 3,32, illustrations and draw aspects is 3,20, language aspects is 3,28, and content aspects is 3,33. The category of all scores of the five aspect is valid-very valid. The average validation is 3,28 (very valid). The response in first simulation is 3,56 and the response in second simulation is 3,25 which is categorized very good. Based on the result of validation and limited trial, can be conclussion that quality of book is very valid and already to implementation, can be used by teachers as one of the independent learning resources for prepare and arrange the standard question especially USBN, and can be used as a reference by the natural science teachers.Key Words: Book, IPA, SMP, Technical Question Preparation, National Standardized School Examination (USBN)

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims at describing the feasibility level of learning books according to the National Education Standards Agency (BSNP) and the scientific literacy level of class XII biology learning books based on 4 dimensions, namely science as a body of knowledge, science as a way of thinking, science as a way of investigation and science and its interactions with technology and society. This study uses a quantitative approach with the content analysis method. The sample in this study was the biology learning book for class XII by Irnaningtyas in the 2013 curriculum which was chosen by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained from the results of book feasibility and the level of scientific literacy by using book feasibility instruments according to the BSNP and a sheet of scientific literacy level analysis based on 4 dimensions. Stages of analysis were divided into 2 stages, namely the stage of book feasibility analysis and analysis of the level of scientific literacy of biology learning books. The data analysis was using descriptive statistical methods. The results of the data analysis show that the level of feasibility in the analyzed learning book has been declared feasible according to BSNP. At the level of scientific literacy, only the scientific dimension as a body of knowledge gets a good category. The results of this study can be used as material in the development of learning books based on the content of 4 dimensions of scientific literacy in balanced proportions. Abstract

Abstract : The research was conducted to determine the types of insect pollinators on watermelon (Citrulus lanatus) agricultural land Pekanbaru City in February to June, 2014. Research results are used to teaching materials in the form of learning modules, insektarium media and interactive learning media. This research was carried out by two stage that is the field research stage and stage development of learning resources. Data retrieval technique using total sampling with threere search stations. Station I : located in the Naga Sakti Street, RT 02/RW 02, SimpangBaru Village, Tampan District, Pekanbaru. Station II : located in the Lintas Timur Street Kilometers 18, RT 05/RW 08, Kulim Village, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru. Station III : located in the Ikan Parang Street, RT 03/RW 05, Muara Fajar Village, Rumbai District, Pekanbaru. Biological parameters observed are the type of insect pollinators and physical parameters include temperature, humidityand light intensity. The results showed that there are 13 species of insect pollinators belonging to 6 families and 3orders that the Order Hymenoptera, Order Lepidoptera and Order Diptera. Order Hymenoptera Family Apidae (2 species), Family Anthoporidae (1 species), Family Vespidae (1 species). Order Lepidoptera Famliy Nympalidae (5 species), Family Pieridae (3 species) and Order Diptera Family Syrphidae (1 species). Results of the study can beusedas a learning resourcein the form of learning modules, insectarium media and interactive learning media on biodiversity material class X High School. The average valueof learning resources developed ranged from 3.31 to 3.51with the validity criteria are very valid. The final stageof the research conducted limited testingof learning modules were tested in class X SMA N 8 Pekanbaru the number of students as many as 34 students. Based on the results of this research is that learning resources developed can already be implemented with the validity criteria are very valid.Key Word :Type Insect Pollinators, Plants Watermelon, Learning Resources

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to improve scientific literacy of student class XI MIA 2 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru by implementation guided inquiry model. It had been done in SMAN 1 Pekanbaru on March of May 2019. Parameters measure were student’s scientific literacy competencies, scientific literacy knowledge, student’s achievement, and scientific literacy attitudes. The type of this research was classroom action research by implementation guided inquiry model. It had been done in two cylce. There were planning step, acting step, observation step and reflection step for each cycle. The research instrument used was a learning device that consist of a lesson plan, syllabus, assesment authentic sheet, observation sheet and scientific literacy competencies skill sheet. The collected data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that scientific literacy competencies on first cycle was 81,89 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 86,80 (B). The result of this research showed that scientific literacy knowledges on first cycle was 79,97 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 88,01 (B). Student’achievement on first cycle was 80,09 (B) and increased on second cycle up to 85,46 (B). Classical completeness percentage on first cycle was 88,89% and increased on second cycle up to 100%. Student’s scientific literacy attitudes on first cycle was 80,77 (C) and increased on second cycle up to 89,18 (B). It can be conclude that guided inquiry model can improve scientific literacy of student class XI MIA 2 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru.Key Words: Guided Inquiry, Scientific Literacy, Biology Lesson
