Abstract

Sexual harassment is a currently netizen’s habit on social media. Almost all of their comments on social media contain words to abuse. This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the forms of sexual harassment and identifying the factors of sexual harassment on social media. This study uses a qualitative method of narrative tradition with a focus on investigating sexual harassment that occurs on social media. Data collection methods are carried out by observing comments of netizens. The characteristics of the comments that chosen in this study are those written on Instagram and point to the element of sexual harassment. The results show that sexual harassment on social media is happen with; 1. directly (explicitly), 2. indirectly (implicitly) according to the meaning of the sentence. Then, the factors of sexual harassment on social media are; 1. netizens are looking for attention (as evidenced by accounts that are used only fake accounts), 2. photo content or account owner captions that lead netizens to harass. Suggestions based on this study are the need to develop psychoeducation for adolescents and families both as subjects and victims so as to avoid sexual harassment behavior.

Abstract

Slametan is a tradition which is still embraced by Javanese in general, especially who is in rural areas. The slametan has different characteristics in each region that due to heterogeneity factors. The research purposes to describe slametan forms, process, and syncretism patterns of slametan tradition in Ngaringan village, Gandusari district, Blitar. The research used a qualitative tradition with descriptive narrative approach which is thematic analysis for data analysis process used. The research were participated by public figures in Ngaringan village. Data collection with in-depth interviews and observation. It found (1) Slametan forms generally includes birth, death, marriage, cleaning the village, feast day, welcoming Ramadhan, celebrating after coming back from abroad for the work, and celebrating when harvest comes. (2) The slametan process consists of serving food (such as; chicken in ingkung form, buceng rice, jenang colors red and white, jenang sengkolo) and prayer. (3) The slametan tradition is a pattern of syncretism between Java and Islam as a pillar of “Islam Nusantara”. The Slametan had already existed as a Javanese ritual before Islam came than they were merged into the one. The research conclusion reveals that the slametan tradition is a ritual which is combining between Javanese and Islamic traditions than became characteristic of “Islam Nusantara”.

Abstract

AbstractThe systematic review aims to find the types of effective social interventions applied to adolescents with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in several articles selected through the screening process in 2010-2018. The review was conducted with search keywords "social intervention" and "autism spectrum disorder" on 3 online databases, namely ERIC, Springer Link, and ScienceDirect. There were 8 articles reviewed from a total of 420 obtained from screening results according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the social skills of adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) can be improved and developed through several interventions such as the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS), Multimodal Anxiety and Social Skills Intervention (MASSI), Peer Network Intervention, and CBT-CSCA. The four interventions were significantly able to increase knowledge and social skills in adolescents who experienced ASD so that it could be a reference in the intervention process in subsequent applications. While measurement with the Social Skills Rating System (SSRS) by Gresham & Elliot is the most comprehensive measurement in improving adolescent social skills. This evidenced by several articles that use this measurement and have a positive impact. The development of interventions on symbolic communication among adolescents with ASD needs to be applied in future research.Keywords: Social intervention, autism, adolescence

Abstract

Java is one of the region into the purpose of Alor community to stay and settle in, it will show the contact between Alor culture and Java culture. This research aims to describe acculturation strategy of Alor community in Java. The research used qualitative tradition with ethnography approach. Data collection used observation and in-depth interview techniques. Data were analyzed by three stages of Flow Model analyze, that is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The result showed that (1) Alor organization in Java can help in increasing solidarity and sense of belonging of Alor culture, (2) They have a problem in the language and the emergence of prejudice, (3) Integration is acculturation strategy used by Alor community in Java, but they are only interested to know, not to apply it. The conclusion showed that Alor community uses integration strategy in their acculturation process with Javanese culture.

Abstract

Systematic review aims to analyze the impact of interventions that mediated by peers on children with special needs in an inclusion setting. The review was conducted with the search keywords "peers" and "inclusive class", "peers" and "inclusion settings", "peers" and "inclusive settings", "peers" and "inclusive classrooms" in 2 online databases, namely ERIC and ScienceDirect. There were 11 articles reviewed from the total number of initial searches of 1,233 obtained from screening results according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results show that all interventions that have been implemented involve the role of peers. The focus of interventions various kinds, ranging from children aged 3-16 years and more focus on children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Eleven Interventions that involve peers are significantly able to improve interaction, communication, social skills and social initiation in children with special needs so that it can be a reference in the process of intervention in the further application or research.

Abstract

Internet users are increasing over time. The increasing of internet users, especially for youth people, tends to create internet addiction in each user. Internet addiction in youth people is interesting to know their attitudes and behavior psychologically, because it is related to their daily conditions. This research was conducted to answer the psychological dynamics of youth people with internet addiction. To answer that, there are some research questions such as what factors make young people addicted to the internet? what do they feel when not using the internet? and what are the impacts of using the internet for them? The research method uses qualitative methods with narrative descriptive approaches. Data analysis using thematic data analysis. The results showed that 1) the need for affiliation, high curiosity about information, and online business became the reason youth people access the internet, 2) youth people feel anxious and loneliness when not accessing the internet, 3) the impact of accessing the internet such as sad and happy on their emotions that occur according to situations and conditions. In addition, researchers also found interesting things from their attitude who experienced boredom when often using the internet but failed for them to stop or reduce access to the internet. The conclusion that the internet now is a necessary for youth people, because the internet has a major impact on their psychological factors.

