Abstract

Layered double hydroxide (LDH) Ni/Al-NO3 was synthesized using a coprecipitation method under base condition following with intercalation using Keggin ion [a-SiW12O40]4- to form Ni/Al-[a-SiW12O40] LDH. The LDHs were characterized using XRD, FTIR, BET, and pHpzc analyses. Furthermore, LDHs were applied as adsorbent of iron(II) from aqueous solution. The adsorption process was studied through the effect of adsorption time, the concentration of iron(II), and temperature adsorption. The results show the interlayer distance of LDHs was increased from 7.408 Ã… to 10.533 Ã… after intercalation process. The adsorption of iron(II) on LDHs showed that adsorption of iron(II) on both LDHs follows pseudo first-order kinetic model with R2 value is close to one. The adsorption process was spontaneous, with adsorption capacity up to 36.496 mg g-1.

Abstract

Pengunjung obyek wisata Curug Ceheng di Desa Gandatapa, Kecamatan Sumbang-lereng selatan Gunung Slamet-Kabupaten Banyumas perlu mendapatkan informasi aspek geologi pada lokasi kunjungannya. Sebagian besar dari para wisatawan ini belum mengetahui makna keilmuan secara geologi (geoscience). Pengabdian kepada masyarakat sosialisasi geowisata Curug Ceheng di Kabupaten Banyumas-Jawa Tengah ini adalah melalui serangkaian langkah dari review pustaka, pengamatan lapangan air terjun, sosialisasi pada masyarakat/wisatawan dan selanjutnya penyusunan publikasi karya pengabdian ini. Kegiatan sosialisasi kepada wisatawan mengenai aspek geowisata Curug Ceheng telah memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman akan makna keilmuan geologi pada lokasi wisata Curug Ceheng.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan antara lain transfer pengetahuan dan teknologi dengan cara penyuluhan dan praktek langsung berupa pelatihan meliputi: pelatihan pemeliharaan tanaman buah dalam pot dan pemupukan tanaman buah dalam pot. Pelatihan sosialisasi teknik penanaman tanaman buah dengan bibit unggul dan pemupukan NPK dan pupuk daun pada tanaman buah, upaya untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi pada tanaman. Tanaman buah yang ditanam dalam pot antara lain jambu air, jambu biji, kelengkeng, belimbing, jeruk dan mangga. Metode yang diterapkan adalah ceramah, praktek langsung, dan pelatihan dengan dibuat kelompok yang masing-masing anggotanya berjumlah 5 sampai 6 orang. Target luaran peningkatan pengetahuan tentang budidaya pembibitan tanaman jambu air citra dan belimbing yang baik dan efisien sebesar di atas 70%, peningkatan keterampilan tentang budidaya pembibitan tanaman jambu air citra dan belimbing yang efisien dan baik sebesar 70%, dan peningkatan optimalisasi lahan pekarangan dengan penanaman tanaman buah dalam pot sebesar 40%. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian sebagai berikut: 1) Kegiatan pengabdian berbasis riset telah dilaksanakan dengan baik dan mendapat respon yang positif dari murid, Kepala Sekolah, guru, wali murid, maupun karyawan SDIT Mutiara Ilmu Sokaraja; 2) Pemupukan adalah NPK 10 g/tanaman jambu biji dan jeruk, 20 g/tanaman jambu air, 30 g/tanaman mangga, 40 g/tanaman belimbing, dan pupuk daun 1 g/l; dan 3) SDIT Mutiara Ilmu Sokaraja menginginkan kegiatan lanjutan berupa membungakan bibit tanaman buah di dalam pot, sehingga diharapkan kegiatan pengabdian dapat dilaksanakan untuk tahun kedua (pada tahun 2019).Kata Kunci: Tanaman Buah dalam Pot, Pemupukan. ABSTRACTThe activities carried out include transfer of knowledge and technology by means of counseling and direct practice in the form of training including: training in the maintenance of fruit trees in pots and fertilizing fruit plants in pots. Training on socialization of techniques for planting fruit trees with superior seeds and fertilizing NPK and leaf fertilizers on fruit trees, efforts to increase growth and production in plants. Fruit plants planted in pots include water guava, guava, longan, star fruit, oranges and mangoes. The methods applied were lectures, direct practice, and training with groups of 5 to 6 student. Output targets for increasing knowledge of good and efficient guava seedling and sta rfruit plant nursery cultivation are above 70%, improvement in skills of efficient and good image guava plant nursery and star fruit cultivation by 70%, and increased optimization of yard area by planting plants fruit in pots by 40%. The results of dedication are as follows: 1) Research-based service activities have been carried out well and received positive responses from students, principals, teachers, guardians of students, and employees of SDIT Mutiara Ilmu Sokaraja, 2) Fertilizing NPK 10 g/plant to guava and oranges, 20 g /plant water to apple, 30 g/plant to mango, 40 g/plant to star fruit, and 1 g/l leaf fertilizer, and 3) SDIT Mutiara Ilmu Sokaraja wants further activities in the form of flowering fruit seeds in pots, so it is expected that service activities can be carried out for the second year (in 2019).Keywords: Fruit Plants in Pot, Fertilization.