Abstract

Violence on children has become a big unsolvable problem in Indonesian education. In fact, the government has ratified some Laws to protect them from any form of violence. Likely, Islam as the mostly followed religion in the country does the same through its mission called rahmatan li al-alamin or blessing for all. This research relies on a question on how far the Indonesian rules and Islamic law concern on this issue by protecting children from any violence. Using qualitative method in the law research and documentary analysis, it is found that the Indonesian Laws have been sufficient for that purpose as they prohibit all forms of violence against students. Along with it, the perpetrators deserve for punishment due to the mistakes level while the victims deserve for recovery and trauma healing to grow their optimism. In line with that, Islamic law also prohibits any violence because it breaks the purpose of shariah, namely enforcing the goodness (maslahah) and avoiding the harm (mudarat). However, Islamic law still tolerates hitting a child for the sake of education and their goodness as long it is performed softly and becoming the very last option. Both laws, therefore, strengthen each other to protect children from any form of violence mainly at the education sphere. لا يزال العنف نحو الأطفال في عالم التربية مشكلة كبيرة لم يتم حلها، وخاصة في إندونيسيا. في الواقع، وضعت الحكومة عددا من القوانين واللوائح لحماية الأطفال من العنف. وبالمثل، فإن الإسلام – وهو دين غالبية سكان إندونيسيا - موجود ليكون رحمة للعالمين. والسؤال الذي نركز عليه في هذا البحث هو، كيف تحمي القوانين واللوائح الحالية الطلاب من أعمال العنف، وكيف تولي الشريعة الإسلامية اهتماما للحد من العنف على الأطفال؟ ومن خلال المنهج النوعي مع البحوث القانونية وتحليل الوثائق، تبين أن القوانين واللوائح الموجودة كافية لحماية الأطفال من العنف. فالأنظمة القائمة، تمنع جميع أشكال العنف ضد الطلاب، حيث يجب معاقبة الجناة وفقا لدرجة الخطأ والذنب، ويجب تقديم المساعدة للضحية للقضاء على الصدمة وتعزيز التفاؤل، ويجب التعاون من جميع الأطراف التصدي للعنف معا. من جهة أخرى، فإن الشريعة الإسلامية تمنع وتحظر العنف ضد الأطفال لأنه يتعارض مع الغرض من الشريعة الإسلامية، وهو تحقيق الصلاح ورفع الضرر. ومع ذلك، فإن الشريعة الإسلامية تنص على السماح باستخدام العنف للأغراض التربوية من أجل مصلحة الطفل، ولكن يجب أن يتم ذلك بحذر بعناية وكملاذ أخير بعد استخدام جميع الأساليب الأخرى. إن القوانين واللوائح في إندونيسيا والشريعة الإسلامية تعزز بعضها البعض بشكل أساسي لحماية الأطفال من العنف، وخاصة في مجال التربية.

Abstract

Couples caring for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are always associated with lower marital satisfaction and higher divorce potential. But not all of them are like that, because they can also maintain and be able to achieve marital satisfaction while caring for children with ASD. The study aims to explore the experience of achieving marital satisfaction in couples caring for children with ASD. Qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach are used in this study. Data was collected using semi-structured interviews, while data were analyzed through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The participants involved consisted of 7 marriages couples and 4 informants. The Couple Satisfaction Index (CSI-16) questionnaire was used as a preliminary study to identify couples who have high marital satisfaction. Validity test using member check technique and triangulation of data sources. The results of the study resulted in 5 main themes, such as the first experience of couples while caring for a child with ASD; fulfillment of couples needs while caring for a child with ASD; fulfillment of couple's expectations; actions taken to achieve marital satisfaction; and duration of marital satisfaction achievement. The process of achieving marital satisfaction in couples caring for children with ASD varies according to duration, but always begins with a downturn and continues with the desire to achieve marital satisfaction.Pasangan dengan anak penyandang Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) selalu dikaitkan dengan kepuasan perkawinan yang rendah dan potensi perceraian yang lebih tinggi. Namun tidak semuanya demikian, karena mereka juga bisa mempertahankan dan mampu mencapai kepuasan perkawinan selama mengasuh anak penyandang ASD. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman pencapaian kepuasan perkawinan pada pasangan dengan anak penyandang ASD. Metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara semi-terstruktur, sedangkan data dianalisis melalui Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). Partisipan yang terlibat terdiri dari 7 pasangan dan 4 informan. Kuesioner Couple Satisfaction Index (CSI-16) digunakan sebagai preliminary study untuk mengidentifikasi pasangan yang memiliki kepuasan perkawinan yang tinggi. Uji validitas menggunakan teknik member check dan triangulasi sumber data. Hasil penelitian menghasilkan 5 tema utama, seperti pengalaman awal pasangan selama mengasuh anak penyandang ASD; pemenuhan kebutuhan pasangan selama mengasuh anak penyandang ASD; pemenuhan harapan pasangan; tindakan yang dilakukan dalam mencapai kepuasan perkawinan; dan durasi pencapaian kepuasan perkawinan. Proses pencapaian kepuasan perkawinan pada pasangan yang mengasuh anak penyandang ASD cenderung berbeda sesuai durasi, namun selalu diawali dengan keterpurukan dan berlanjut pada keinginan untuk mencapai kepuasan perkawinan.