Abstract

The coastal areas of Pekalongan, which are densely populated with activities such as ports, industries, and settlements, are highly vulnerable to changes in water quality due to nutrient distribution. This study aims to explore the distribution patterns and abundance of micronutrients in Pekalongan coastal and their implications for water quality and environmental impacts. Samples were taken from Mrican River, Pencongan River, and Wonokerto Beach. The analysis involved spatial distribution, statistical tests with Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and water quality assessment using CCME-WQI. The results showed that the highest concentrations of micronutrients were found in iron in RW 6 of Mrican River, copper in SW 4 of Wonokerto Beach, and zinc in SW 5 of Wonokerto Beach. Based on the CCME-WQI, the quality of Pekalongan coastal waters is classified as poor, potentially posing a great risk to aquatic biota and the health of humans who consume polluted biota. Abstract

Heterogeneous Fenton can solve the problem in classic Fenton which is a homogeneous catalyst. Some of the problems with classic Fenton contained sludge production, lost catalysts, and no reuse. This study focuses on the application of Fe-alginate gel beads in the photo-Fenton system using UV light to degrade the dye rhodamine B. After the synthesis step of Fe-alginate gel beads, beads are used to degrade rhodamine B. In addition, the rate of kinetics, mechanism tests, and the reusable tests of Fe-alginate gel beads was also observed. The results confirmed that the degradation value of rhodamine B is 98.8% with the photocatalytic activity is 88.8%. This heterogenous Fenton system fits in first order and •OH is the main radical species to degrade rhodamine B. The reuseable Fe-alginate gel beads were taken out five times, and showed a degradation value of more than 90%. Therefore, it can confirm that the usage of Fe-alginate gel beads as a heterogeneous Fenton may be applied to industrial wastewater processing containing dyes or organic pollutants because this photo-Fenton system is low cost and also be able on visible light.

Abstract

Pengunjung obyek wisata Bukit Pentulu Indah di Karangsambung-Kabupaten Kebumen perlu mendapatkan edukasi unsur-unsur geologis pada lokasi-lokasi yang dikunjungi. Sebagian besar pengunjung belum memahami fenomena geologi yang diamati. Pengabdian pada masyarakat sosialisasi geo-wisata Bukit Pentulu Indah ini dilakukan melalui rangkaian alur dari kaji pustaka, observasi lapangan, sosialisasi pada pengunjung dan kemudian penulisan karya pengabdian ini. Tujuan sosialisasi pada geo-wisatawan tentang aspek geowisata Bukit Pentulu Indah telah menambahkan pengetahuan/pemahaman tentang makna geologis pada lokasi geo-wisata. Pengunjung tidak hanya datang dan menikmati pemandangan, namun mereka juga memahami dan memperoleh pencerahan akan aspek geoscience dibalik fenomena yang mereka lihat.
